Holly Remington can’t believe the burning chemistry she feels with Sheikh Malik Abdul-Rahman. It’s like getting knocked in the head with a baseball bat—except far more pleasant. Though she’s supposed to be all business while her company tries to win a lucrative development contract in the oil-rich country of Qadir, Holly simply can’t stop herself from happily succumbing to his charm. When she’s … she’s called back home after her father suffers a stroke, thoughts of her sheikh romance are never far away. It’s only when she’s ready to return to Qadir to continue her work that she discovers Malik gave her more than sexy memories. She’s pregnant—with twins. And when she sees him again, Malik makes it painfully clear he’s not only rejecting her development proposal, he’s not interested in any other formal proposal either. He wants all of her.
But Holly isn’t sure that’s available, or ever will be.
Sheikh Malik has never reacted to another woman like he does Holly. She’s all business—at least in the beginning—and he finds himself oddly compelled to get to know her other side. Intimately. When he finds out she’s pregnant with his children, he find himself wanting her more. But when Holly begins to talk about how she wants to develop his oasis herself—the one that her company had been desperate to buy and the very one his mother loved and hoped one day would belong to Malik’s future wife, he pulls the breaks on their whirlwind romance. How can he love a woman who seems so out of touch with everything he values?
And yet, how can he not love the only woman whose ever touched his soul?

Leslie North engages the heart in passionate chaos. Malik and Holly do everything wrong to find something so right. Seductively entertaining, The Sheikh’s Surprise Twins give the senses something to sing about.
I enjoyed the Sheikh’s Surprise Twins. It’s a very light easy going love story which is what I needed with the stress of the world lately. Malik and Holly were well developed interesting characters. The secondary characters were fun but not a huge part of the story as the main focus was Holly and Malik’s relationship. The love scenes were well written and sexy. They are on the less explicit side but it’s definitely not a clean romance. If you’re looking for a light fun read this is it. I gave it a four star review as I expected Holly to be angrier or more disappointed in Malik’s behavior towards the end before the HEA.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
An enjoyable short well written romance. This engaging storyline is full of unexpected possibilities, twists and turns, drama, quirkiness, love, and romance. I was addicted page after page to the outcome as love prevail with loving the last chapters.
The Sheikhs’ Surprises Twins is the first book in the Qadir Sheikhs series.
Holly is an American Architect working on a proposal for Malik in Qadir. Malik is not looking for love, but when Holly catches he eye something happens.
Anytime Malik and Holly talk about the Oasis, Malik shuts down refusing to hear her ideas not believing she understood him or his country. Because of him being blind to what can be he almost loses Holly and the babies.
What a great what to start a series, to remind us to be open to what can be, instead of what should be.

This is the first book in Lesli North’s Qadir Sheikhs series featuring Holly Remington, a business developer seeking a contract with the Sheikh, and Sheikh Malik Abdul Rahman of Qadir who acts upon his attraction to Holly and has a sexual liaison with her. Holly is called home for an emergency health problem with her father, but finds she is pregnant before returning to Qadir. When she tells the Sheikh about her condition they learn she is pregnant with twins, but due to a misunderstanding they separate. Will Malik realize his mistake? I recommend this five star romance with its sizzling chemistry.

She develops herself in his heart
The Sheikh’s Surprise Twins is the first book in the Qadir Sheikhs series by Leslie North. It is the story of Holly Remington, a young American woman who works for Berber, Inc.. a property developer. She is in Qadir with her boss Clifton Berber to present the firms proposal to the royal family to develop several sights in Qadir. Sheikh Malik is the Crown Prince of Qadir and the oldest of three sons and one daughter of King Hasim. He has been put in charge of overseeing the proposals and development of the properties and has invited several different firms from around the world to submit their proposals. Berber, Inc. has been invited as Clifton and King Hasim have been friends from their college days.
When Malik first sees Holly he takes a misstep, literally, and his heart tumbles into his rib cage landing near the pit of his stomach. To him she is gorgeous……..no stunning. There is something different about her and when she does not come into the event that the family is throwing for all of the firms, instead choosing to walk around the oasis they are at, he grabs a couple glasses of champagne and goes in search of her. They initially hit it off but then he misjudges her and turns around quickly. However, a few days later and he still cannot get her out of his head so he invites her to dinner, is it a date or just a professional dinner?
For Holly she is attracted to Malik but realizes that she cannot get involved, even for a fling, with a potential client. She was brought up by a single father who instilled the ability to harness her emotions, analyze things logically and go after what she wants, which she does. But when the body craves what it wants, even if the mind realizes it should not, you can’t fight it forever. So one night is what they have together, one perfect, beautiful and explosive night. A few weeks later after Holly is back in NYC and not feeling well she puts some dates together and then takes a test to confirm that she her one wild night with Malik has given her a gift which she had not expected. Now what will happen when she sees Malik again when she and Clifton return to Qadir to present the development proposal? Holly knows she will need to tell Malik but the question is when and how? Will he be happy or will he be mad and what will that mean for her and the baby?
I really loved this book as it has a nice story-line with some drama, fun, some quirkiness, a nice amount of hot and steamy sexy chemistry and scenes and of course love, both insta and family. I look forward to reading the other books about the brothers and the women that end up tying them all up in knots……….or dumping them off their horses.
Let me say, Leslie North does crank out the books. That said, I have enjoyed everyone so far. This book is between an architect and Sheikh and is an easy, fun entertaining read with a side of steam. Of course there are twins and an HEA involved. Grab an adult beverage and enjoy.
I always enjoy Leslie North’s books and this was no exception. I loved that Malik was the sheikh and Holly was an American. I thought they were great together and I loved that even though there were issues they worked them out and got their happy ending.

Holly and her boss are in Qadir to get a lucrative redevelopment contract with the royal family. Malik sees Holly is stunned by her beauty and wants to know who she is and to get to know her. Holly and Malik have dinner together, but Holly doesn’t want the night to end and invites Malik up to her hotel room where they spend the night together. Holly is called back to New York when she receives a call telling her that her father had suffered a stroke. While Holly was gone from Qadir, she learned she was pregnant with Malik’s child. When Holly returns to Qadir with her boss, she tells Mailk she is pregnant. Malik gets her an appointment with an OBGYN, and they learn she is pregnant with twins. Holly’s boss fires her for having a relationship with Malik. Malik and Holly have a falling out over the oasis that has Holly packing her things and heading home. When Malik looks over the plans Holly had drawn up for the redevelopment, he realizes he misjudged Holly. Will Holly get on a plane and leave Malik? Can Malik convince Holly to stay with him in Qadir? Can Holly forgive Malik for the way he treated her? Can Holly and Mailk find their happily ever after? Leslie North has written another great book. I really enjoyed The Sheikh’s Surprise Twins. I would recommend getting the Sheikh’s Surprise Twins by Leslie North. Great book with fantastic characters.
