Laid off and down to her last few dollars, Gina Taylor is desperate to provide for her baby boy when she sees an advertisement for a mail order bride in Marietta, Montana. On just a photo of a serious but handsome man and the charm of his kind, deep voice on the phone, Gina packs up her few belongings and leaves the hardships of San Francisco behind. When widowed deputy sheriff Rory Watson buys a … Watson buys a neglected ranch in desperate need of repairs and a homey touch, he realizes how much he misses the companionship marriage offers. His brother found a bride and happiness with an advertisement. Maybe he can too. But Rory gets more than he bargained for when Gina arrives, baby on her hip.
Rory can forgive a lot, but Gina never mentioned a baby. His instinct is to send her home, but his uneasy conscience insists she stay–temporarily. Gradually, Rory discovers that Gina’s smile, love of country life, and can-do attitude wake up something he never knew was dormant, and the chubby baby reminds him of how much he once wanted a family.
Can a down-on-her-luck woman find the home she’s always wanted with a man afraid to love again?

Unrealistic and simplistic. I did like her baby boy.
Loved this book. Read it in one seating. I was not expecting the twist in the story. But all ended well. Love that the main female character was so strong. Will definitely recommend it to my friends.
I enjoyed it.
I liked the theme of family staying together. The bedroom scenes were a bit more descriptive then I usually choose to read. The work ethic was great for all the brothers and wives.
more real life than most. fun to read and a great ending.
Yep, more of the same. This is book two in the Watson Brothers series and it’s basically the same premise as the first. This time it’s Rory, whose wife died three years ago, who figures the whole advertising for a wife worked for his brother, why not for him? Gina is the one who answers the ad. She leaves out one tiny detail when she talks to Rory, though. There is a bit of drama at the very end, but mostly it’s drama-free, at least free of any drama that lasts more than a page or two. If you’re looking for something quick and easy to read this one is OK.
Some of it was a little bit of a stretch, but the story had a good flow and was fairly entertaining. Even though the story was set in Montana it felt as though is was written in Australia. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a bit odd.
Fast read. Concept was a bit unbelievable
This was fun!
GREAT BOOK ! GREAT CHARACTER BUILDING & CHARACTERS!
Gina will do anything for her child including, moving from California to Montana. She takes a leap of face on hopes the Sheriff will marry her like he’s promised. Shortly, after meeting her future husband, Gina’s past finds its way on the Sherriff’s desk. Together the find love and get through Gina’s predicament.
I quit reading about 25% through. It was taking too long for anything to happen between the male and female heroes. It was boring and I would not recommend it.
Good book. Lessons of forgiving and moving on with life toward future happiness.
