In a desperate attempt to get out from her father’s control, Nora Williams agrees to marry a man she doesn’t love. But she’s shocked when her old friend, Sheikh Rashid, whom she hasn’t seen in years, begs her not to go through with it. Even more surprising? Rashid has a proposal. Literally. Nora should marry him instead. She had a secret crush on Rashid when they were younger, so the offer is … awfully enticing. But Rashid is the crown prince of Omirabad—how could she possibly fit in with his royal family? And will she be able to follow her calling for midwifery the way she wants—needs—to? Worse, Rashid’s proposal feels more like a business contract than a marriage proposal. Until they kiss, that is.
Rashid never had any illusion that his marriage would be one of passion. As a member of the royal family, he’s expected to marry before thirty and doesn’t have time to find a woman he actually loves. Until he hears of Nora’s predicament… He’d wanted to be more than friends when they were younger, but they’d never done more than exchange looks across a study table. Unfortunately, even with his proposal, he’s still only a friend to her. Their marriage of convenience, though, lasts about two hours before unraveling into a state of wedded bliss—at least for Rashid. What he doesn’t realize is how much Nora misses her midwifery work, or how very unhappy she’s become trapped in the palace. But the wife of a sheikh has no business working with his country’s poor or being reckless about her safety.
As the two slowly grow closer, they must reconcile Nora’s calling with Rashid’s responsibilities to his country. And discover if this marriage of theirs is real or just a terrible mistake.

A great feel good story.
I loved Noras tenacity and stubborness. I loved how she tried to compromise but the end had to be true to herself. I loved even more how Rashid started out clueless, but finally got some sense knocked into him.
Im ready for the next brother to fall.
Happy reading!

He and his fiancee agree it would be a mistake to marry. He gets Nora to agree to marry him. They care for each other but are they to different to make it work. I really enjoyed this book.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Nora was engaged to marry Barron even though she does not love him for a year so she will get her inheritance. Rashid the Sheikh has to marry before he is thirty he was to marry someone he does not love. Rashid and Nora and loved each other so Rashid proposed to Nora. He realizes he loves her when it is almost to late
When you encounter your high school crush who is about to marry the wrong person what do you do??? If you are Sheikh Rashid and she is Nora then you try to talk her out of it and then propose that she marry you instead. Such begins the story of Rashid and Nora when they encounter each other at a London hotel in the gardens after several years of not seeing each other for 10 years. Nora does not fall at Rashid’s feet that night but the next day morning, after she catches her finacee with another woman in his hotel room about to have breakfast (in more ways than one) she calls of the engagement and Rashid’s proposal seems like it will be a good idea as it gets her out of her controlling father’s way and will let her have access to her trust fund in one year. Rashid is also getting something out of this deal…………..a wife before he turns thirty so that he will be recognized by the tribes in his country as the next rightful King and ruler.
I really loved this story as once again Leslie has written a strong and feisty woman who is not willing to just be a plaything for a royal man. I also liked Rashid as he realized after an few clashes with Nora what she valued was important to her and thus would have to be important to him, which would then make him a better ruler for his country.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Both Rashid and Nora ended up cancelling their respective weddings to their fiancées. This led to if Rashid was not married by his 30th birthday he would lose his position in the kingdom and Nora’s plan to be married for a year to gain control of her trust fund to open her women’s health clinics.
Rashid asked her to marry him so that they could secure their roles and through the following weeks of their marriage, they overcame the issue when he did not want her practicing in the women’s clinic away from the palace and he realized that he was wrong, learning that understanding the needs of the people would make him a better leader and that love makes him a better person.

I enjoyed reading the story of Rashid and Nora. Nora’s passion for being a midwife was in conflict of her role as a royal family member. The plot is interesting and refreshing. Overall it’s a fantastic read.

This is a well-written emotional tale of friends who love one another but may not be able to live with each other’s duties/callings. The characters are written with human flaws and all, their emotions and duties could either pull them apart or together. They meet again when each of their worlds are falling apart, both engaged to others for all the wrong reasons, maybe they can help each other out. This emotional roller coaster of story is so well-told you feel you are with them and feel their troublesome emotions and troubles. When all is done, can she live with her choices or will she run…. Will he chase after her if she runs, and will he find out her secret. This HEA is a well earned one in the end

Nora needs to get married to gain access to her trust fund. Rashid was a childhood friend of hers and he shows up in the gardens on the night of her rehearsal dinner and his engagement party. He asks her not to go through with her wedding to the man she’s to marry and to marry him instead. She thinks he’s crazy until later that night when she catches her groom to be with another woman and calls off the wedding. Rashid shows up the next day and talks her into marrying him and she agrees even though she isn’t sure how she’ll fit into his royal life. When she wants to still be a midwife he fights her on it so they have some fights over that and when she learns that she’s pregnant she is at the clinic. However before she can even tell him her news he is taking her choices from her and giving her clinics at nicer placer to work at not what she really wants to do. Will he learn what his wife really wants before its too late? Can they make their marriage work coming from so different backgrounds?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Start of a new series about the Omiribad Sheikhs I love how Leslie always writes in threes as it gives more depth to the characters because even though the book is about a separate couple the world is covered by all three
This is Nora and Rashid’s story She was about to have a marriage of convenience just so she could get her trust fund so she could set up a clinic for unmarried mothers but it has fallen through. Then she reconnects with her childhood friend and he needs a marriage as well for political reasons so they decide to marry one another This time though there will be something between them Can these two learn to live together and to compromise You will have to read to see
When Rashid meets his school friend, when they are both about to get married, he tells her: Don’t marry him! He finds out that she has to get married to get her trust fund and offers himself. Nora does not know what is happening to her but accepts his proposal, not knowing what is changing for her. As the future king of his country, he cannot have his wife work in a women’s clinic. That would be too dangerous, anything can happen to her, and he stands firm. For Nora there is nothing else to leave, she can’t be told by Rashid …… but she can go. She loves him ….. and is pregnant …..
Another great story from the sleeve of Leslie North. I love her books

The Sheikh’s Convenient Bride is the first book in Leslie North’s The Omirabad Sheikh’s series. This is the story of Nora, who is marrying Barron until she finds him with another women, and Crown Prince Rashid of Omirabad, who proposes a marriage of convenience to his friend Nora since he has to marry by age thirty and was recently jilted by his fiancé with no time left to find another bride. Nora agrees to the marriage in order to get access to her trust fund, but has difficulty adjusting to the royal role and leaving behind her nurse midwife role. The marriage of convenience quickly deteriorates into something more for this couple. Leslie North has written an emotional and heartfelt story with plot twists from interfering secondarycharacters. I strongly recommend this wonderful book.

I love these Sheikh stories and Leslie know how to capture them. This is about Sheikh Rashid and Nora. They each knew each other from school, but lost touch, so when Rashid realizes that Nora is marrying someone that doesn’t deserve her, he tries to convince her to break it off, but she doesn’t listen. Because just as he has a reason to be engaged, she does too. She needs to be married in order to obtain her trust fund and he needs to be married by the age of 30. Of course, she then catches her fiancée with another woman and that does it for her, she calls off the wedding and by this time so has Rashid and his fiancée. He proposes a marriage of convenience, but there is no convenience in the matter of the heart and they soon realize that they don’t agree on everything. Could this marriage be more than what it started out as? This was a great read – I will not give out more of the story.

I’m never disappointed with Leslie’s books. Great, strong, well developed characters and fantastic story lines.
Nora wants to get away from her father’s control, enough that she’ll marry someone she doesn’t love. Then her old friend, Sheikh Rashid says Nora should marry him instead. As enticing as it sounds Nora thinks it’s more of a business deal for him since he’s a prince and has a duty to marry before he turns 30. Will she admit to him her crush on him? Will he admit to her he’s wanted to be more than friends since they were young? Will Nora get to fulfill her dreams of being a midwife if she’s married to a prince?

Nora and Rashid were friends at school who secretly loved each other and lost touch over the years. To get away from her controlling father, Nora has agreed to marry Barron, a man she doesn’t love, to gain access to her trust fund. As a member of the royal family, Rashid is expected to marry by his 30th birthday. When Rashid hears Nora arguing with Barron outside his engagement party, Rashid tells Nora she can’t marry him and that there are things she needs to know about Barron. Nora tells Rashid she has no choice but marry Barron and that he has no right to tell her who or who she may not marry. Rashid’s fiance demands to know why Rashid is so concerned about Nora when she finds them talking and decides to call off the wedding. When Nora catches Barron with another woman in his hotel room, Nora calls off the wedding. Rashid finds Nora in a coffee shop and tells her what he knows about Barron. Nora tells Rashid her wedding is off. Rashid proposes that he and Nora marry. Nora has always secretly loved Rashid and is tempted by Rashid’s offer of marriage. Can Nora marry Rashid and still have her dream of being a midwife? Will Rashid actions smother Nora? Can Rashid and Nora learn to compromise? Will Nora walk away from Rashid when she feels she is giving up everything she is and needs to be? Will Rashid change before he loses Nora forever? Will Nora tell Rashid her secret? Will Nora and Rashid finally admit they love each other and find their happily ever after? I really enjoyed The Shiekh’s Convenient Bride by Leslie North. The Shiekh’s Convenient Bride is a great story with amazing characters. I would definitely recommend getting The Shiekh’s Convenient Bride by Leslie North.
