Can a devastating injury actually be a blessing for Reese and Carly?Life has finally started to settle down for Sergeant Reese Sanders after his devastating injury overseas. Discharged from the Army and now with a good job at Courage Reins, an equine therapy center at Three Rivers Ranch, he’s finally found happiness. Then down-on-her luck Carly Watters becomes his veteran care coordinator and … veteran care coordinator and wants to assist him with tasks he most definitely doesn’t need her help with—until a horrific fall puts him right back where he was years ago: Injured and depressed.
Carly dislikes small towns almost as much as she loathes cowboys. But she finds herself faced with both when she gets assigned to Reese’s case. Because of his injury, she moves to Three Rivers to help him full-time, and her unhappiness follows her around like a dark cloud.
Reese will need to let go of his embarrassment and pride to allow Carly to help him—and love him. And Carly will have to admit that living in small-town Three Rivers is actually a blessing—because it led her to Reese. Do they have the humility and faith to make their relationship more than professional?more
I liked this book. Easy escape.
Explains some of the struggles our wounded warriors go through, their need for comradary and the effort they put forth to integrate back into society.
Inspiring story that provides insight to what our veterans feel and deal with every day. Very beautiful story!
Another great book by Liz.
I liked the plot and the theme that there is value in everyone. I do not usually expect to have so much of the physical attraction emphasized in a Christian romance novel. I found that a bit off-putting.
This book is well written, romantic and clean. Enjoyable, even if you know what the outcome will be.
A sweet romance you don’t have to fear reading lest it gets “steamy” and it portrays our military heroes realistically and sensitively.
The story was good but I listened to it on Audible and the narration ruined it. As a Texas native, the narrator sounded nothing like a Texas native and it was hard to look past it and get into the story as much.
Have enjoyed all the books in this series
I can’t find anything positive to say about this book. I have read several in this series and so I was looking forward to another great story. Sadly that didn’t happen. The characters were pitiful. There was no chemistry. I mean here she was a graduate with a master’s and looking for a job as a social worker. His “care coordinator” for an injured military veteran. She was clueless and so immature. I made myself read the entire story hoping that there would be something but that did not happen. Disappointing is the one word I would use to describe this book.
