From Buffy to Alias to Macgyver to Fringe, this book is all about espionage, intelligence, gadgets and nonstop action! Charlotte Dodd used to be a spy, although like the marines, once a spy, always a spy. She just does not remember. In fact, her memories have been wiped. They are gone…or are they? It seems muscle memory still remembers, even if responses slow. Then there are the increasingly regular dreams, or are they memories?
Loyalty to family has always been top most for the Dodds. Holly trusts her elder brothers before all others. What if you discover you can not trust those closest to you? Your whole world shifts!
If you have read the previous book, you think you know who the good guys are and who are mercenaries. After reading this installment, I am wondering if there are ANY good guys!
I am sure at this point Charlie/Lottie/Charlotte can not tell which memories are real and is wondering about her emotions too.
Under the guise of a spy novel, this book is about relationships and trust.
It raises questions about reality and perceptions.
With all the action and danger of a Bond movie but without the sex, this is an exciting adventure.
I loved The Secret Life of Charlotte Dodd! This book is exciting and engaging right from the beginning. It is full of action, adventure, mystery and humour. The characters are interesting and well developed. This is a fun book to read. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!
I wanted a fun spy read and found myself pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It’s one of those books you can’t put down until you finish it…….then you want the next one in the series. The plot holds together well, and the characters are well developed, fulfilling my requirement for the basics. The storyline flows with no pause in the action. It was just plain fun!
An unpredictable exciting adventure full of drama, mystery, secrets, mayhem, and forgotten memories. Lots of wonderful, wacky, weird characters, both good and evil. An entertaining tale of spies, betrayal, family and chaos. Just who are the good guys and whom are the bad. So hard to tell at times, even when you think you have it out a new and strange twist and turn will throw you off track. So many confusing leads and misinformation is thrown at you that you are kept guessing until the very end! Excellent story!
It seems she can do so much that she should not know. Is she really a spy? How can she not know her past? What can she find out about her past? See how she will get on trying to uncover her past
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Best Kick-Ass Female Spy – Ever!
This is the first episode of the Charlotte Dodd series, although there is a prequel. The plot in this story is intense with many twists and surprises. While this book is a stand-alone, it does open the door to the next episode. I can’t wait to start the next book! I received this book for free and this is my honest opinion.
