I enjoyed the characters and the early times in our country. Felt it was a little slow in some areas. Sweet love story but no surprises!
This book had some wonderful characters and was chock-full of historical detail from the place and time. The story also had sufficient plot to hold my interest the whole way through.

I’ve been a fan of Ardiana Trigiani for years, my first love is Lucia Lucia, as well as he Big Stone Gap series being my favorite series… that was until Very Valentine. Each book Trigiani writes is so compassionate and full of strength so when I read The Shoemaker’s Wife, I was not disappointed. I couldn’t put it down for days. Read them all!

Loved the books in this series.
Thank you, Adriana Trigiani, for your thoughtful character development, illustration of the American dream, and representation of the kind of love we all hope for. I found myself so invested that I sobbed (aloud, thank you very much) on my plane ride from Atlanta to Seattle (my seat mate likely is not as appreciative).
