In a desperate attempt to get out from her father’s control, Nora Williams agrees to marry a man she doesn’t love. But she’s shocked when her old friend, Sheikh Rashid, whom she hasn’t seen in years, begs her not to go through with it. Even more surprising? Rashid has a proposal. Literally. Nora should marry him instead. She had a secret crush on Rashid when they were younger, so the offer is … awfully enticing. But Rashid is the crown prince of Omirabad—how could she possibly fit in with his royal family? And will she be able to follow her calling for midwifery the way she wants—needs—to? Worse, Rashid’s proposal feels more like a business contract than a marriage proposal. Until they kiss, that is.
Rashid never had any illusion that his marriage would be one of passion. As a member of the royal family, he’s expected to marry before thirty and doesn’t have time to find a woman he actually loves. Until he hears of Nora’s predicament… He’d wanted to be more than friends when they were younger, but they’d never done more than exchange looks across a study table. Unfortunately, even with his proposal, he’s still only a friend to her. Their marriage of convenience, though, lasts about two hours before unraveling into a state of wedded bliss—at least for Rashid. What he doesn’t realize is how much Nora misses her midwifery work, or how very unhappy she’s become trapped in the palace. But the wife of a sheikh has no business working with his country’s poor or being reckless about her safety.
As the two slowly grow closer, they must reconcile Nora’s calling with Rashid’s responsibilities to his country. And discover if this marriage of theirs is real or just a terrible mistake.

A very quick yet highly entertaining, sexy, fun and engaging adventure filled with interesting charters, witty dialog, exciting location and undeniable passion…. a great read from beginning to end.
I liked that Rashid and Nora knew each other before and lost touch and now reconnect. When their marriage starts out as one of convenience I am glad they find out they have so much more.

Their marriage had a rocky start but their love was strong and pure.

Nora and Rashid had been friends during their school days, when they met again she had just broken her engagement to a man he despied. It was to be a marriage of convenience so Nora would be able to access her trust fund and start a clinic for pregnant women. Rashid needed to marry also for political reasons and suggested that they marry instead, but this time instead of the convenient marriage they had some thing more rewarding. Their marriage had a rocky start but their love was strong and pure. This was a rewarding romance to read, the characters well drawn and the storyline flowed smoothly.

Rashid & Nora’s marriage may have started as a marriage of convenience, but will it remain one
I’m a Leslie North fan as her stories always have a happily ever after! Nora and Rashid haven’t seen each other in years when they meet during his engagement party and two days before her wedding. Rashid tells Nora that she can’t marry Barron, her fiance, but until she catches her fiancé with another woman, she is adamant to get married to get away from her father and be closer to accessing her trust. The next morning when confronted by her ex at breakfast, Rashid offers to marry her due to his looming 30th birthday and an ancient law about being married by 30. What starts as a contract quickly becomes something more, until Rashid hampers Nora’s work. Will Rashid realize in time that he loves Nora? You have to read to find out and won’t put the book down until you turn the last page!
The Sheik’s Convenient Bride is the first book in the Omirabad Sheiks collection.
Sheikh Rashid and Nora have been friends who lost touch 10years later and the chemistry is still there. A romantic tale of having the chance to find out what could be. A Romantic Royal Book One in a New Series.
THE SHEIKH’S CONVENIENT BRIDE – The Omirabad Sheikhs Series, Book #1 By Leslie North. This is a new series and one that starts out with high marks from me. Nora is a smart woman who, at the last minute, backs out of her wedding after catching her intended with another woman even though this decision will cost her access to her trust fund. Luckily for her Crowned Prince Rashid, her long ago friend from school days, sees what went on and offers her a mutually beneficial arrangement. He needs to be married by thirty and she can get her trust. They marry.
The story follows what they didn’t realize quickly, their deep attraction, even love for each other and how they handle that. She wants to continue with her midwifery practices. The Prince wants her doing more royal, safe things. This causes a riff…big time. How will they resolve this? Other issues and people complicate matters which just add to the complexity and a good story.
The end gives us a peak at who will be the next brother to fall in love and probably with whom.
This is a good solid book one, so I’m definitely recommending it for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

Love this story! Nora is set to marry a man she doesn’t love to appease her father, and get access to her trust. Rashid is at his engagement party for an arranged marriage. He steps out for a moment is surprised to hear a voice from his past at University, one he could never forget. When sees her and realizes who she is supposed to marry he can’t help but go to her. Their unsaid feelings from University are still there and Rahsid makes her an offer she can’t refuse….marry him and both of them out. This is a fast paced love story that has the perfect amount of drama and passion.
Omirabad is a kingdom most haven’t heard of, but Nora is more than familiar after attending school with its Crown Prince, Rashid. While both have had a crush on the other, life gets in the way, and time marches on.
Fast forward years, and now both are faced with their respective upcoming marriages. What would be the chance of them holding their engagement parties at the same place & time? Perhaps fate? Laying eyes on one another again changes everything. I encourage all fans of amazingly designed romance to follow along as these two characters find their way together as well as their much deserved happily ever after.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced readers copy of The Sheikh’s Convenient Bride in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion.
I can not wait to see what is next. Could there be love in the air for Samir?
This is another classic Leslie North book. I seriously couldn’t put it down. Leslie has nailed this genre to the T and always has you coming back for more and this book seriously does that. Wow!! Can a watered down version lead to real
Rashid is engaged to marry Jazmin when he runs into Nora Williams, his good friend from school days. Nora has to marry a horrid man to gain access to her trust fund. Rashid offers himself instead and they marry.
But will his watered down version lead to a true marriage or will his preventing her from her midwife work end with her leaving him?
Can Rashid admit he’s in love?

Another entertaining book by Leslie North who once again brings strong, well developed characters in Nora and Rashid. She does a great job developing and moving the story , bringing drama and romance and taking them on a journey to their HEA. It’s well written, moves at a steady pace and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
A story of two people who come from different backgrounds who find love. She is a certified midwife and doula. She wants to open her own clinic to help women. She finds her fiance in a compromising situation. She runs into an old friend from school and they reconnect. Can two people with different cultures come together and make it work. I love that it is set against the deserts of the Middle East.
I enjoyed reading this. It’s very well written with the perfect blend of lust, tension, drama and of course love. His family is so sweet, well most of them are. He’s bossy as expected, she’s determined and independent. They have the chemistry but are insecure in the expectations of a marriage of convenience. Well the soon discover the meaning of marriage/compromise, lol. Their actions were realistically funny to me and their love warmed my heart. Leslie North knows how to write love stories about a Sheikhs and how one woman brings him to his knees with the knowledge that he is a better leader with her by his side and his love for her shows his tribe what a good husband he is .
This book was off the charts from the beginning through the Epilogue. Rashid knew he was in love with Nora from the minute he encountered her in a heated discussion with her finance’ but could not let himself admit it. He only knew that she deserved better than the man she was about to marry.
Rashid’s fiance knew they were not right for each other so she released him from the marriage contract knowing they both deserved to be happy with the person they truly loved.
Rashid made Nora an offer that would free her to do what she wanted once she had received her trust fund or at least that’s what he actually told himself he had in mind.
I loved seeing this romance bud and bloom into a passion filled marriage between two people that had actually been in love since school but each not ever thinking they would ever have the other. This is what fairy tale marriages are made of, always thinking and reminding yourself how lucky you are to have the other person.
The intimate moments between these two, while not really having a lot of steamy detail were so real you could almost feel the love and passion they shared. I highly recommend this book..it’s a definite 5 star read.
