This book to me was phenominal…especially as a Christian. The story was well written and brought reflection. Just great and I look forward to seeing the movie to see if they did the book justice.
Excellent
A very different way to look at the trinity of God.
One of the best books I’ve ever read!
Great read! Shows how God is to each person exactly what they need in difficult situations.
Wonderful explanation of the trinity.
Deepens understanding of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit making them characters I can understand.
A thought provoking story that challenges us to move beyond a narrow, traditional way of understanding God. Smiles, tears, new awakenings and the promise of healing. A delightful book.
Wow…inspirational. spiritually captivating. Our church chose this book as a Sunday School read and discuss class. Well received by all.
I actually told my friends in 2016 that if God had to have another prophet or someone in the world it would be a black woman and they told me about The Shack. I was privileged to go to a CAC conference in Albuquerque on 4/6/17 and hear Paul Young speak. The movie is true to the book and both are powerful messages for the world. The message of love, relationship, and forgiveness is what this world needs.
This story put flesh on them GOD, Jesus & the Holy Spirit. Answers questions about the amazing 3n1. Gives clearer perspective to mans inhumanity to man and GODS’ position. HE is there in the joy, sorrow, laughter, tears and the unimaginable. HE is. HE was. HE will be.
My husband recommended this book to me years ago. When he told me the movie was coming out I had to read the book. WOW! Cried through many parts of it. Loved it.
This is a great book about the journey of healing for one man and his family due to a tragic loss. It is now coming out in a movie. With the vivid details of the book, I can’t wait to see how the movie produces these.
It was the most ‘moving’ book I’ve read. Starting it not knowing where exactly the book was going to take me, it didn’t take long before the journey was set. But still every corner it turned my heart was opened more and more. I soon felt like I was taking the journey… It mattered not who was ‘he or she’, it’s what was said, projected, the journey within the journey; the hurt, hate, pain, sorrow to care, compassion, embracing, and love… it’s one you can read over and over because you’d learn something new every time…
it was good
It was very interesting!
I was scared to start this book, I knew it had something to do with a child’s death and I just didn’t know what to expect. It was wonderful, so spiritual, I could not put it down. Has a surprise ending.
This book really made me think about the bible and my faith in a different way. Even if it is a work of fiction and doesn’t portray things exactly like the bible it is a great story with a great message. It took me several tries to really get into the book but was able to once I used the audio version. Would love to experience this deep of an immersion to fully deal with the struggles we face. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for something different with a deep desire to dive deeper into faith.
