Who would have thought one little kiss would throw Maia Kurtz’s orderly world into complete chaos? It’s Christmas time in Maatkare, and it’s Maia’s job to make sure the Sheikh’s palace is decorated for all the holiday festivities in this tiny, Orthodox Christian kingdom. The decorating is the easy part. Yonas Yared, the youngest son of the family, is a bit more of a challenge. Maia knows she’s in … she’s in trouble when she sees how wonderful Yonas is with her young son, and how his seductive smiles cause her to go warm all over. Protecting her heart from the one man who makes her think naughty thoughts she shouldn’t is proving more difficult than she thought.
Yonas will go crazy if he’s forced to spend the entire, endless, holiday season with his family. He’d much rather be partying the nights away than stuck in the palace helping their new razor-tongued decorator. Still, Maia’s got something irresistible about her, and he certainly hadn’t planned on getting his socks knocked off by one simple kiss. As events transpire to keep him in the palace, he’s surprised to realize he’s glad to be home—and equally surprised to find that getting his serious little decorator into his bed is becoming more and more important. The problem is, once she’s there, he doesn’t want her to leave. And nothing in his life has ever scared him more.

Why oh Why is it that the heroine must be consumed with frantic and anxious internal dialogue. The book describes her as a lovesick fool. Why would an intelligent, talented decorator who moved half way around the world to take a risk on a job that moved her and her son. She must be a heck of lot better than a “fool”. And what is this running away when things get rough and jumping to conclusions without hearing the other persons point of view. How about being more realistic about the hero’s insecurities as well. It does not have to take away from their wonderful characters, I believe that it would strengthen their personalities. The intent for the story line was there but it lacked in the proper development of the characters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This brother fell hard and fast, unfortunately his past comes back to bite him. The emotions are heartfelt and watching him with her son is swoon worthy as well. I cannot wait to see what happens with the final brother!

I really enjoyed the second book in the series. Leslie stories are really putting me in the Christmas spirit. I loved Yonas and Maia as a couple. Yonas’s father the King has brought in 3 American women to work the parties and events while has wife is away. Maia is the decorator and he has assigned Yonas to help her. The attraction between the two is strong but Yonas doesn’t want to be home. Dealing with his family has always been to much. By him being the baby boy they still see him that way and he doesn’t like it. But now that he is helping Maia and being around her. He can’t seem to stay away. Once he meets her son and he is pull into the mix they begin to form this little family. Yonas find out that this family thing is for him. The love and protection that he feels for them is making him not want to leave. This is a heartwarming story, Yonas has a ready made family, he never knew that he could be a great father. Great job on the book and series. I think the King has done this on purpose. To funny.

It all started with a kiss.
Yonas is the youngest of the three royal brothers. He’s a careless playa always on the phone and he’s annoyed by the decorator.
Maia is a single, hardworking mom in the royal palace as the official decorator.
She has no time for the frivolous Yonas, though they both enjoyed the kiss.
Yonas has a lot of growing up to do and he’s a runner.
As they work together, they grow closer but can it last beyond the holiday season?

I really enjoyed this book. A fun plot unfolds under a Christmas theme. I liked the chemistry and emotional pull between Maia and Yonas. There is plenty of tension and emotional turmoil as these two fight their feelings. Drama, sweetness and heat are blended into a very pleasurable read.
Such a sweet book.

Yonas Yared wandered through the palace, not liking the garish decorations his father had insisted on for the party just held with the American embassy. He tugged on several and pulled them loose from where they were hanging as someone shouted and asked what he was doing. The woman didn’t appreciate his answer about the abhorrent decorations. Ah, this was the decorator his father had hired. Enjoying her anger, he continued to pull and tug at things while she threatened something or other.
Sheikh Yared had hired Maia to decorate the palace as well as keep an eye on his playboy youngest son! Now Yonas was trying to strike a bargain with her in return for not ruining more of her hard work. He wanted a kiss, that’s all. So she finally agreed, mostly out of curiosity – and the kiss blew her away! That is, until she heard a ripping sound and a huge section of plaster was ripped from the wall as he tore off another strand of lights! She yelled at him because he treated it like a big joke, then she angrily stormed off down the hall. Actually angry at herself for letting the kiss distract her and lower her guard like that!
The next morning, Yonas’ father phoned him to ask about the decorator’s complaint. As punishment, he was to personally oversee that the decorator’s tasks for the holidays were successfully completed. Instead of paying attention, he was reading his text messages while his father droned on, scolding him. He didn’t want to have to make the palace uglier with that decorator. But all his fun plans were cancelling and he had no other options. That kiss was nice though, so maybe he would try to coax another one! When he didn’t even know her name, Maia told him he was so entitled that he saw her as just the hired help, without a name, with no life, and not worth knowing. She turned down his help, but he asked for another chance. She watched his interaction with his teen twin sisters when they came to help; he was a good big brother and they obviously loved him.
Deciding he may want to spend time getting to know her and even her young son, Yonas begins to enjoy their company more and more. Maia, already attracted to the handsome Yonas, is concerned about her son getting so close to him and risking being hurt. Her worst fears come true when she catches Yonas with someone else, assuming he is back to his playboy ways. She’s not willing to put up with that. She says the most hateful things she can think of and leaves. He tried over and over to explain it was not what she thought – then he became indignant at her apparent “real” opinion of him. He would show her he still could be the playboy she thought he was – and he contacted one of his friends who had a big surprise for him. Had each of them committed more harm to the relationship than could be un-done?
This was a wonderful story of Sheikh Yared’s fun-loving, playful son who just may be growing up at last. It is a fun read, with delightful, humorous banter and strong characters who have what it takes to bring out the best in each other… eventually! The best part is the possibility of letting the magic of Christmas draw Yonas, Maia, and Julian together into a family full of love. Grab your copy and see if this wish comes true.
This is book two in this series about the Yared sheikh brothers. Here we get to know “the decorator” and all about her and the affairs of the youngest sheikh brothers. As in the previous story about Noel this one is also evolving around the same Christmas time. This story is just a tad better even than the first book and I liked that one as well very much. In this story we have totally different scenarios both as the brothers are wildly different, but also because the women are as well. As this is not the BLURB for the book I am not delivering anything about the book itself but just how I feel about the book and it is just smashing so I can really recommend it for an evening as it is not that long it should not stretch out more than a couple of hours or three. So a good book for a nice evening with a cup of coffe at hand and Christmas cookies.

The Sheikh’s Christmas Family is Book 2 of this trilogy. The youngest son, Yonas, is considered the playboy of the three brothers. He stumbles across the hired decorator, Maia who has a a toddler named Julian. She equates this Sheikh to a tootsie roll but gets into a fling with him anyway. Short term is what they both think. Where have we heard that before? Cute story with Lots of cute scenes with Julian.

This is one relationship that couldn’t have started off any rockier. Working for Sheikh Yared, Maia is given the job of the country’s official decorator over the holidays. She meets Yonas, a sarcastic, know-it-all, who turns out to be known as a royal playboy. Yet Yonas is intrigued by Maia and her fierceness. He finds himself becoming more and more wanting a deeper relationship especially after meeting Maia’s son, Julian. Misunderstandings abound yet Yonas discovers a deeper part of himself that he never knew was there. And Maia learns to open her heart to love.
