What an amazing story, if it is true, then it explains so much. If it is just a story, then it is an amazing story. Papa sounds so much like my “Abba Father” that it makes me cry at the intensity of His perfect love.
I enjoy books that look at the spiritual side of life via a wider lens.
Wonderful Story!!!!
It was a book that makes you think about life and forgiveness.
Have read and reread this book. Its been converted into film and watched that more than once also. Its a keeper. About loss and accepting loss of a loved one.
Imaginative and deceptive for those pursuing truth and relationship with God. It gives the appearance of a biographical account when it is total fantasy.
Frankly, I did not care for this book.
This book touched my heart. I loved following the main character’s journey to finding himself again and accepting peace within himself after the tragedy. I have yet to read any of the related books, although I intend to someday. There were parts that gave me the chills and some parts that had me crying tears but overall I found it to be more an uplifting story of hope and forgiveness than just a sad tale to tell.
I’ve read it a few times. A fantastic book to read again and again
The Shack offers much more reasons to meditate on the word of God, and seriously consider the afterlife. Great read!
Although controversial within the Christian community this book presents relationship and fellowship between Father, Son and Holy Spirit and humanity brilliantly well.
I have read more than once and I don’t reread books.
Very thought provoking. Parts are difficult to read but the message is beautiful.
Wow! What an incredible read. Movie was good, book was even better.
Loved this book….everyone should read it
I recommend for those who have read what they have truly wanted to read. I read it when I found it at a place where I was staying. It had good comments attached but it was not one of my favorites
It is the best soul searching book I’ve ever read. Long to read another like it.
Inspirational
I listened to the audiobook – excellent
A great book with a different take on a tragic story. It’s not a direct interpretation of the Bible, so people, calm down and enjoy the fictional story!
