In a desperate attempt to get out from her father’s control, Nora Williams agrees to marry a man she doesn’t love. But she’s shocked when her old friend, Sheikh Rashid, whom she hasn’t seen in years, begs her not to go through with it. Even more surprising? Rashid has a proposal. Literally. Nora should marry him instead. She had a secret crush on Rashid when they were younger, so the offer is … awfully enticing. But Rashid is the crown prince of Omirabad—how could she possibly fit in with his royal family? And will she be able to follow her calling for midwifery the way she wants—needs—to? Worse, Rashid’s proposal feels more like a business contract than a marriage proposal. Until they kiss, that is.
Rashid never had any illusion that his marriage would be one of passion. As a member of the royal family, he’s expected to marry before thirty and doesn’t have time to find a woman he actually loves. Until he hears of Nora’s predicament… He’d wanted to be more than friends when they were younger, but they’d never done more than exchange looks across a study table. Unfortunately, even with his proposal, he’s still only a friend to her. Their marriage of convenience, though, lasts about two hours before unraveling into a state of wedded bliss—at least for Rashid. What he doesn’t realize is how much Nora misses her midwifery work, or how very unhappy she’s become trapped in the palace. But the wife of a sheikh has no business working with his country’s poor or being reckless about her safety.
As the two slowly grow closer, they must reconcile Nora’s calling with Rashid’s responsibilities to his country. And discover if this marriage of theirs is real or just a terrible mistake.

To avoid being under her father’s tight control, Nora Williams agrees to marry a man she doesn’t love. Sheikh Rashid knows the man she agrees to marry and urges her to call it off because of his strong feelings that this is not a good match for her. Instead, he offers her a marriage of convenience with him, which she accepts. Each had a compelling reason to marry and stay in the marriage for a year. But there are other complications along the way.
Apparently the feelings they had back in school but never acted on heated up again, and the marriage became the real thing for both of them! But Nora’s dream is to work as a midwife, while Rashid feels his royal wife has no business working in that capacity, even if only because of the risk to her own safety. She absolutely does not want to give up her dream, and it makes for a stormy relationship. Will they be able to compromise on this issue? Or will it truly rip their marriage apart?
I love these stories the author writes. The story line is great, and the characters are stubbornly likable. Will either one of them recognize what is truly important here? They are otherwise so perfect for each other and actually already in love, even if they don’t realize it fully yet! How will they find out what really matters for their future?
I really enjoyed this book. This combination of friends to lovers, marriage of convenience and royal romance offers up plenty of emotional turmoil, tension and drama as Nora and Rashid’s story unfolds and their relationship evolves. I appreciated the genuiness of this love story. These two had real issues that needed to be worked through, attitudes that had to be adjusted and both had compromises that they had to make to strengthen their relationship and provide their marriage a strong, stable base to grow on.
The Sheikh’s Convenient Bride is the first story in Leslie North’s three book series on the Omirabad Sheikhs. Nora and Rashid’s story is a friends to lovers escape, which Ms North has shown that she writes extremely well. What starts out as a marriage of convenience, soon turns into a scorching, angst filled, yet genuine love story with all the expected drama, turmoil and family interference that comes from a union with royalty. I was engaged with the characters and their plight, and the storyline and world building kept me thoroughly entertained throughout the entire book. I look forward to the next instalment of these sexy sheikhs.
The story is well written with a fantastic flow to it. I loved the characters in the story and their personalities which were felt throughout the story. Rashid is your typical alpha male with all his protective traits. He is sweet and caring with a little single minded focus. Nora is a caring and intelligent lady with a fantastic spirit. Their chemistry was strong and felt throughout the story as well. It is definitely worth reading

The great character and the well written storyline captured my attention from the very beginning and kept my continued interest as each and every page was turned!
Rashid is celebrating his engagement – a marriage of convenience to someone he cares about, but will never love. Jazmin calls off the engagement when she sees him talking to Nora. No harm – Jazmin is in love with someone else. Nora is getting married in two days – a marriage of convenience so someone she doesn’t really like, let alone love. When she finds him with another woman the day before the wedding, she calls it off. Rashid needs to be married before he turns 30, according to tradition. Nora needs to be married for a year in order to access her trust fund. And marriage of convenience to replace the two that have been called off. The difference with this one is that they’re both halfway to love, even if they’re not ready or willing to admit it. I’m completely in love with this book, and excited for this new series. These two are so perfect for each other; it just took them a while to realize it.

Sheikh Rashid and his marriage to Nora begins our adventure into the lives of the Omirabad sheikhs in The Sheikhs Convenient Bride. Rashid was at his engagement party and Nora her rehearsal dinner when the two of them meet up after no seeing each other since school. Neither of them is happy with their current situations! Rashid needs to marry before turning 30 to be recognized by the tribal people in his country. Nora is in a miserable life at home and wants access to her trust fund and practice being a midwife. Their solution a marriage of convenience. Both will get what they want but will they be happy! Nora finds her days as Rashid wife busy but not fulfilling! She is worried that she won’t be able to live up to the expectations that palace life require and she misses being a midwife. It is great watching the two of them deal with their new situation and find love!
I loved the storyline in this book. Each of the characters is well developed and engaging with loads of chemistry. The storline flowed easily from beginning to the end.

Here is the first story in a trilogy of sheikhs in Omarabad. Of course we are introduced in part at least to the family it all evolves around. This story is just a beautiful romance all around. The storyline is good and the characters are actually both good and sweet, at least that is possible to say about the leading lady in the story. Overall I was really happy while reading except for the times that the wuss I am was in tears as there were a few moments in the story that were heartfelt. And this story is really well deserving of the four stars I am giving it here.

Nora Williams and Sheikh Rashid have a past. A “just friend’s” past. She ditches her wedding at the last minute. His fiancé ditches him at their engagement party. Should Nora and Rashid get married?
Both are reaching for their dreams. Can they compromise to have a happy ever after?
This story is part of a trilogy; however, each book is standalone. Some characters are reoccurring.

Leslie North has done it again with this intriguing, heartfelt 5-star book. It is about Nora and Rashid who were friends at school and have lost touch with each other. Rashid is a prince and he has to marry before he turns thirty. He is at his engagement party and goes out for a walk when he hears a woman say no to a man. two things happen, he knows the woman’s voice from somewhere and he knows the man’s name. He goes to help the woman and he can’t believe it is Nora. He finds out she is to marry Barron and he tells her that she can’t marry him. There are things about him that she needs to know. Nora said she had no choice but to marry him. Rashid’s fiancee comes out and finds him talking to Nora and wants to know why he is so concerned with her. They talk and Jazmin tells him that she doesn’t want to marry him and the wedding is off. The next morning as Nora is going for coffee she finds Barron in his room with another woman and she calls off the wedding. Rashid finds her in the cafe and he tells her more things about Barron and she tells him the wedding is off. He learns that she needs to be married for a year to get her inheritance and he needs to be married by the time he turns thirty. Rashid tells Nora that she could marry him.
Can Nora go through with marring Rashid and give up her dream of being a midwife?
Will Rashid become a better person and let Nora have her dream of being a midwife or will he lose her?
Will Nora and Rashid learn to compromise and have a happy life together?
This book has the main characters going through emotions that neither one has had to deal with before and it tells of how they get past everything to have the life they want.
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is another great story from Leslie North as always. She writes such great characters and they draw you into their lives. This is a sort of second chance for both Nora and Rashid who knew each other from school but both needed to be married. A chance meeting led them to a new understanding and marriage. A very good storyline and a superb happy ending makes this a very satisfying read. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is the first book in the Omirabad Sheiks series, it is a standalone story with no cliffhangers and a wonderful HEA.
Nora needs to get married to get out of her father’s control and learns the man he’s due to marry is an @ss and her childhood friend, Rashid aka Sheikh Rashid. He is in need of his own wife and soon they enter into a marriage of convenience. They have wonderful chemistry and soon the convenient marriage becomes real and real issues start to interfere in their wedded bliss.
