As an ambitious American journalist, Amy Mathewson will stop at nothing to get her story—including going into dangerous, rebel-infested countries. But when she stumbles across seven-year-old Aisha in an orphanage her heart melts, and Amy vows to keep her safe. Until the rebels start to close in.Just when Amy thinks they’re in grave danger, a stunning Sheikh arrives, claiming Aisha as his … Aisha as his daughter; a Sheikh with smoldering dark eyes and the kind of handsome that is difficult to forget. Unwilling to let Aisha go with a stranger, Amy agrees to accompany the Sheikh and Aisha to a safe house to confirm his claim. But it may not be safe for Amy, not with a sexy Sheikh making her feel things she hasn’t felt in a long time—and whose touch is as hot as the desert sun.
All his life, Sheikh Bahir Karawi has taken care of himself, knowing no one else would. When he discovers he has a daughter, he immediately sets out to bring her home, to make sure she never feels as alone as he always has. What he doesn’t count on is butting heads with the fiercely protective and dangerously beautiful Amy, who has taken up the duties of caring for his daughter. As they get to know one another, he can’t ignore the searing attraction he feels, nor the realization that Amy would be perfect, both for his daughter and for him.
As the rebels close in, Bahir realizes he will do anything to keep his daughter and Amy safe—even if that means putting his very life at risk.

As this book opens Amy is chasing the little sprite named Aisha who is determined to see the shark exhibit at the aquarium which has been closed to the public due to visiting dignitaries. By the time Amy catches up with Aisha she has befriended the most handsome man Amy has EVER seen. And he seems to be enjoying the little girls enthusiasm about the sharks.
As Bahir sat in the office at his deceased uncle’s desk with his older brother Iman, King of Haamas, he discovered a secret which sent him into a mad search for the little girl he discovered was his daughter and now an orphan.
When Behir locates the orphan girl she is sick and being tended by Amy in a cottage separate from the main building that housed the children being cared for in order to prevent them from also getting sick if the child has something contagious. His main concern was to protect his newfound daughter from rebels that were determined to dethrone the Karawi family and he needed Amy to continue caring for the girl.
This book is filled with action, adventure, betrayal, kidnapping and lots of sexual tension between Amy and Sheikh Behir. As the kidnapping comes to an end Amy is seriously injured as she put herself between death and Aisha. This causes Behir to face his responsibility and do everything in his power to make sure Amy stays in Haamas and not just as a nanny to Aisha.
What can I say that will top the phrase, “This book ended with an HEA for all”

Bahir finds out he has a seven year old daughter. His uncle hid it from him. He finds her in an orphanage in the care of an American spitfire named Amy. She in his country trying to find herself. I enjoyed this book.
This is a quicker read but full of action and beautifully written. Bahri and Amy have this amazing chemistry. I loved their quick banter back and forth between each other. She is feisty and stubborn with a heart of gold. He is protective and kind with a fierceness that is felt throughout the story. It is an excellent read that is well written with beautifully developed characters. Not one to miss.

An enjoyable read of a father who finds the daughter he never knew he had. Upon finding her he also finds Amy, the American, who has vowed to herself to care for the child after finding her in an orphanage. Bahir is taking his daughter back to his home and wants Amy to come with to help ease the transition. A sweet story of a father finding his child and finding love in his life.

An outstanding 2nd book in the ‘The Karawi Sheikhs’ series and it is a fast pace page-turner! The well-developed storyline is emotionally deep, well written, action-packed, and relatable. There are twists and turns, humour, witty banter, and ups and downs that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Amazing and strong characters; their chemistry is undeniable and off the charts. Looking forward to reading the next book. Definitely recommended.

After the passing of their uncle, Bahir has taken to sitting at his desk in his brothers office. While being an annoying brother, Bahir notices something is off at the desk, it looks like there is a secret compartment. After opening the compartment he discovers letters written to him that were intercepted by his uncle. The letters are a shock to his system, a former lover, Amalia, wrote to him telling him that she was expecting his baby. She was alone as her family disowned her for the disgrace she caused the family. How could his uncle have kept this from him, then he thought about what his uncle had done to Iman and Natalie. A last letter was from a relative of his Amalia stating that his child had to be put in an orphanage due to Amalia’s death. The child’s name could not be read due to a smudge in the letter, apparently from tears of sadness. Bahir sent out on a journey to find his daughter. Amy is a journalist volunteering at an orphanage who is there ti heal her shattered heart and to try and get a story to start her career. She has taken to a 7 year old girl Aisha, and when people start coming around looking for the girl, she goes into protection mode. When Sheikh shows up looking for the little girl, Amy, who has no idea who he is, gives his some information but not the info he needs.
This is the 2nd story in the Karawi series and each is stand alone

I really liked how Bahir found out about Aisha and how hard he worked to find her. Amy took sad things that happened to her and made her life better and those of all the children in the orphanage as a result. I also loved how protective Amy was. Bahir and Amy had great chemistry and their story was an excellent second story in the series.

Amy is an American journalist working at a orphanage in the small country of Haamas. Amy instantly falls in love with seven year old Aisha. Bahir is the brother of Sheikh Iman Karawi from book one. He finds out his uncle Sheikh Salah kept from him that one of his lovers was pregnant. When his uncle dies he and Iman find letters that the lover had wrote him. He goes looking for her in orphanages along the borders. He finds she is the young girl he had met at the aquarium a few months ago.Rebels who are not happy with the regime change since his father died and want to kidnap Aisha. Bahir talks Amy into coming to the palace to help Aisha adjust to her new life. This is a great book with HEA.

Sheikh Bahir Karawi had come home to attend his brother Iman’s wedding to an American and then decided to stay. His lying, deceitful Uncle Salah has now died. As Bahir sat tapping his fingers on his uncle’s desk, he discovered a secret compartment which contained letters addressed to him that he had never received. He discovered that he had a daughter whose mother had died, so she was sent to an orphanage. Bahir begins to search for his daughter, aware that rebellion is threatening and things could get dangerous. Unfortunately, the rebels also found out about Bahir’s daughter and they are looking for her as well!
Amy is a journalist who comes to the Middle East, to a small kingdom called Haamas. She ends up volunteering at the orphanage and becomes attached to a young girl named Aisha. She is very protective of Aisha and will keep her safe – even from the man who says she is his, but doesn’t know her name! The rebels had tracked the girl down to take her, but Amy wouldn’t give her up. Because Aisha appeared to be sick, Bahir took Amy with them and his daughter when he realized the rebels were nearby. Could Bahir protect them against the rebels? With the growing attraction between them, would they open their hearts for something more? Would they be willing to make their new family situation permanent with the daughter they both already loved?
Great story that I loved from beginning to end. There is plenty of excitement, danger, and emotion in this book. The story line was really good, especially as we already saw how dishonest Uncle Salah was with his nephews. Here is another life he almost ruined! The reader will love the characters and will cheer for them as they do their best for Aisha. Definitely recommend this one – it’s a keeper!
The Sheikh’s Secret Child is the second book in Karawi Sheikhs series. Even thought this book is part of a series it can very well be read as a stand alone. I love how feisty Amy was during this book. Bahir was an alpha male but never went full on alpha in this book. I loved that is was focused more on Aisha. Great read.

Another really good Leslie North book. The 2nd in the series of the Sheikh brothers, this one was about Bahir who finds out he has a child and that she got left in an orphanage when her mother died. Again, the uncle (who is deceased) kept the information from him. Amy is an American who is trying to find herself and is helping in the orphanage while writing some articles for a magazine. Good book

Got me hooked once again. The storyline was great…just wish I didnt finish the book so quickly and that it lasted longer. Leslie North sure knows how to tell a story and leaves the reader feeling like they are there in the story . I recommend this book to those who love romance

Patchwork family
Amy is an American journalist helping at an orphanage in Haamas. She’s particularly attached to a seven year old girl, Aisha.
She meets Bahir, the middle sheikh two months earlier with his annoying bottle blonde companion.
Bahir has a daughter he didn’t know about and goes to fetch her from an area with unrest.
He procures Aisha and Amy and like an idiot tells Amy they are engaged with out asking her or talking to her. His previous choices in women are suspect at best. And he failed Amalia abysmally. Will he fail Any and Aisha again?

Amy and Bahri met under harsh conditions in the second book of the Karawi Sheikhs. The story is interesting and action packed and also includes love and steamy scenes. This author always has some of the most interesting and amazing characters whom are vividly portrayed. Excellent short read!

Compassion leaves one woman courting some serious trouble when a mysterious stranger enters her life. Amy and Bahir are a firework brought to life. Their chemistry ignites rather quickly and becomes an explosive romance. Both have a thirst for adventure that often leads them into danger. However, a secret child changes everything including the man and woman that love her. The Sheikh’s Secret Child is the beginning of a bond that impacts three lives and creates a family.
This book had charming main characters. Well, maybe Bahir wasn’t all that charming when someone steps between him and finding his daughter. That would be Amy who doesn’t realize at first that Aisha is his daughter. But she did go into protection mode fast because she loves that little girl. Although she would have gone there for any child needing protection.
Amy is tough on the outside, passionate and fierce and on the inside she is loyal and and loving. Some of those things that Bahir begins to realize.
The story does end up having a H.E.A. It was a fast reading story, with some danger, some Sheikh sex, some family moments. It looks like there may be more to the Sheikh’s youngest brother, Riyad. The rebels also have some surprise members in their ranks that made for a twist. There was one issue that didn’t even get addressed, which I thought at some point it would be. I don’t want to say too much though so I can avoid giving too much away.

Awesome book. This is about Sheikh Bahir, Amy and Aisha. This all starts in an orphanage that American Amy is volunteering in, so that she can write a story, but then falls in love with Aisha. The little girl was handful and loved having Amy run after her when possible. She was on a field trip and due to the prince in the same area a section was off limits, but that didn’t stop Aisha from running to it and having the Prince walk with her to see the reefs and all. The Prince in question is Bahir and he ends up finding out that his uncle had kept a secret from him which was that his relationship with someone outside their country had created a child. Now the uncle is dead but the letters he found were from years ago and now he is eager to find her at the orphanage that she was dropped off. Needless to say Amy is not fond of the prince at first and speaks to him like nothing, but he then remembers where he saw her and the story kicks off from there with some action and suspense.
