Emily Baker is in a heap of trouble. Her beloved horse farm is struggling financially, and she’s just found out her late father sold her favorite horse to a sheikh from a country she’s never heard of. The buyer, Zaman Abdul-Rahman is sexy as all get-out, the sort of man who makes a fling with a sheikh seem like a good idea. But Emily isn’t looking for romance, and certainly not with the … overbearing alpha male who shows up to take away her beloved and pregnant horse, Riah. Emily refuses to let him until Zaman makes her a generous offer: he’s taking Riah, but he’ll also buy another horse and bring Emily to Qadir for six months to train it for an important race. Despite her hesitation, Emily knows the influx of cash will be enough to save the farm. Before she knows it, she’s traveling to the tiny kingdom and being seduced, not only by this beautiful foreign land but by Zaman, who’s just too gorgeous to resist.
Zaman isn’t the sort of man to fall for a woman, especially one with such a fierce streak of independence. But he can’t help being wildly attracted to the beautiful American, and he secretly admires her strength and intelligence. Emily will only be in Qadir for six months, so what’s the problem with giving into their searing passion for a short fling? After all, he’s an expert at not growing too attached to anyone. This time, though, things are different. Emily is different. Maddeningly hard-headed. Thoroughly lovely. And…pregnant with his child.
At the news, Zaman’s world shifts dramatically. His protective instincts kick into high gear—and end up pushing Emily away. It soon becomes clear, though, that the only race he wants to win is the one for Emily’s heart…

Sexy, fun, action packed and heart racing adventure filled with interesting charters, new experiences, witty dialog, heart racing twists and emotionally thrilling passion. Was excellent reading from beginning to end.
These two have a immediate connection, but with all that’s happened, she’s a bit standoffish to begin with. His arrogant bossiness puts her off, especially when he starts dictating what she’s going to do. That stubborn attitude is what makes him realize his errors and start to rethink things. I love this couple, especially their mutual love for the horses.

This is the third and final book in this series, it is a standalone romance. The storyline is sweet and emotional, the characters are incredibly likable and relatable. Loved this book and the series.
A fantastic book three in the Qadir Sheikhs series! It is well written, well developed, engaging, and consistent. There are twists and turns, intrigue, and ups and downs that will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you wanting more. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is off the charts. Definitely recommended!

A Kentucky horse breeder and trainer falls in love with a sheikh of the desert.
When Emily’s dad sold her mare while he was battling dementia, she finds out after he has died. The money was taken and she can’t undo the sale. But Raman, a sheikh of Qadir wants the mare for a race, the horse is pregnant and won’t be able to race for several years. Instead Raman offers Emily and her sister more money for the mare, a stallion and Emily’s help training the stallion to win the endurance race. It doesn’t take Emily and Raman long once in Qadir to start a romance. But Emily can’t stay more than 6 months. She has to go back and help her sister with their horse farm. Possibly Raman, the horses, and Qadir will change her mind. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Leslie North has delivered another enthralling read with the third and final instalment of the Qadir Sheikhs. The Sheikhs Stubborn Employee has an entertaining storyline that is jam-packed with the expected drama, intrigue and angst that is always front and centre of any of North’s works. Add in some unexpected events and the fragility of the heart, and you have a suspense filled plot with high emotions and sizzling chemistry too. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and will be eagerly await more exciting reads from Ms North.
ONE INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE!!!
The race is on! Leslie doesn’t miss a beat delivering this amazing approach to this enthralling storyline and engaging plot, welding this gem together sleek, shiny and tight. Toss in drama, intrigue, mounting suspense and unexpected situations along with a boatload of trouble while dodging heartache, you have one mind-blowing masterpiece. Satisfaction rocks this jewel, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, riding roughshod and delivering one block busting delight. The dynamics and presentation in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. The high octane attraction and chemistry sizzles, alluring and mesmerizing, binding them to one another beautifully. The realism and authenticity of the characters as their on point personalities blend and connect along with the graphically detailed scenes that really pull this baby together smoothly. Fantastic job Leslie, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
An amazing conclusion
Emily, a horse trainer, is contracted to help Zaman, the middle prince, to help train two of the horses he purchased from the farm she owns with her sister. As the story progresses tensions run high, a slow thawing occurs, and without listening there can be no further progress or wins. Leslie North’s The Sheikh’s Stubborn Employee is an amazing conclusion to her Qadir Sheikhs series. I would still love to see Amina get a story of her own, maybe as a follow-up to the series a few years down the road.

Emily may be just the right woman for Zaman
Leslie’s sheikh books are my all time favorite and Emily and Zaman’s story was heartwarming with the added struggle of finding their happily ever after. Zaman steps in to offer a new deal to Emily, but will Zaman’s assumptions when circumstances change ruin their connection? Add in training for a 3 day horse race to keep you turning the pages to see how it all ends!
Pregnant horse, pregnant human.
I liked Emily and intensely disliked that her father sold her pregnant horse without her knowledge or approval. It wasn’t his horse to sell. Riah belongs to Emily. And the sale isn’t legal as he had dementia so that voids that. Over a bet Zaman lost.
Zaman shows up to take her horse away for the bet he lost.
He still takes her horse, another horse to race and Emily.
You should never travel a horse that far along in a pregnancy on a long plane ride to a new climate.
What I liked? Emily. She’s the horse whisperer and the Zaman whisperer.
While Zaman was fine, he tries to control Emily and her pregnancy and shows a huge lack of communication skills.
Spoiler alert:
Also, he should have given her her horse back ( that he never should have taken in the first place). He still keeps her horse in the new contact. Major faux pas.
4.5
Emily and Charlotte’s farm is in financial trouble. Their father died, and sold Emily’s horse to Sheikh Zaman. Riah is Emily’s connection to her deceased mother. The Sheikh offers a compromise, which will help to ease their financial burdens, but has Emily heading to Yoman to train two horses. She never counted on falling in love with the sexy-as-sin Sheikh, or getting pregnant with his baby. These two are sizzling hot – no slow burn for them. The book is easy to read, with a story line that held my interest without too much drama. This is a great ending to this series, and I think that this is probably my favorite of the three books.

I liked that Zaman and Emily meet over the accidental sale of her horse. I also liked that Emily was a horse trainer and Zaman wants her to help train for him. This was a good read about the relationship developing between Zaman and Emily.

The Sheikh’s Stubborn Employee
Emily Baker’s horse, Riah, is sold by her late father to Sheikh Zaman Abdul-Rahman as a racing horse. One problem, Riah is pregnant. Emily and her sister, Charlotte, offer Zaman a stallion, Majalun, instead of Riah. Zaman ups the purchase price for the mare, the stallion, Majalun, and Emily’s services to train Majalun for racing. He even offers to let the foal return to the States when the foal is ready to travel. Charlotte accepts.
Emily intrigues Zaman. He wants her to come back to his country badly. Read the book and find out what happens next.

When Zaman shows up to the horse farm, Emily doesn’t believe why he is there. Only to find out that her horse has been sold prior to her father’s death, Zaman is there to take Riah back to Qadir as she has been purchased for the endurance race. Emily just can’t believe that her father sold Riah, and unbeknownst to Zaman, Riah is pregnant, but the paper work is in order. She proposes to sell another horse in place of Riah for the race and she comes up with another option. Not only does he purchase the other horse, the only way Emily will agree for Zaman to take Riah is that she be hired for six months to train the other horse and then once Riah delivers her colt, then Emily will bring the colt home.
Once back in Qadir, Emily and Zaman grow closer together and she finds out she is pregnant. Zaman makes the mistake in trying to control Emily and realizes that he loves her and does what he needs to in order to make up for his mistake. While apart, Emily also realized she loves Zaman.

Leslie North has written a 5-star book that is about Emily and Zaman. Emily was talking to her horse Riah and thinking about what to do with the farm and how to keep it running. Her father had made some bad business deals and then he got sick and passed away. Now Emily and her sister Charlotte are doing the best they can. There is a man’s voice behind her that said “What a beautiful horse”. Emily turns around to find out who the man is and she finds out that it is Sheikh Zaman Abd’ul-Rahman of Qadir and he has come to pick up Riah. Emily’s dad had sold her without Emily’s knowledge. Zaman is set on getting Riah for a race and he won’t take no for an answer. Emily tells him that Riah won’t be doing any racing because she is pregnant and it will be at least 2 years before she can train for a race. Charlotte comes to see what is going on and she offers Zaman another horse instead of Riah. Zaman is set on getting Riah but he tells them he will give them 250,000.00 for Charlotte’s horse Majalum and if only Emily comes with him for 6 months to train him for the race. Emily ends up going with Zaman and once they land Emily takes care of the horses and this is where Zaman finds her. He takes her up to her suite and demands she has dinner with him. She tells him that with him acting that way it will never happen. There is an attraction for both of them, but Emily knows she can’t do anything about it because she is working for him now. When he asks her again to have dinner with him, she tells him he is getting closer to her to do it but not there yet. Zaman finally gets it right and sets up dinner for 7 that night. When she gets there their attraction is to hard to fight and they end up sleeping together. After the first time, they end up spending their nights together. Emily starts feeling tired all the time and one day Zaman is watching her put Majalum through his training and she jumps down and gets sick. Zaman goes to her and picks her up and takes her to his suite and calls the doctor to have Emily checked out. After the doctor checks her out Emily is told she is pregnant and tells the doctor to tell Zaman. When he goes in to see Emily he seems happy about the baby. The next morning he tells Emily his plan for her and she gets really mad and tells him she needs some space. Every time they have any contact Emily treats him with icy politeness and it is getting to Zaman. Zaman put an end to this when he hears that Emily is going to be putting Majalum through the race trail run. He summons her to his suite and she comes in full of fire and tells him that he can’t summon her, she works with the horses and she is not his body man. He tells her, he asked her there to have a discussion that he did not think that she wanted the stable staff to hear. Zaman tells her that she is not taking Majalum on the trial run, he forbids it. She comes back with, she quits since he won’t let her do her job. He tells her it has nothing to do with her job, it is about him being afraid something will happen to her or the baby. She tells him that she is not going to be riding Majalum but driving an SUV and camping along the way. He doesn’t like the idea of just her going with a man and boy, so she asks him “who would be going with her?” He said he was. It takes him a while to get things sorted so he can go with her. Things go good for them until they come back and he speaks to his father and tells him he is going to asks her to marry him. He has a nice dinner planned and a plan for them. Things do not go well for him after he tells her of his plan. She tells him that if he thinks she is going to let me plan her life simply because she is pregnant then he hasn’t been paying attention or he does not care. She tells him, either way, they are done. She says goodnight and walks to her suite with Zaman behind her. When she gets to her suite, she shuts the door in his face. She can’t sleep and after a while, she decides to call her sister and tell her what is going on. Emily tells Charlotte that she thinks it time to come home and Charlotte tells her to sleep on it and not to make any move till morning. Charlotte gives Emily the good news about the farm and that by the next year their good name will be restored and everything would work out. The next morning Zaman is still upset over not being able to talk to Emily, so he goes to her suite and when he gets there her door is open. He walks in and he looks around and notices that her things are gone from the room. He asks the maid who comes in if she knows where Emily went and she said no. With the way she was feeling the night before, he thinks that she might have left and taken Riah with her. He runs to the stable and as he turns the corner he sees her with Majalum. He says “Emily” she turns around and said good morning Zaman. He asks her “where is all her stuff?” “What’s wrong?” She said that she had moved into the stable staff housing and from that moment on until Riah had her foal and it was able to travel it was all business between them and nothing more. All Zaman could say was “all right” This went on for a while until the night that Riah went into labor and Zaman got woke up in the middle of the night. As he watched Emily take charge he realized he made a mistake in saying she could not work with the horses. He made a plan to change things around for them.
Can Emily forgive Zaman for the way he has treated her or will she return to the States for good?
Can Zaman give Emily what she needs and wants or will he lose her?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend this book to anyone.

The Sheikhs Stubborn Employee is Sheikh Zaman Abdul-Rahman and Emily Baker’s story.
