The Sheikh’s Baby Bargain
Evermore, Book 1
By: Clare Connelly
Narrated by: Meghan Kelly
Although married for a while, Rafiq and Chloe have not had your traditional loving relationship. Now Rafiq needs to have an heir, and Chloe bargains with Rafiq to get to know him better while they try for their baby. And their wonderfully romantic story begins. I love this, a little cultural, a little romance, a little controversy and oh so much passion. This is enemies to lovers at it’s best. Rafiq is the ultimate hero, with that cool exterior, and warm heart. He is a tough nut to crack, but has a real moral compass and sense of love. Chloe is selfless and loving. All we can do is root for these two to find their happiness, I fell in love with both of them.
Meghan Kelly’s narration of this had me from the start. She has a way of storytelling that brings out the characters true selves, and lets us really know them. I love her voices, and with this she had not only great male and female voices, but accents too!

The Sheikh’s Baby Bargain
Evermore, Book 1
By: Clare Connelly
Narrated by: Meghan Kelly
This is my first novel by Clare Connelly and it will not be my last. I enjoyed her writing style and the storylines and characters she created. They are interesting, realistic and relatable, I was completely engrossed in the story. Chloe and Raffa were married, the marriage was arranged by their fathers, mainly for political reasons. We enter the story at the point where they were married for a year but it was a marriage in name only, with Raffa’s father terminally ill, he is next in line to rule his country and he needs to line up an heir to secure his future and the future of the country, enemies may try to turnover his rule without doing so. Chloe was happy with the distant relationship they had and was not ready to consummate the marriage, but Raffa, the alpha male that he is gave her an ultimatum, so she abided. They may not have married out of love there is a great chemistry between them and they start to look forward to their physical meetings to make an heir. I loved how this story played out, from how both fought the feelings they started to feel for each other. Also liked how he saw that he needed to treat her bettering work on getting to know each other more. He was a hardened man, out on a mission to do his duty for the country, Chloe felt like she was just a means to an heir. Lots of drama and emotions in this story, including family drama and angst. I was impressed my Chloe’s strength to do the right thing for Raffa and the future of his country. I was vey happy with the way things turned out for them in the end. Clare Connelly thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Meghan Kelly is a fantastic narrator and voice performer. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She did an amazing job with the accents, I loved her portrayal of the Sheikh, gave Raffe a voice of not only an alpha male but one of a determined ruler. Also loved her take on Chloe, she allowed you to hear her strength. Great job on all other characters including Amit, the 12 year old son. Meghan Kelly is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to, thank you for another great listen
In this book we see very strong characters and their stubbornness that can cause more pain then needed. They eventually learn that communication is they key to their finding happiness. I really enjoyed this book with its writing flow and the narration is a perfect blend.
Audio Review: The Sheikh’s Baby Bargain (Evermore #1) by Clare Connelly (Author), Meghan Kelly (Narrator)
He needs an heir. She craves his love. Can a marriage built on rules and regulations survive the heartache of falling in love? For Rafiq and Chloe marriage does not a happy ending make. Caught in a trap of their own making, neither knows how to give in. When responsibility gives way to lust and lust blossoms into love, will the secrets they keep spell the end of everything they’d started to build? The Sheikh’s Baby Bargain was never meant to be a fairytale. Connelly delves deep into the soul to create a not always beautiful, totally unpredictable and beyond unforgettable, second chance romance. Turbulent love and tainted hearts becomes a courageous romance that never wants to let go.
This was an absolute delight to listen to.
I loved the story with all the angst, clever banter, and romance that was taking place between the two main characters whom I couldn’t help but grow fond of.
Both of them had their own problems and secrets which they tried to keep from each other and this caused further problems for them until they communicated about them.
I also really enjoyed Meghan Kelly’s narration. She always does such great voices and this definitely makes the audio version even more entertaining and a pleasure to listen to.
Great teamwork, ladies!
