Single-mother Hannah Fisher is fine just the way she is. She works hard, earns an honest wage and raises her son without any support. So when Prince Sheikh Chakir decides to “rescue” her from her rather un-royal life, she can’t help but challenge his every move. Prince Sheikh Chakir can’t believe how much he enjoys spending time with Hannah as he prepares her son for royal life. If only his … If only his elders didn’t disapprove of her. For things to work out between them, he needs her to be traditional, silent and proper: not independent, opinionated or quite so sexy…
But with the crown unconvinced of their compatibility and Hannah ready to pull away from her hot chemistry with the Prince, Sheikh has a serious decision to make: break a few rules or risk a broken heart.

The Sheikhs American Lover is the first book in North’s new sheikh series. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a sheikh series and this one starts with a bang! Hannah Fisher is a single mom who has been raising her son Ryan for five years with financial help from his father Tahir a royal in the Al-Shafer family. Tahir was killed and now Ryan’s cousin Prince Chakir has made an appearance and needes to persuade Hannah that Ryan needs to be brought up in the Middle East! Kishon is Chakir’s brother the reigning king! Ryan needs to take part in a Crowning ceremony due to his royal blood and needs to be trained! Hannah is a down to earth independent woman and Chakir follows the rules and never lets loose. Total opposites that are attracted to each other! This is a great book looking at the struggles facing a couple when tradition, rules and customs are important to one the other is questioning and doesn’t follow rules! When they back away from each other they both realize that they miss each other!
I thought that this was a very fun read. This opposites attract romance gives you plenty of feels as Hannah and Chakir’s relationship grows and love blooms. When Hannah an independent and spunky mom and Chakir who is all about tradition, duty and old world views are drawn together sparks are gonna fly and mistakes will be made. Can they overcome their differences? Drama, tension, emotions and romance combine with great characters to create a very enjoyable romance. This is my frank, freely posted review.
Loosening up Sheikh Chakir
The Sheikh’s American Lover (Sheikh’s of Hamari Book 1) by Leslie North is a well written quick read. Chakir and Hannah are an interesting couple with their opposing view points and methods of getting things done.
Hannah and Ryan, coming into Chakir’s life seems to be as life altering for him as it is for them. Between their differences, banter and chemistry, along with the plot – this book is engaging and absolutely held my attention beginning to end.
Overall, an interesting and fun read with a fairly quick resolution for the promised HEA for Chakir and Hannah as well as some love and excitement for Hamari’s King.
I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
Hannah learns that her son, Ryan, is the son of a prince. His father is dead and had not been in their lives for some years. She is working hard to make enough money to live in a run-down apartment. Then as she is fighting with her landlord over the rent, Chakir shows up at her door. Chakir is the cousin of Ryan’s father. And he tells her Ryan is royalty and needs to go to Hamari for a crowning ceremony since he is now royalty. Hannah has reservations about going to Hamari. And she feels they need to cut Ryan some slack as he tries to learn the rules. He is only five years old. Chakir is all for tradition and yet he finds himself questioning some of the traditions and rules. Can the two of them manage to help Ryan learn what he needs to for the ceremony? A sweet book with two people trying to do what is best for the young boy.

If Leslie North writes it, I will read it and here we are. Ultimately, I absolutely loved this story. It was unputdownable and so, so good. Once again Leslie North has created an amazing couple with fantastic chemistry and interaction. Overall, a fantastically entertaining, enjoyable read in true authors style that endears her characters to her readers every single time. If you’re looking for a swoon worthy romance, then look no further than Leslie North books as they have them in spades especially this one. Happy reading everyone!!
I really liked this story. It has the same elements as other Sheikh stories by Leslie but this one was slightly different in that Hannah’s son happens to also be royalty. What ensures is chaos, confusion and a whole new world for her. Chakir can’t help his attraction to her and the same is for her but they definitely come from different worlds. This is more clear with Chakir’s expectations of her not having opinions and it made me angry. However, everyone can change and he comes to realize that he does want her and her opinions. The story itself is sweet and sexy and I like the way Chakir grows.

Another great book by Leslie North who once again brings strong, well developed and likable characters and weaves a sweet love story. She brings Hannah and Chakir together when he arrives and tells her her son,Ryan , is a prince in his country,Hamair. It’s a Cinderella like story with the two falling in love along the way. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

Hannah had fallen on hard times when her son Ryan’s father died, and she no longer received any monetary help. The day her landlord told her she had to move out, Sheikh Chakir stepped in. He was her son’s cousin who, at that moment, told her Ryan was also a prince. Sheikh Chakir informed Hannah how important it was for him to attend the Crowning Ceremony. Sheikh Chakir, however, was one to see that the rules are carried out.
Hannah and Sheikh Chakir had chemistry from the instant they met. Although they did not want to accept it, they could not ignore the feelings any longer. Things were going well between them until Hannah began ignoring the commands. She was one who had a mind of her own and therefore played by her own rules. Sheikh Chakir, however, was one to see that the rules are carried out. He was conventional and didn’t live life on the edge.
Can these two come to a common ground? How will Ryan adjust to being a prince?
This story moved along nicely. I read this complimentary book willingly, and this review is my honest opinion.
Hannah is struggling to make ends meet when Sheikh Chakir comes to inform her that she has to relocate to Hamari with her 5 year old son. Life as she knew it would never be the same.
Great story. I loved the story line and the characters but there was not a lot of interaction between the main characters. There wasn’t any relationship development.

An Instant Welcomed Love –
Hannah’s life had been a struggle her whole life, which had made her strive to ensure she did everything as a single mother to make her son’s life easy. Chakir’s life was structured based on the traditions of his country, but Hannah and Ryan’s entrance into his life, really shook him to the core. Each turn of the page will allow you to feel the joy, laughter, confusion, pain and intense heat, felt by all the characters in this awesome story. By the end of this book, you will be looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Leslie North really does do sheikhs very very well. This is the first book in a new series The Sheikhs of Hamari. This is about Chakir who is all for tradition but when he meets Hannah Fisher, the mother of his dead cousins son, he is bowled over. A lovely romantic story but of course things do not run smoothly. Super strong characters and good conversation makes for a very enjoyable read. On to the next book now.

When Hannah’s landlord was confronting her about her rent, she didn’t expect someone to be there to handle the situation. Until Chakir told her who he was and why he was there. Once he told her that Ryan her son was a prince and Chakir was there to bring them back to Hamari, she was adamant that they were not leaving. It wasn’t until an issue with her landlord that she changed her mind.
Once in Hamari and Ryan began learning the process of the customs to be welcomed into the royal family, the rules that Chakir always followed began to be an issue with Hannah. She was able to slowly get Chakir to ease up on them.
Eventually the relaxing of the customs was noticed by the elders and Chakir was forced to be strict. This caused a rift between him and Hannah. Once the ceremony was over, she and Ryan moved to a separate wing of the palace. After this, and not seeing them each day, Chakir realized that he had fallen in love with Hannah. He realized he missed her and how she was able to get him to ease up on the strict customs and could work to change for the current times. She also had missed him and realized that she fell in love also. They were eventually able to find happiness together.

Tradition and Tribal Ceremonies Rule!
Single mom, Hannah Fisher, and her son, Ryan, are having a hard time since Tahir (the child’s father) has died, and she is no longer getting money.
Sheik Chakir Al-shafar, a second son, arrives to take Hannah and Ryan, a Prince of Hamari, to his country. Hanna challenges Chakir on every level. Can this royal prince get a 5-year-old American boy ready for a tribal crowning ceremony in a foreign land and language in just a few weeks?
Can the royal prince abandon protocol enough to learn to love a foreigner and her child?
A satisfying Sheikh ARC read.
Great characters who shared intense chemistry between them. Storyline was exciting and full of twists. Characters were likeable and relatable. Kept my interest from the first page to the last.
