Step three: Randomly show up at her apartment and confess your love. Women love that, right?
It all seemed so simple. A fool-proof three step process that will guarantee the love of you life to fall madly in love with you.
At least–that’s what I thought was going to happen. But my attempts to win over Julia Westin backfired in more ways than I can count. The thing about Julia? She’s smart–really smart–and her wicked gaze cuts through all the charm I’ve tried slinging her way. She’s not interested in games, my gifts, or my stories. Bram , Rath and Roark stoke the show for me! Their friendship is refreshing and so genuine.
When they are all together, they made me laugh out loud so much- the bromance between Rath and Bram is everything!!

If you’re looking for a story that will make you LOL, shout and feel good, this one is for you
Oh my goodness, who doesn’t love a man with a plan?! I know I do and did I love this one sooooo much!! It was so fun and cute. I always love a good Meghan Quinn book. This one was all about love and getting the girl! Bram knew what he wanted and he fought hard to get it. He definitely waited a long time but the wait was worth it.
The book is told in the present with a couple chapters here and there set in the protagonists’ pasts.
Bram and Julie’s story is a fun and sweet one and even a tiny bit angsty. Bram is the sucessful sexy businessman who’s been pinning for his bestfriend’s sister for a decade and she’s the kind of girl who sees love has a scientific method, finds the perfect person for others but is afraid to let someone into her own heart. It sounds like an awesome read, doesn’t it?! Well, I can tell you for sure that it is! I really enjoyed it!
Even the side characters were superrr fun and I am so excited Roarke’s is getting his own book. Oh I just have this feeling that it’s going to be an even better one. #giveme I seriously cannot wait!
I have mixed feelings with this book. While it was entertaining and I LOVED the characters, it was a little bland for me. I didn’t feel a lot of passion, just a few good laughs, a lot of cute moments, and a few true heart speeches. I loved the plot about this guy who has everything going for him: intelligence, drive, ambition, looks and personality. He was on the road to success and he achieved it. Then we have this nerdy, shy, introverted and serious girl, whose sole mission is to get her doctorate and work on her project: a dating program with a high percent of success. They didn’t seem to match and yet they made a perfect couple.
Julia and Bram met in college and Bram was instantly taken with her. She was oblivious to him, totally involved in her studies. Since Bram was her big brother’s best friend, he was a constant presence in her life and a sorta friend. Bram always made sure to take time to chat with her but he knew that their time at college was not the right time for them, so he patiently waited for his chance. Ten years later, they both have their businesses set up, and Bram joined her dating program. His purpose was getting close, let her see him and know him. I loved the fact that a guy who has women pursue him had to actually pursue Julia and make her realize what they could be together. You could say this book was about the awakening of Julia because she was completely clueless with Bram. She could never see why such an outgoing, successful and gorgeous guy like Bram would be interested in shy, serious Julia.
There was a lot of conversation about Julia’s dating program and its questions, all of which I found rather silly. Personalities are based on colors and Bream was a “red”, not an easy color for matching, LOL. Nevertheless, the story was entertaining and their love story was heartwarming. Seeing Bram work at getting his girl, getting relationship advice from his friends and his personal assistant at work, seeing him tank with Julia, getting up and trying again was such an endearing part of this book. At times, Bram was a little arrogant, acting like a know-it-all and how he was always right, but when things got sticky, he was there, all concerned and thoughtful and as serious as Julia could be. I loved them as a couple and I loved the second part of the book, once the business about the dating program was done. It was lighthearted yet it was heartfelt and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a light and positive book.
Goodness! Could this story be any cuter? I absolutely love the way this is written. Bram is the best! I laughed out loud so many times reading this story. He is hilarious, sweet, caring, successful, and has a fantastic personality. And the lengths he goes to, to win Julia’s heart, will have you swooning. I loved the slow build of their relationship and watching it grow.
The characters in this story are so much fun. They all have their own quirks and will make you laugh and smile. I’d love a story for Roark.
A fun story filled with humor, many sweet moments, and great characters.
You. Guys. Bram. Ugh. Heart eyes. I’ve been thinking about this review for awhile now, and I strongly feel he’s probably my favorite male character that she has written. Ever. He’s funny, charming and I love the relationship he has with his friends. Don’t we all wish we had a bromance like that? But honestly the way he loves Julia and the way he’s loved her from afar for so long…ugh I’m melting. She knocked it out of the park (again). #Bramlovestubesocks

Ms. Quinn is the Queen of Rom-Com’s for me and she nailed it with this book! Bram and Julia are one of my number one book couples!!!! For me (being a nerd), TSTDYBFS spoke to my heart and my nerdy side! I think I’m going to go back and read it again, because, yeah….it was that AMAZING!!!!!
I have just added a new BBF to my harem….Bram Scott has taken the coveted spot at the very top!!!

5 resounding stars for this funny, warm, witty rom com of the best kind. I was captured from the outset by the knowing, cheeky voice of Bram addressing us as his audience, drawing us unerringly into his plans to woo and win Jules, his long term crush and sister of Rath, the titular best friend. I have just finished with a daft smile on my face knowing that, yet again, Meghan Quinn has written an absolute winner of a book, and the disturbing knowledge that I really want a Bram of my own. Stars, hearts and smiley faces abound!
What a fun sexy ride!
I haven’t had as much fun reading a book as I did while reading The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister in a long time. Seriously, I was smiling and swooning nonstop! Bram just might be one of my favorite heroes ever! He was such a good time and such a great guy! Is it weird that I wanted to pinch his cheeks like a baby because he’s so damn adorable, yet at the same time jump his bones because holy ish he’s hot as hell and knows how to please a woman?! Swoons for days! And Julia was such a nerdy, sexy sweetheart! Their friendship and banter before and after their relationship blossomed was amazing! Their chemistry…lip biting-ly delicious! Oh my, and the other characters? Rath as the loving older brother and Rath as the true lifelong bromate of Bram was hysterical and perfect! And drunken Roark with his advice? Hilarious! 5 shining stars for this funny, sexy, sweet and smart romance!
f I ever doubted this author and her ability to write before I sure don’t now. Not that I ever really did. Yet, I keep thinking to myself she cannot stay perfect but after this book, she might have elevated to that status. She took it to a whole new level with this story. There was still the humor, and feisty females, and chemistry to knock my socks off in addition to another AMAZING cover. However, there was something new to this book. There was a vulnerability in it with both characters. even amidst the humor and funny snarky undertones it was there.
I think that is why I adored Bram the way that I did. He wasn’t alpha (sure he was confident but not in a smug way), nor did he have a mouth so filthy that it would take a lifetime of soap to clean out. Instead, he was genuine and true. He was resolved in knowing that Julia, Jules to him, was the finish line. She was everything. I adored seeing him unabashed in going to any lengths to show him that. Julia, sweet lord this girl. I adored her and her quirky characteristics. Together they truly were the perfect match. I didn’t need certain colors to match them up to know this. They just clicked. I loved how they interacted with each other and tried to trick the other in confessing things to catch the other in a lie. This book isn’t on the steamy side and didn’t have it until much later in the book so keep that in mind if you are looking for something with a lot of sex. Sometimes the anticipation is much better than reading every other page of steam and that is true in this case.
There were so many humorous moments in the story. I won’t give spoilers but can I just say that I will always think of this author when I see or hear about a dragon? I was rolling. In true fashion, this author has woven her magical unicorn spell over me and I am enchanted. There is a reason she is my go-to RomCom author.
4.5 Stars
I love a good best friend’s sister story and boy was this a good one. I was hooked right from the beginning. Bram and Julia have so much chemistry .I loved how invested Bram was to get close to Julia. It shows how deep he is when it comes Julia. I really liked Julia’s brains and how her mind analyzes things. Bram brings a playful light side to Julia. There is one scene that really stayed with me when Bram took care of Julia. It’s very swoon worthy for me. This book packs the humor, heart, and heat that I love in books. This is one that I highly recommend.
Bram Scott has a crush on his best friend’s little sister since college and he is finally ready to make his move but convincing her may be an entirely different story!
Julia Westin has always been the smart brainy type who never attracted a man like Bram. She received a PhD in behavioral science and developed a very successful dating company. When Bram comes to her for help finding his perfect partner she is reluctant to help him out, knowing all about his past.
Yet soon Julia sees a different side to Bram but also learns so much more about him and his openness with sex. But as Bram gets closer to Julia he must convince her that he is truly in it for the long haul.
This was such a great book with so many laughs through it!
I loved Bram and knew from the beginning that he was serious about Julia but he definitely had his work cut out to convince her of the same thing. I loved his reaction to the questionnaire and I was shocked at the type of questions on there. When he called for help I knew that things would go astray! I loved how much he was able to talk to Julia about sex and how shocked she was about everything that was said.
Julia was interesting as she was so smart yet she was a bit of a loner and only really had one true friend. She was dedicated to her job and wanted to make it as successful as she could so she spent a lot of time there. She also seemed so shy and I loved every time she got flustered with Bram.
There was obviously so much chemistry between Bram and Julia but she was so hesitant due to his past and his reputation. I understood everything from her point of view but Bram was definitely convincing of his case!
I loved when Julia required Bram to confess to her something before going further and everything that came after that. It was such a great part of the story!
I loved the “BJ” necklace – laughing so hard!
I was a little mad at Julia at the end when she discovered some things about the test and how she reacted! Then I loved how Bram made everything ok!!
Such a great book and I can’t wait for more from the author!
My Review
Five stars!
I am convinced Meghan can do no wrong with her stories, she has become my go-to author. This was my first read of the new year, and WOW it was fantastic. I couldn’t stop smiling, and Bram was absolute perfection. He was smart, funny, sensitive, and oh so HOT. I loved how he pursued Julia and made it his mission to get the girl whether it was his best friends sister or not. He is a relentless businessman and just as relentless in his pursuit.
“I won’t run with my tail between my legs. This time I’ll stay close, Jules. Because there is no one else I want to be with. It’s you.”
I’m not going into the whole synopsis of the story, but basically, Bram (H) and Julia (h) have known each other since college. Julia is the introvert, and Bram is the extrovert, Julia never thought Bram would look at her twice, little did she know he’s pined for her forever.
“No, I would never want to replace the boy I first met. I just want to add layers to him.”
Julia set in her ways and always following her outline for life is thrown for a curve when crazy Bram enters her program, (not in her plan for life) she doesn’t know how to handle or “control” it.
I laughed out loud at Bram trying to go through the tests and program; the questions were so comical.
This friends to lovers romance was so much more than that. It really was a heartfelt story and let you see the insecurities in both the main characters. And as always Meghan’s side characters are just as amazing, I’m hoping we get stories about them.
The relationship between Bram and Rath (Julia’s brother) was so funny, but yet so sweet at the same time; they truly were brothers at heart.
I loved everything about this book and highly recommend making it your new year read!!

If you’re looking for a sweet, sexy romance than look no further. This is the book for you. Bram will seduce you, he’ll romance you, he’ll make you fall in love with him as he goes about wooing Julia and changing her opinion of him.
Bram has been best friends with Rath for years. These two share a bromance unlike any other I’ve seen. Their bond is unbreakable. Julia is Rath’s nerdy younger sister who’s oblivious to Brams true feelings towards her.
This book is a fun read. There is nothing Bram wouldn’t so for Julia and he really is the sweetest guy (all while keeping that sexy aura that he has) and I couldn’t get enough of their story.
This was a cute book and I liked that they didn’t just jump into a relationship but Bram worked for it. Bram has been in love with Julia for years but didn’t really want to admit because he was in fear of rejection, of course he ends a man-ho I still do not get why they all tend to but whatever, he is best friends with Rath who is Julia’s brother and they place a bet that one of them would have to go to Julia’s company to find love only the others do not know that Bram threw the bet he wanted to go to Julia but he wants to date her and no one else..Grab a copy it is funny and sweet and you root for the them the whole time..Enjoy
Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author..voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
I always enjoy Meghan Quinn’s romantic comedies – she crafts entertaining stories with quirky and unique characters whose hijinks, one-liners, and swoon worthy moments never fail to make me laugh and give me the feels. In Quinn’s newest release, The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister, the hero, Bram Scott, and the heroine, Julia Westin, couldn’t be more different, but I think that’s what
makes a relationship between them possible because even if they seem incompatible on paper and maybe even after Bram completes Julia’s dating program, the fact that they’ve secretly crushed on each other since their college days and that Bram is clearly ready to find love as long as it’s with Julia gives them more than a fighting chance.
But there are quite a few variables that Bram and Julia must contend with in order to get their happily ever after and one of the biggest issues is how Julia views the man who Bram is as well as who he was in college…oh, and the little issue of Bram being Julia’s brother’s best friend.
Bram is definitely an interesting hero. I love the fact that he doesn’t take himself too seriously and while sometimes he’s a bit over-the-top, he does him regardless of the situation, which illustrates just how secure he is with himself; in fact, it’s that attribute that makes things beyond entertaining when he has to endure Julia’s questionnaires and protocols in order to complete her dating program and the intimate discussions he has to have with Julia. And Bram definitely uses their meetings to his advantage, even when Julia wants to ring his neck.
The flashbacks to Bram’s college days and his interactions with Julia allow readers to see that he’s a different man in present-day…not he just needs to prove that to Julia.
I have to admit that it took me a bit to figure Julia out – she’s definitely a quirky, intelligent, and independent woman but I feel like she holds too much inside and overthinks every situation and while that’s a good thing when it comes to her business, her own personal life seems to suffer, which makes the fact that she’s a matchmaker a bit more complicated.
I absolutely adored the Bromance between Bram, Rath, and Roark. The bond this trio of friends share is as entertaining as it is endearing. They give each other shit but also have each other’s back and they understand one another even more than I think they even realized.
The one relationship that I would have liked to see more of is Julia and Rath’s brother/sister bond. There were quite a few comments made about how close they are and how Rath protects her, but I wanted to see it through their own perspectives in order to truly capture just how much they lean on each other.
The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister is another great read by Meghan Quinn, and I am crossing my fingers that she’ll give her readers Rath and Roark’s stories sometime in the near future.
4.5 Poison Apples
My first read of 2019 and it’s a good one! Bram is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy. I just can’t get enough of him. Bram and Julia’s story is funny and sweet with a whole lot of heart.
Five swoony stars
And I totally enjoyed this book!

I am so head over heels in life with Bram!!! What a catch…gorgeous, rich, charming and sweet! Yes please! Julia is adorable, annoying, anal, clueless and it’s so endearing how much Bram cares for her despite it all 🙂
I love the relationship he has with Rath! Can’t wait for that sexy, broody Irishman Rourkes story!
So many lol moments…loved this one from start to finish! Tube socks and all!!!
I have been a huge Meghan Quinn fan for what seems like always. She really has this Rom-Com genre down and knows exactly how to deliver an amazing story full of hilarious antics mixed perfectly with a whole lot of steamy goodness.
This fun, fast paced read comes complete with an an original story line full of characters you can’t help but love. Bram will have you swooning into a puddle from the start. I mean, come on, he is a sexy billionaire who has secretly been in love with his best friends sister for years. Intent on making her see past his playboy image, Bram loses a bet with his friends that will have him spending more time with Julia and give him a chance to win her heart.
I really enjoyed reading this one and can’t wait to see what Meghan brings us next!
Quinn serves up another rom/com that had me snickering the entire way through. I really liked this light hearted and fun read.
All of Meghan’s heroes are absolutely adorable and Bram is no exception. I loved how he perused Julia and showed her there was more to him than the good time/ anti relationship guy. It took a little longer for me to warm up to Julia’s character but I loved her all the same. The banter was funny, the story line was cute. And I loved the bromance Bram and the guys.
This was a fun and easy read that put a smile on my face. I can always count on the author to bring an all around sweet romance.
Laugh out loud funny! Bram has had a thing for Julia for years and decides it’s finally time to make his move.
I seriously had to laugh out loud at parts in this book. The author paints the picture so clearly I felt like I was there with them, that I was a part of the group. I could see everything while I was reading.
Julia is super smart and believes in her business 100% what she doesn’t count on is Bram messing with her algorithm. Could she have been wrong with it but what if she was right? What if Bram isn’t who she thought he was the whole time she’s known him?
I absolutely loved the chemistry between Bram and Julia! Loved the secondary characters and everything they added to the story.
If you’re looking for a good laugh I definitely recommend this book with a smile on my face.
