Sheikh Issam doesn’t have time to find a bride. He’d rather a sign would appear to him, signaling the perfect woman and save him the trouble of finding her. However, he didn’t foresee the sign being the sister-in-law of his rival nation’s president crashing into the holiest temple in his country. Now, he and the fearsome beauty must find a way to circumvent the ancient religious law that demands … demands her death—or he’ll face war on three fronts.
Mackenzie came to Al-Dashalid with a mission: save the women’s shelter that had taken root in a disputed fort between Al-Dashalid and her brother-in-law’s country. With war growing more likely every day, she doesn’t have time to waste arguing her way out of an unjust death sentence. She’s ready to sit down with Sheikh Issam and make sure he understands that the safety of the women and children in the shelter is more important than his alpha-male posturing.
What Mackenzie isn’t ready for is Issam offering her the perfect out: marriage. Members of the royal family are exempt from prosecution of holy law. He’ll meet his marriage deadline, and she’ll have his ear about the disputed fort and its vulnerable occupants. It seems perfect.
Now if only she could get him to listen…

Mackenzie is a force to be reckoned with
Leslie is one of my top ten authors and I especially love her sheikh stories. To avoid being hit by a car, Mackenzie steers her car into a column of the mosque. Issam rescues her from her car before the column falls, but can’t believe that the imam sentences her to death for damaging the mosque due to ancient religious law. To rescue Mackenzie, Issam offers to marry her for the political and military reasons and not for love. But will Issam help Mackenzie with her real reason for being in his country? Or will he let his job get in the way and lose Mackenzie? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down until you finish it in one sitting.
Mackenzie who is an attorney goes to Al-Dashalid on a mission to save a women’s shelter. She must convince Sheikh Issam and her brother-in-law the Sheikh of Al-Madiza not to tear down the ancient ford that is at the northeast border of Al-Dashalid. On her way to met Issam she crash her car into a holy temple. Punishment for the damage is death. The only way she can be saved is to marry Issam. Like his other two brothers he must be married before he is thirty. Mackenzie readily agrees to marriage if she can save the women’s shelter. She has problems getting Issam to listen to her. All he wants her to do is plan the wedding. The one thing they have no problems with is the steamy sex between them. Mackenzie finally get help with Sahr the florist for the wedding. Issam sister come to the aid of Mackenzie after she leaves the palace and goes to Sahr home. A loophole was found in both countries laws that settled the dispute. Enjoy the book, you won’t be disappointed in it.
I did get a little pissed in the beginning with the whole accident since it wasn’t her fault but then because of a law there country she is to be put to death. I realized after a few minutes that it was a book and I got a too excited, that should tell you how much I was into this like always.

Issam’s brother Kyril called him up to ask if he would go to the mosque and pick up his 5-year-old child Inan from his class. Although Issam was busy as well, his brother was even busier meeting with the Canadian ambassador in thirty minutes and did not have time to go himself. As he sat in his car, Issam pulled out his phone. Like his brothers, the males needed to be married by the age of thirty to keep their positions in the royal family. He wasn’t willing to settle for anyone, so he gathered a dossier on potential wives who met his criteria. He wanted a calm woman, but no love involved – he had responsibilities and wanted no distractions.
Inan walked out of the mosque just as a car ran the light, heading for a woman who tried to drive out of his way. Traffic was so thick that she had nowhere to move and headed right toward the mosque and Inan! She swerved to avoid all the children but hit part of the mosque. Issam saw it was about to collapse and ran to her to get her out of the car and grab Inan before they were crushed under the rubble. As a crowd congratulated him on the rescue, she recognized Sheikh Issam, the man she had come here to meet! She tried to talk to him, but things were still hectic. A man from the mosque approached them and told Issam that Ms. Peters, according to the ancient religious laws, must be put to death for damaging the mosque! Switching to their language, she told the man that those laws were bound by the nature of human life; the stone can be rebuilt, but the children would have died if she had not swerved into the column. She was sure he would relent – but he didn’t.
Bahir told Issam that Ms. Peters was an American that President Mulazim of Al-Madiza had sent to them as his representative for diplomatic negotiations. This would be a PR nightmare if they executed her! The law was real, but it had not been carried out for hundreds of years. Their legal team was researching their options. Issam went to watch Inan’s football game with Kyril and Hannah. He talked to Kyril about the only way to save Mackenzie – by marrying her. They would gain political and military advantages, and it would save her life because death sentences would not apply to members of the royal family. It would also solve his marriage requirement. He saw it as a business arrangement and nothing more, despite Kyril’s warning that she would have full royal rights and may not be as grateful as Issam imagines. It will take compromise and he should be aware of what she might want in return.
Issam had Mackenzie brought to him and told her the only way out was through marriage. She shocked him by being overjoyed at the news! He didn’t know she was a lawyer and had already come to that same conclusion. He had expected to do more convincing. They met with the imam at the mosque and they had 30 days to marry. She thanked Issam for saving her. Not only that, but she was getting exactly what she wanted: access and influence in the land dispute, and the power to do something about it. Issam’s imagined easy victory was about to cause a major upheaval in his life! How would he be able to manage his soon-to-be wife?
This was a fun story that I thoroughly enjoyed. As with all of this author’s books, it was well-written with a great story line and wonderful characters. Grab your copy – the fun is about to start!
Sheikh Issam plans on choosing his bride (before his thirtieth birthday) with cold hard facts. Unlike his two brothers who choose their one nighters. No one who could distract him from his responsibilities.
No one like Mackenzie. Who drove into a mosque to avoid a car that ran a red light and to avoid hitting any people.
But that damage puts her in a precarious place. She’s the sister in law to a neighboring ruler and she’s there to meet with him to speak on behalf of the women and children’s shelter.
And she’s taken into religious custody.
Issam’s Solution?
Marry him.

This romance was pretty steamy. I enjoyed reading it, even if I wanted to slap some sense into Issam’s head several times.

Sheikh Issam certainly wasn’ accustomed to strong, dominant personalities of women until he met the American Mackenzie. He had a lot to learn and she had to learn compromise. Good, strong characters with an interesting story. Good short read.

Another wonderful romantic trek through the desert by Leslie North.
The author has once again written a tale of love that grabs you right from the start and maintains its hold until the end. A very satisfying book with an extremely strong female character who maintains her determination and intelligence throughout.
Oh but I wish I could live in that palace, and you will too!

MacKenzie has plans to get the land between two countries where a fort is located and filled with woman and children protected from both countries. When she goes to meet with Sheikh Issam she is hit by another car and crashes into the mosque where Issam’s nephew goes to school and the law she is to be put to death of damaging the mosque. She goes to jail and Issam must come up with a way to get her out and the only way is to marry her which works for him because the law also states he must marry before he is thirty and he is running out of time. Can MacKenzie get Issam to protect the women and children in the fort and still find love in their marriage of convenience?

Issam didn’t want a romantic relationship, it’s too messy, then he meets Mackenzie. I enjoyed the story and the characters held my interest.
This was a great story for Issam. He needed someone strong and smart and who wouldn’t take his crap lol. Mackenzie is just what he needed, especially her being an American as well. He just didn’t see that coming. You could feel their chemistry through every page and the moment Issam let himself be vulnerable and let his feelings known, it was wonderful. I am a little disappointed that this is the last book in the series as I would have loved to see Adira’s story of love as well.

Oh what a fantastic story. I loved how this story ends and how well it is written. It just makes you fall in love with it. This has a great cast of characters and we get to visit with some from the other books in the series. We get to catch up with them and see how the are doing. I love that when authors do that because it adds so much to the story. This is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.

THE SHEIKHS FIERCE FIANCE ( Sheikhs of Al-Dashalid Book 3) By Leslie North
This is another great read by Leslie North and she brings us the story of Mackenzie and Issam. Issam is the 3rd brother in the series and is another that has to marry by the age of 30. They meet when he is picking up his nephew at the mosque, she is on her way to meet with Issam and she narrowly avoids an accident and hits a pillar of the holy temple which is punishable by death. Issam can save her if he marries her. This book has a solid story line, action, angst, and hot chemistry. Mackenzie and Issam are very likable characters.

The Sheikh’s Fierce Fiancee’ deserves a standing ovation. Mackenzie is a heroine to be proud of. She gives 100%, even at a high cost to her own well being. It’s a battle of the fierce and Isaam and Mackenzie are in it to win it. Even if it costs them their hearts. North proves herself to be more than a sensual writer. She shows she has a powerful voice and is not afraid to make her presence known.
The characters are interesting, well drawn and passionate. They come together out of necessity and along the way find love.
My free opinion. Thanks.

I found this book very entertaining and enjoyable. The overall plot had a charming blend of cute and serious. I liked both characters and thought they had good chemistry. I just loved how passionate Mackenzie was about what she felt was right and important. As much as I liked Issam, I also wish he had been more open minded, a shade less condescending in his actions and a much better listener, if for no other reason than that he truly cared about his people.
