One week.
It didn’t seem possible that a person could change in one week yet after only seven days spent with the mysterious Frenchman in Los Cabos, Mexico, Giselle was moving to New York City a changed woman. Confident, sexy and in charge, Elle is ready to take on the … ready to take on the challenges she knows await her when she reunites with her family and begins her career as an artist in earnest. This book picks up right where book #1 The Affair left off.
Elle and Sinclair are doing a delicate dance around her family. Trying to maneuver the waters and try to figure out how this is going to play out. Elena is still her cold, bitter self. Sinclair is trying to hold it together, but it failing miserably. He can’t stand that Elle is within his grasp, but he can not reach her. Elle is weary of Elena, always has been, she watches everyone with a critical eye and is quick to judge and poke fun of their dreams because they are different then her’s are. However, what Elle can’t do is stop lusting after Sinclair, her Frenchman.
What good can come from Elle and Sin being together? Surely her family will denounce them? Can Sinclair eat all the pain that would come their way?
The plot is growing thicker, now we are to the point of do or die for Sinclair. Can he let Elena go Elle? Or give up Elle for Elena? It’s kind of like does he want to take another breath or does he want to die an unhappy man in a crappy relationship built on business only?
I see and feel the coldness between Elena and Sinclair. I think Elena could be someone’s passionate love, I just don’t think it’s Sin’s. She needs a man she can manage, not a partner. I feel bad for her that this is all going on around her and all she can think about is a baby. I want to yell, open your eyes! Look @! You are so focused on one thing and your world is crashing down around you. But she doesn’t care what I have to say.
As for Elle and Sin. I want to root for them, but yet I’m on the fence because I see how many other people they can hurt with their selfishness. While I say, time heals all wounds, I wonder how deep some of those wounds will go and how slowly will people heal..
I loved book 2. This story keeps getting better and better. Sinclair and Elle battle against their attraction, and as the story progresses you wonder if they will every truly be able to be happy. There was so much intrigue, drama, and FEELINGS!!! Cannot wait for book 3!!!
Book 2 continues where book 1 left us; with Giselle leaving to go back to her life after her 7 day holiday affair. I know this book would push me to my limits before I even picked it up. Holy hell I was right! I love books that involve cheating as I know these books have the power to make me feel a whole range of emotions; something this author is extremely good at not to mention extremely hot, erotic and sensual.
This book enthralled me from the get go; Giselle’s character was very shy; lacking confidence in book 1. This book saw her confidence grow and I loved that about her. This author has created some incredible characters that keep you reading this book through the night until dawn! Every book has to have a character to fixate hate on; whilst the girlfriend is always going to be the obvious one we also get another – Margot! Truly wicked Margot. I hated her more… I can’t reiterate enough how great this authors writing is that can illicit the passion and emotions her writing brings!
This is such an incredible read and I really am glad I waited for them all to be published because waiting for book 3 would have left me in book hell!
WOWZA! “The Secret” isn’t the only thing exposed in this book! I was riveted by this second book in The Evolution of Sin series. Giselle and Sinclair’s emotions are stripped bare and on display. The other characters are all fascinating in and of themselves. Together they were burning up the pages with emotions and action all over the place. I couldn’t wait to turn each page and find out what was going to happen next! This author’s writing flows and captivates you while enticing you with a poetic style that is so beautiful. I’m totally invested in these characters, what they’re doing and where they’re going. With my heart in my throat, I’m diving in to Book 3, The Consequence. I am completely taken with Sinclair, Giselle, and this trilogy. This book and series is a MUST-READ! Don’t miss it!
GOD!!!!!!! This book about killed me. I can’t say what the big cliffhanger was about from the ending of The Affair because I don’t want to give away any spoilers to people that love to read reviews before reading the books. Boy, oh, boy. This book gave me anxiety, lol. I couldn’t stop turning and turning the pages. “What’s going to happen next?? How does nobody feel the sexual tension? Who’s going to catch them?…” Jesus!! Elle, our beautiful Elle. I felt soooooo much with her, for her. I wanted to high five her, hug her, cuddle her, I wanted to witness all those sexy scenes with our resident Dominant Sinclair. I’d die for a sister like Cosima and brother like Sebastian. Elena? She can go suck a cactus. You are going to LOVE TO HATE that woman. She’s like Elle’s evil stepsister but actually blood related. Uugghh!!!! LET’S MOVE ON TO THE CONSEQUENCE!
I don’t even know what to say. This book. These two characters. I am hooked. It’s 3am and I have just finished this story. I have cried, raged, laughed and just about combusted. Sinclair is one of the hottest, most believable dominant characters I have read and I have a major crush. Talk about a complicated love story. Okay off to binge book 3. Sleep is for the weak.
This book picks up right where book 1 ends and hold on to your hats and hearts, you are in for one heck of a ride, that at least I didn’t see coming. Secrets are revealed, new secrets form and love is tested in ways you never imagined
Did that just happen?!?! *picks jaw off floor* I did not see that coming at all!!! A fellow reader told me I needed to read this series and I am so glad I listened to her. I literally could not put it down. This book was filled with so much angst and anticipation. And left me questioning my moral compass. LOL!!!!! Because I was so cheering for Sin and Elle. I can’t wait to see how this all comes to an end.
Continue from the island romance, Elle comes home to her family with a renewed heart and mind although heart broken to her sexy frenchman. But while nothing seems change from her family, the good or bad, a bomb will drop right in her face. She finally discover who is the women in Sin’s life.
Fall in love with Giana at first read in Lessons in Corruption, Giana easily reel me in this story. You gonna need to read this series. Definitly have to read this series!
It was sad to think Giselle would never see her Frenchmen again. However once she discovers who his darling is, well things get complicated very quickly. Unfortunately no more will be said as not to spoil it is called The Secret after all.
Wow!! The bombshell dropped in this book has atomic proportions! This series is a true treasure if you enjoy books that are not just about steam and heat or even love and passion. Of course, you do get all of those things and in spades; but you also get a emotional story of two wounded people, that are the missing piece of each other’s soul, that fate finally brings together. Ah, but fate, as the saying goes, is a cruel mistress. So along with the good, she brings a ton of pain, guilt, betrayal, hatred, anger, and jealousy. This book will take your emotions run rampant and force you to question your ideals and opinions. What is right or wrong? Does the situation get to influence your answer? How about who is involved? Or whether someone is more likable or mean? Is a situation ever really black or white or is the world just a mind-blowing palette of grays. All of these questions are raised in this trilogy and the answers are not easy, comfortable, or painless. Elle and Sin’s story will touch your heart, mind and soul and it will make a mark that will remain. My heart melted for them and it broke for them. I cried for them and with them. I wanted to celebrate their love and yet was often horrified by the situation it has caused. I loved them both, but at times I hated them. In the end, their story has ensnared me like a fish caught in a net or a sailor hat has been mesmerized by a siren. I can’t wait to read the final book and see how it ends. I absolutely recommend this book and trilogy. Please, you must start with book one, The Affair. This trilogy gives you Sin and Ella’s story, spread over three books, and with cliffhangers ending books one and two. These are not standalone reads and trust me you need to read them all and in order for full understanding and reading enjoyment.
Oh Giana is all my muddled brain can manage to say over and over. I am reminded of that poem by Scott- “O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive”. It is 3:30 am here and I just can’t stop my Sin and Elle marathon. It’s all consuming, painful, emotional and so extremely thrilling. I am in awe that you were brave enough to take this subject on and do it to perfection. Love is not always easy, right and romantic. It is often complicated, gritty and sometimes just so hard. To say I am in LOVE with this couple might be the understatement of the year. I am obsessed with this love affair. I am torn apart by the utter heartbreak and emotion. I just want Sin and Elle to come out on top and sail into the sunset. Here I go jumping into Book 3. Please give me and them a happy ending. This book is just so incredible! Xoxoxo
Wow! This book and series is perfection. Checked all of my boxes. Read it you’ll be glad you did.
This is one of my favorite series ever.
Book 2 in the Evolution of Sin is everything I had hoped it would be. Sinclair and Elle are reunited in an unexpected place. They try to just be friends but their attraction to each other is just so strong and forces keep pushing them together. Until The Secret is out.

LET’S MOVE ON TO THE CONSEQUENCE!
The Secret the evolution of sin book 2
A continuation of a series. You must read book one in order to read this story. This one starts off where book one leaves off.
This is a story that continues with Giselle and Sinclair story. If you are
Not a fan of cheating in your characters then this might not be the book for you. But I do have to say the way that Ms. Giana Darling has beautifully written this story. You will not see this series in a bad light. I look at it you can’t control how your heart feels and and you can’t control who you fall in love with. Again take a chance and read this story of love and passion. It is truly artistic writing was such beauty and passion. It is heartbreakingly beautiful. Again This is the second in a trilogy so you must The Affair first. The next one in the series to learn about what happens with Giselle and Sinclair is called The Consequence. Honestly you are not going to be disappointed read it.
Elle & Sinclair’s story continues right where The Affair left off and it’s about to get messy.
After one final night, Elle sneaks off into the early morning and heads home. Sinclair is to be a treasured memory as she begins a new life in NYC. However, when she meets her eldest sister’s boyfriend she is in shock, Daniel Sinclair.
The two cannot believe it. Daniel has been with Elle’s sister Elena for four years, which is about the last time she saw her sister. Has Karma come to collect?
They try to stay away, do the right thing but it becomes impossible for them. Elle does not want to hurt her sister or her family, but Sinclair is not someone she can give up. These two battle with doing their conscience and it’s a cruel battle. Watching the one you love be with another or not being able to be together without huge sacrifice. No matter the choice, someone gets hurt.
So many secrets and lies, but so much love and insatiable lust. A continuing story of how messy and complicated love and life can be. No one said it would be easy.
Oh, the angst in this book! The heartbreak, and longing, and suspense, and deception. It was almost too much. But not too much that I had to put the book down. Oh no, I am still on a non stop binge on this series.
Something about her writing just draws me in completely. She has such a lovely way with words, and she’s so descriptive. There was one simple sentence that really struck me, the beauty and descriptiveness of it…”There was the soft clack of a belt being undone and the sexual gasp of a zipper.” I’ve never seen a man undoing his belt and zipper worded so sensually. I have a new favorite author, and I am on to the final book in the trilogy now!
Would you be able to give up the one person who understand you, even though they belong to someone else? Sinclair and Giselle must face all the issues of having a secret affair.
Not very often do characters feel like family to me but the characters in this trilogy do. I resonated with the characters, the family and the art. I fell in love with The Affair; but after The Secret, this trilogy became a favourite. Giana, you keep surprising me! Elle’s journey to her new self and accepting it was absolutely beautiful. °
I did get really pissed off in a couple of chapters in the middle by the characters; but that eased a few chapters later when another character addressed how I felt exactly. I really liked the different reactions on the matter from characters around them; it felt like readers’ varied opinions were addressed at the same time. All the angst was so worth it though!! And that cliffhanger! I need to read The Consequence already!! I can’t get over it.
