Tara Babcock awakes the morning after her 30th birthday with a hangover that could kill an elephant – and the knowledge she is still no closer to achieving closure on her marriage breakup. Things go from bad to worse when she discovers that, not only is her ex-husband engaged to her cousin – Tash, the woman he left her for – but that Jake is also running for Lord Mayor of Sydney.
Desperate to leave the destructive relationship behind and with nothing to lose, she decides – with encouragement from her three best friends – to follow the dubious advice from a magazine article, Closure in Seven Easy Steps.
The Seven Steps to Closure follows Tara on her sometimes disastrous – always hilarious – path to achieve the seemingly impossible.
A credible and amazingly touching debut novel from Donna Joy Usher, this is a solid, light-hearted and honest read with plenty of laughs.
“The Seven Steps to Closure’s heroine, Tara, is an endearing character and her entertaining journey to closure is packed with laughs and plenty of heart.” Tonya Plank, Shirley You Jest! Book Awards judge and author of ‘Swallow’.

This tale is filled with humor, which I love in any romance book I read… otherwise it gets too typical and boring. The characters are well thought out and you get to know each of the friend’s personalities pretty well. Our heroine is getting over her husband leaving her for her cousin… and to help her get “closure”, her gfs think it is a great …
I thought it was really funny
A bit long and rambling, and pretty predictable. Some chapters way to long.
Funny, quirky happily ever after
the author did a nice job of helping you figure out the characters and their issues
Loved it, as I already posted on Amazon!
I loved this book not going to tie you up on knots remembering who is who, but you will see maybe you, a friend in this relationship that ties you up
Fun, witty, quick read. Left me with a smile
Like the book. Be aware the characters drink what I consider to be an excess of wine. The main jerk, shall we call him that, is a gas lighter. She is in recovery after finally seeing him for what he is.
i thoroughly enjoyed this book – found it laugh out loud funny and a fun storyline
. N m. M..
Made me laugh, sometimes in empathy!
did not like anything about this book.
Another fun light romance with a cute cast of characters. Good to pick up and put down as needed.
Really enjoyed this book! Romantic without being too sappy or predictable,
Great book. I like to read while riding the stationary bike at the gym to pass the time. I would many times go even longer so I could keep reading. In addition, I read at restaurants while dining alone.
What a fun read.
Amusing
An easy read on a cold Winter’s day
This was a fun read. Happy ending!
