Nash Kingston is an former Navy SEAL who has been in love with Violet Moon for almost half his life. When he tried to stop her wedding six years ago, she told him to leave. Now, she is divorced with a young son and took a job on Coconut Island to get away from her life before she returns to Boston and a new job. She expected to be able to relax and enjoy time with her son. The one thing she didn’t expect was to run into the man she had been trying to forget for years.
Nash owns Coconut Island Resort and is committed to helping grow the resort and help to small town. Due to a bad hurricane season, the community has been struggling and he is determined to raise money to help. Due to some smart investments and a wonderful mentor, he has been able to build a fortune for himself. Little does Violet know how successful he has become. But all the success in the world is worth nothing if he can’t have the one thing he has always wanted; true love and a family.
Nash and Vi experienced a terrible tragedy when they were teenagers and in love and that tragedy tore them apart. They blamed themselves and seemed to be always searching for forgiveness and a way to get rid of the guilt.
This was a quick read and a sweet story. I have read several books by this author and her books always leave you with a good feeling and a happy ever after ending. They are clean and the stories are romantic. I borrowed this book through the Kindle Lender’s Library.
This was a fun read! You know that awkward silence when the question “Who knows of any reason that this marriage should not take place?” Well, Nash fills it, making it even more awkward. There are romantic dates, a resounding slap, fun days spent together on the water, a match-making employee/friend, and everything else needed for a sweet romance. I got my copy through KU.
What is better than a book that has an awesome story-line and amazing characters with whom you completely fall in love? Let me tell you! It’s starting ANOTHER book, by one of your all time favorite authors, getting TOTALLY immersed in the plot before you even finish the 1st page, you turn the page, and YAY! you get to enjoy old friends as you are making new ones. (I do understand that these are characters in a book, not real people. Truly! 😉 But Summer and Hunter James are in this book!!! *Happy Dance LOL) The Second Chance Billionaire Boss is such a fun book. Watching Nash and Violet fall in love while dealing with the past, learning to forgive, and getting to know each other again as adults was sheer enjoyment! And oh my goodness! The CHARACTERS! Such CHARACTERS! I can’t wait for the next book in the Coconut Bachelor Beach Romances!
I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Taylor Hart has another great book with this one about an island devastated by a hurricane and a billionaire who owns a resort that he uses to raise funds to rebuild the town. In the process he meets the love of his life who had rejected him in the past when he interrupted her wedding. It includes themes of care for her child, forgiving yourself, and building relationships. I would recommend reading this book.
It’s been 6 years since they’ve seen each other. They’re miles from either of their homes. Can this be their second chance or will their tragic past that neither has moved on from or forgiven be too much.
t’s been awhile since I read something by this author. I’d forgotten how quickly she hooks you with her characters. A sweet romance with a great storyline.
