Theologically incorrect. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!! IT IS MISLEADING!
I loved this book. It was one that I could not put down. An inspiration to everyone!
It simplifies and helps in understanding some of those difficult questions.
In such a hard world we live in, with daily news of tragedies caused by one human to another, this book delves in to the realm of where God is when tragedy befalls. He is right along with us.
Inspirational book with some questionable theological truths.
Great-story!
This is on my yearly re-read list because it is so good! Next to the Bible it is my favorite book ever!
such a misrepresentation of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Points for the writing style if i didn’t know how wrong it was I would have enjoyed it
One of my top 25 books of all time. Thought provoking.
Beyond expectations. The writer is very talented, gifted.
I know a lot of people loved this book, and I really wanted to. There were parts I like, and spiritual characters that I really thought were presented in a different and enjoyable light. I am Christian, and understand the intent of the book and how important forgiveness is, however I find it very hard to read a book where a child is a victim of a violent crime.
Absolutely loved this book. It teaches so much in this story. I cried throughout the book.
I actually didn’t like this book. It surprised me. I usually love inspirational stories. It was too pat and full of fantasy to be actually a work that glorified the Lord God.
The theme seemed plagiarized from A Christmas Carol. At least at least A Christmas Carol didn’t profess to be a Christian story. Just a story with a moral.
Sorry but, that’s my take on it.
Happy reading!
I liked this book for the most part. I loved how this is a good page-turner, the first 3 or 4 chapters are like, “This is boring. Is this going to get more entertaining?” But then, at about the middle of chapter 4, everything changes. Espeallly chapters 5 & 11. From there it’s a tearjerking, pagerturner that will have you reading for hours. However, there are some things I dislike about the book: there are some curse words. This bothers me, but it may not bother others. Another thing, I’m not sure if I fully agree with all of the authors religious views. It’s not the Christianity itself, but there are view points in the book I’m not sure if I agree with. And it’s hard to understand. The way it’s written is easy for the most part, but what they say is confusing.
SPOILER ALERT!
It does talk about blood and killing. This is not a “happy-rainbow-sunshine” book. People do die, in horrible ways. Do not read if you can’t take this kind of litterateur.
This was the best book I have ever read. Although it is controversial I thought it was excellent read and brought the Trinity to life.
The book was closely aligned with the movie. I also purchased the audible edition and I loved listening to it as I traveled between Dallas and Houston.
Third time reading this book
This book is one of the best books I have ever read. It gives you a glimpse of the love of God that is so easy to understand especially the Holy Spirit character and the way it impacts our daily lives. Beautifully written. I read it every time I begin to feel lost in this world of turmoil and hatred.
Fabulous! It brings to life the Trinity!
This book left me feeling loved. A wonderful warm love.
