Come back to Blossom Street with the novel that begins the beloved series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber, where you’ll find everything you’re looking for, from yarn and flowers, to friendship… and maybe even a new romance. Four lives knit together… There’s a little yarn store in Seattle called A Good Yarn. It’s owned by Lydia Hoffman, and it represents her dream of … represents her dream of a new beginning, a life free from cancer. A life that offers a chance at love…
Lydia teaches knitting to beginners, and the first class is How to Make a Baby Blanket. Three women join. Jacqueline Donovan disapproves of the woman married to her only son, but knitting a baby blanket would be a gesture of reconciliation.
For Carol Girard, the baby blanket brings a message of hope as she and her husband make a final attempt to conceive.
And tough-looking Alix Townsend (that’s Alix with an i) is learning to knit her blanket for a court-ordered community service project.
These four very different women, brought together by the age-old craft of knitting, make unexpected discoveries–about themselves and each other. Discoveries that lead to friendship and acceptance, to laughter and dreams. Discoveries only women can share…

Thoroughly enjoyed this book!
Good book to read with a cup of tea. Relaxing and enjoyable. This author always provides a good book. I wait for every new release.
Loved this book!
Good book and story. Kept you guessing right up until the end. I highly recommend it.
I liked this book as a fun read inbetween some heavy duty non-fiction social justice books. I personally love books about knitting shops as it typically brings characters from all walks of life together. This book was no exception.
Fun read
Enjoyed everything about it. The plot, the characters abd how descriptive the story was. Love books that take place in a Yarn Store, B&B, Book Store, Tea Room, etc.
This was an enjoyable easy read.
I ‘m not a knitter but I got the book anyway as I like books where women help each other. I really loved this book and the side story about the main character’s sister relationship made me happy!
I’m ready to pack and move to Blossom Street! If only friendships among such diverse personalities could develop in real life! I am going to my yarn store now so I can make Lydia’s baby blanket for my neighbor.
I loved this book
