Love it
This one of my all time favorites. When I am feeling distant from my Lord, many times I will pick this book up and read it again. What a picture of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit working together in unity. Love it!
I personally would not recommend this book. It conflicts with my Christian beliefs.
Wonderfully written and inspirational! Be aware that there are a few concepts in this book that some people may have trouble “buying”, but it’s worth it to open your mind just a bit!
This Book makes you think on what a wonderful God we have and the possibilities of how God can real himself. This book opens the spiritual eyes to see even through the tragic things in life God is there.
I enjoyed it, but it was very thought provoking. I reread some of the writing to make sure I was understanding the thoughts of the author. As a Christian, I had to compare the characters to the characters in the Bible to understand the meaning.
This book started out sad with the kidnapping of Sam’s youngest girl. This is a must read book. Whether you believe he was in a dream or this was reality to him. This book will keep you turning the pages. As he encounters Papa, Jesus and the holy spirit. How he learns true forgiveness.
One of the most interesting books I’ve ever read. Read it 4 times and saw the movie 3 times.
I did not like this book.
Very creative writing. The fictional story helps reader to better understand our God in a non-traditional way.
I read this book after my grandson died T 15 months of age. It helped me understand the randomness of death and that no one is alone when they pass. Someone is with them to lovingly help them pass. It helped reaffirm my faith in my God.
Best description of the Holy Trinity I’ve ever heard.
I liked it. A fantasy type mystery. It had meaning for me but might not be for everyone.
This is such a great book that I’ve read it about 10 times. There was a movie made but like most movies it didn’t do the book justice. Don’t misunderstand, the movie was really good in it’s own right and if you haven’t read the book then watch it before reading.
I LOVED THE SHACK. THE MOVIE WAS GOOD BUT THE BOOK WAS BETTER!!
One of the best books ever written. Well worth the read.
A story that really makes you think and teaches you a lesson of redemption and forgiveness when faced with a horrible tragedy.
it was a different way to look at the persons of the Trinity. very thought provoking.
A thought provoking book. (Enjoyed the movie as well)
The first few chapters are difficult to swallow as I am a dad who likes to go camping with my young children. The remainder of the book offers a fresh look on the intersection of faith and grief.
