This was a good mystery set in a small seaside town. I enjoyed it.
Having grown up in a very small town, it was fun to read a story with characters that I already know. Different name, different place but same characters. Haha
I enjoy books like this when I have read to many heavy books and just want to relax and enjoy reading.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Loved the characters. Thought I knew who done it but was surprised at the end.
This was a great book. Easy to read, easy to follow.
Loved the young couple. I really enjoyed, it. Little bit of romance, along with murder.
A great read. Kept you guessing the end results
Nice story, good characters.
Fun, entertaining page turner. Can’t wait to read more in the series.

Loved it quick read to relax
Loved the book. Plan to purchase the remainder of the series!
Paige Comber comes to the island of Seaside to help her grandmother in her grandmother’s coffee shop “Bitter Beans”. She meets Nate, a man who has come to the island to help his uncle Byron Edwards. Paige goes to the beach and she and her friend Johnny, a tour guide and renter of surfboards, see something floating in the water. it is the body of Nate’s Uncle Byron. When Nate is arrested by the inept police, she vows to help him. She rides her bike all over the island seeking clues to who the real murderer is. I wanted Nate to be innocent and I delighted in Paige’s trying to find out what happened to Byron. It is a book readers finish very quickly because they get so involved in the story.
This was a surprise. I did not have a clue who the murderer was until Almost the end. Quaint small towns are the BEST, unless something happens that can turn the town against you. Or not. Great read for the small town adventure. Realistic setting.
An easy read that I was able to picture in my head is what I like. I really enjoyed reading about the seaside town and it’s residents. I will definitely continue to read this series.
This book kept me guessing
Cheerfully cute curious story!
Nice story
Started the next one.
I liked the characters in this book so much! I like the fact that the main character has a boyfriend for sure and no “is he my boyfriend or is he not my boyfriend”. He loves her and says so as does she to him. I really like that and that they work together. The story is good as well. I did not figure out who the murderer was until the author told me. I like all the characters on the island. They are all colorful and unique. As soon as I finished “The Secret of Seaside”, I ordered the second book in the series. It is a short book with lots of story.
First in a series. Likeable main character who knows a bit about coffee and sleuthing!
