At the end of a long and useful life, Penelope Keeling’s prized possession is The Shell Seekers, painted by her father, and symbolizing her unconventional life, from bohemian childhood to wartime romance. When her grown children learn their grandfather’s work is now worth a fortune, each has an idea as to what Penelope should do. But as she recalls the passions, tragedies, and secrets of her … of her life, she knows there is only one answer…and it lies in her heart, in this beloved Cornwall novel from Rosamunde Pilcher.

Fantastic
I love all Rosamund Pilcher’s books, but I truly believe The Shell Seekers is my favorite. How she weaves characters, time, and plot all together is truly amazing. A definite read!!!!!
In the world of Rosamunde Pilcher, The Shell Seekers ranks No.1, This novel introduced me to the poetry of Louis McNiece. Loved this novel. and with Coming Home and Winter Solstice round out the top three of my favourite Pilcher novels.
Just a great read!
This book is one of my all time favorites. It is sad in some ways but real life as well. Very well written and keeps you entertained.
Seemed real and heartfelt.
I loved the characters and the arc of the story. Even though I have never have had the pleasure of visiting Cornwall, I could picture the location and the ebb and flow of the tale. Highly recommended .

One of my favorite novels.
I have read this book twice and will probably read it again. It is one of the few I saved when I needed to whittle down my collection of books.
