A modern fairy tale where Cinders works in an office, Prince Charming is married, the fairy godmother’s a criminal and the wicked stepmother has nothing on a manipulative Hollywood actress fighting a divorce. When hard-working office temp and part-time barmaid Casey Jonson attends a party hosted by billionaire Jake Leinster, little does she realize the irresistibly attractive stranger she hooks … she hooks up with is the man himself.
But Casey has no idea that Jake’s soon-to-be-ex-wife, Hollywood actress Elena Elska, is using her as an unwitting pawn in a scheme to extract more than the pre-nuptial agreement from her billionaire husband and, unforeseen by Elena, Jake and Casey fall for each other.
Elena uses the paparazzi to further her agenda, and Casey and Jake’s all-too-brief moment of wild abandon lights up social media. Over the following days, hounded by journalists, Casey becomes increasingly desperate as she loses her job and is forced to go on the run.
After Jake locates Casey, they spend time together, discovering if their attraction for each other is more than a moment of passion. Meanwhile, Elena changes her mind about the divorce and puts into play a plan to permanently eliminate her competition.
An entertaining, drama-packed love story that will have you rooting for the feisty Casey and praying for her HEA. Fans of Mhairi McFarlane, Kristin Higgins and Sophie Ranald will love with this fresh, funny retelling of the Cinderella story.

What do you do when your literal Prince Charming is married to a crazy woman & your whole life implodes literally moments after meeting him?
Casey has had a rough life from the very start, growing up in the foster care system never really having a family other than her two best friends Joey and Marnie. She is an office temp never really wanting to stay at one job for too long and working at the local pub to bring in extra money. One night while working at the pub she meets Ian. A handsome stranger who asks her out to dinner and deciding to take a chance she says yes. After one date and a sweet kiss on the cheek Ian asks her to go to a party at her boss’s house. Not just any party though, an extravagant event where she must be dressed to the nines. Ian buys her everything she will need from the dress, shoes and even a new clutch that will impress. Once arriving to the party Casey downs three glasses of Champagne to settler her nerves but when nature calls, she must find a toilet and trusting Ian he leads her upstairs to a bathroom without a line. As she is about to head back to the party Prince Charming walks in and that is when all hell breaks loose.
This book went places I had no idea it would go! The Serendipity Game is a whirlwind of romance, comedy, some serious thrilling moments and all the drama. Casey was quirky in the way I love because she seemed genuine in her feelings and you felt it when she was scared or when she nervous about what was to come. A story with beautiful scenery across Europe and let us not forget the handsome prince. A new take on a classic fairytale this story will have you in stitches one minute and almost crying the next. If you are looking for a fun story with all the bits and baubles, then this book is for you.
I am a sucker for any kind of accent in an Audiobook, so the narration was a win for me. This was my first audio with Monica Nash. She was able to do different accents for the different characters with subtle changes down to completely different ones. Honestly though, I am not the harshest critic when it comes to narration as long as the person’s voice isn’t super monotone.
The storyline was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters were so well developed with such great detail and depth that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book!

When your world explodes as Prince Charming walks into the room, what can you do???
Casey Jonson works in an office as a temp, and weekends at the local pup just trying to make ends meet. She is going to school to better herself but when you start from nowhere, there is nowhere to go but up!! Casey grew up in the system, having been abandoned. While there, she met two people that would be her forever family, Marnie, and Joey. Then one weekend, while she was working a handsome man, came in and by the end of the evening, she had agreed to go out on a date with him. Ian was a perfect gentleman, even to only giving her a chaste kiss on the cheek at the end of the date. When he called and bribed her with an expensive dress to attend a party at his bosses, she agreed.
After arriving at the party, her nerves were ready to explode, not being a drinker, but no other way to calm down, she downed a couple. Of course, the inevitable happened and they went straight through her. She told Ian that she needed to use the ladies’ room. Ian took her upstairs and showed her a door where she could have some privacy. As she was returning to the party, the door opened and in walked prince charming, she took one look at him and the nerves in her body tingled! Not knowing each other, they introduced and shook hands and that touch was all that it took… Wow, the world exploded and closed in on her. Of course, prince charming is married, and the wicked stepmother was so much nicer than the prince charming’s wife!!! Now, this is the beginning of the true nightmare that she was about to experience. Pick up your copy for the most amazing fairy tale love story.
What did I like? There is no doubt in my mind that what happened is the dream of every woman’s life. Prince charming walks in and your world will never be the same. Well, for Casey, that is what happened, but who would have known where that moment would lead her. I for one would have taken that leap and never looked back. LOL
What will you like? Exciting, romantic, funny, lots of drama and some downright hard facts of life! The characters are the most amazing and endearing. I loved the relationship that Marnie and Joey had with Casey. Not many people have experienced that kind of emotional help from friends. The drama is hard to read but it feels like the real thing… There are people in the world that have these same problems and most lead to the situation that Casey found herself in, if not worse. Amazing details and descriptions and of course the most incredible love story. Definitely, an awesome read that will capture you on the first page…

Casey has trust issues. She grew up in the foster care and children’s home system. She finally has her own flat, and two part time jobs to barely make ends meet. Then she accepts an invitation to a business party where her boyfriend wishes to impress is boss and insists on buying her a formal dress and having her hair and makeup done. Little does she know what the future holds in store, Serendipity is right. A fun read.
Teagan Kearney is one of my favorite urban fantasy romance authors but she occasionally forays out into contemporary romance and she clearly “has the chops” (a weird slang phrase for having great skill) for doing this. Her latest example of this, The Serendipity Game, definitely illustrates what I’m sayin’. This ebook is quite simply perfect, fun, Romantic Comedy at its best. I mean, c’mon, she had me laughing at the publisher’s blurb for this modern Cinderella tale (where Cinders works in an office, Prince Charming is married, the fairy godmother’s a criminal and the wicked stepmother has nothing on a manipulative Hollywood actress fighting a divorce). I was sucked right in and then addictively read this truly well written tale, with lots of giggles, through a big chunk of the night (several times waking my poor sweetie). Very highly recommended if you’re in the mood for well-crafted fun.
A well written story by an Author I have not read before, once I started reading I was not putting the book down. Office temp and part-time barmaid Casey Jonson meets billionaire Jake Leinster at a party he is hosting. They hit it off well but she does not know who he is when they meet. There is suspense, kidnapping, attempted murder, twists, turns danger, drama, a pending divorce, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the story of Casey and Jake. It’s quite the twist on the Cinderella story. It is entertaining as the evil soon to be ex-wife of Jake plots and plans for her own gains. I rooted for Casey the whole way through. I really enjoyed this one. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The storyline is good but there is a lot wrong with the characters. Jake is too perfect and it annoying. Casey is too insecure and naive specially for her backgrounds.

The book is a good romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable funny romance read.
