To Matek, a fierce and hardened warrior, love is a weakness. Since childhood, he’s been trained to be tough, fearless, and calculating. His life as a security specialist has no room for softness, and his heart certainly has no room for the sexy Nina Frank, his cousin’s nanny. But when she tells him she’s pregnant with his baby, his protective instincts go into overdrive, and his whole being … suddenly feels soft and exposed. He doesn’t like all this feeling stuff, but for some reason, his heart won’t listen to reason.
For Nina, finding herself pregnant was shocking enough. But discovering Matek is a prince is even worse. She thought he was just a security specialist and a distant cousin of her employer. Now, however, everyone is welcoming her into the royal family. There’s just one problem—Nina doesn’t want to be part of the royals. To her, their lives are suffocating and Matek’s obsession with security makes her feel like a prisoner. She longs for a normal, happy life with a man who adores her, and will give her the chance to create her own little family. Matek promises to be none of those things. Worse, Nina realizes she loves him. But she can’t help but wonder if he’ll ever allow his heart to see what he’s secretly been longing for all along…

This was a very good story. Nina had been dating Matek and did not know he was a prince of his country. She just thought he was the security guy. When she became pregnant, he proposed but it did not go smoothly. They went to his home country where he did not feel he belonged. With some time and Niina, he learned how to belong to his family again A very sweet story.

Nina knew she wasn’t suppose to have an affair with another member of the staff at the palace. She had not told Matek that she was pregnant with his child. He was leaving Hamari since his contract was up soon.
Their dinner came and she told him she could not eat the fish because she was pregnant. He couldn’t figure a solution as he was looking for the closet exit. They went back to the palace and he put her to sleep he still had more packing to do before he left. Matek was the cousin of the king
And her she was pregnant and didn’t know if they would let her keep her job now and would she be able to find another one. Nina and Matek went back to his country and she started to settle into the palace. Matek
was taking care of the security for the palace and staying further and further away from Nina. She basically felt like a prisoner until she could no stand it and needed to get away
Matek had been separated from his from his family as a young child by his grandfather and told he was to feel no emotion. He was going to be trained as a security specialist, so he needed to start honing his protection instincts. As a result, he started to feel that he did not fit in with his own family, so as an adult he took more and more security jobs away from his home country of Damarah. His last contract has been with his cousin King Kishon in Hamari. Matek’s contract was ending, and he was due home to take care of protection detail for his father, King Armon’s birthday. While in Hamari Matek had been seeing Sheikh Chakir’s nanny, Nina Frank. On his last night in Hamari, they went to dinner where she shockingly told him she was pregnant. From there his plans changed, and they both left for Damarah two days later with Nina being his fiancee. From the time they arrived in Damarah until the King’s birthday it a quite the learning curve for the both of them. Finally, Matek learned that his grandfather had been wrong in his treatment of Matek. He did deserve love. You will enjoy this book as Nina was no push over. She knows what she wants, and she will not be told by Matek what to do all the time. They both have a strong physical and emotional attraction to each other. I highly recommend this book.

Such a good story about learning to let go of your past fears in order to enjoy your present and future. Malek and Nina each have their own issues to overcome but Nina seems to be more willing when Malek is used to now having anyone around. The story is sweet with some steam and the rest of the characters also add to the story.

Nina was the nanny to prince Ryan and Matek was a security specialist for his cousin. They were seeing each other after work then she was pregnant. She found out that he was a sheikh, they got engaged and Nina went home with him. At first she was treated like an outsider but the children liked her then the women accepted her. But she still didn’t feel wanted of the hours the Matek worked she was feeling as alone as she did when she was growing up. But finally he realized that he loved Nina and wanted to stay with her and the baby and had to tell her. Everything worked out great for them!
The author has, again, pulled us into the lives of the characters and never lets go. Both Matek and Nina need to let go of their past and realize what is truly important.

Leslie North has written a 5-star book about the relationship between Nina and Matek. Nina was the nanny for the royal family of Hamari. She has been dating Matek for a few months and she knows it is frowned on. Matek was the cousin of the king’s son. Nina and Matek have gone out to dinner and when the waiter brings out the sushi, she tells him she can’t eat it. He asks “what was wrong?” she tells him she is pregnant. Matek is shocked by the news and he takes her back to the palace. Things move fast from then on. He asks her to marry him and she tells him, yes and they go to his home in Damarah. When they get to the palace the dinner that was supposed to be for him is almost over and his family is rude to Nina. Matek is in charge of the security for the birthday party at the palace and he feels it is not good enough so he puts a new system in. He leaves Nina alone and she is getting tired of it. Things are not going well for them. Nina has re-done the apartment and Matek has not seen it yet so she calls him to see if he can come home to see what she has done. He tells her that the system is not working right and he has to stay and check it out. He tells her that he will see it the next day. After all the work she has done she wants someone to see it so she calls Devra and invites her up to see it. Devra brings the family up, Matek gets a break from work and he goes to the apartment and when he walks in he sees his family all there but he feels like they don’t see him so he tells Nina he has to go back to work.
Will Nina ever be the first choice of Matek’s or will she always be an afterthought?
Will Matek realize that he may lose Nina if he keeps putting her second?

Matek and Nina had been seeing each other over the past few months and they thought that they were keeping it a secret. It wasn’t until earlier in the evening at their date that she told Matek that she was pregnant. At the celebration that evening to congratulate Matek for the end of his contract that both they found out they weren’t as secretive as they though and that Nina is pregnant.
With Matek returning to his home country to provide security for his fathers birthday celebration, he proposed to Nina and she accepted. Things were going well until his security duties became more of a priority for him and things became more distant between Matek and Nina.
When he was leaving for another job, and at the airport when a memory struck him, he realized he had let love into his life. Nina has also realized that she was in love with Matek. He realized what he needed to do to make it up to Nina and raise their child.

A fun story that kept me glued to the pages. Loved the characters and their journey together. Steamy chemistry between the characters. Just the right amount of drama to keep it exciting. A must read book.
