An engaging story of two people who finally find their chance in life to be happy. Lady Chastity had lived in the shadow of her older sister but yearned for more than being a wallflower. By chance, finding an old letter by her mother, makes her wonder if she knew her at all! It seems there may have been a scandal her mother had kept hidden and it made Chastity want to solve the mystery and maybe even be a little bold herself!
A fated meeting at a house party before a wedding, brings Bastion, Earl of Mansfield in contact with Chastity. Until now, he had lived his life by the wishes of others and had been caring for his ailing mother. She inspires him to step out and take a chance and he wants to win her heart!
I loved to see both of these characters begin to find a little adventure of their own and kisses under the mistletoe seemed to be just what they needed!
Although part of a series this can be read as a standalone and trust me, you do not want to miss it!!
I really enjoyed this lovely Book 4 in the series – it was sweet, entertaining with a HEA! Bastian Stanhope, Earl of Mansfield has not had a lot of social experience & has always lived his life in accordance with what others needed from him. When his Father dies & his Mother is heartbroken & ailing, he forgets anything to do with his future to care for his Mother.
Lady Chastity Neville & her sister, Prudence have decided to become spinsters & hide at balls among the potted plants. But lately Chastity has been questioning her decisions & wants to become more adventurous & perhaps finds a man to marry.
Bastian & Chastity meet at a house party before a wedding & they both discover what they have been missing out on – adventure, compatible company you love to spend time with, romance & love. I highly recommend this book & the series , although it can easily be read as a stand alone book. I was gifted this ARC & have voluntarily given you my honest opinion – I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Book four in the Undaunted Debutantes series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. This is a sweet clean read told in dual POV with HEA. Bastian Stanhope lacking social experience tries to avoid notice and social interaction. Chastity Neville spent her first season as a wallflower and is ready to be more adventurous. An acquaintances Christmastide wedding brings them together. I liked this historical holiday story were they each had to step out of their comfort level to choose each other! The epilogue sets up the next story.
Another great story to continue the series
This is another example of the great writing that has created this series. This clean plot has another of the friends finally meeting their match, while trying to solve a mystery from the past. A very entertaining and enjoyable read.
A delightful Regency romance that kept me entertained, this book is both serious with moments of comedy that had me laughing out loud. Chastity has been under the influence of Prudence for far too long and she yearns to break free from the strictures being placed on her by her older sister. Finding a love letter written by her mother a lifetime ago motivates Chastity to discover the truth behind the mystery. Her initial meeting with Bastian is witty, but she realises that he is weighed down by something that troubles him. Being a conscientious and responsible young man, Bastian is viewed as being weak by some of his peers, however nothing could be further from the truth. As Chastity and Bastian get to know one another they discover that they have a number of hurdles to get over, not the least of which is Prudence’s disapproval. I enjoyed this well-written story and although it is part of a series, it is also a standalone. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
An enjoyable story with some surprises and lovely twists.
This story is a part of “The Undaunted Debutantes” but it could read as stand alone.
Friendships, love for family or for your soul mate.
A beautiful story for Christmas time.
I received a free book and this is my honest review.
I loved this book by Christina McKnight, which has her customary complex characters and emotional weight. I enjoyed the mystery element, and I felt like these two characters who are outcasts to the rest of Society really found their perfect matches in each other. I highly recommend!
This is another lovely clean read by Ms McKnight. As always her main characters are easy to relate too and the each of the secondary characters help make the story flow. It was nice to see a Hero with a tender caring side and who is not the most popular boy at school and the Heroine, find her strong side and stand up for herself. I also liked the mystery that adds a dash of zigg to the story. Always a good read. I received this book as an ARC.
A forgotten letter was all it took to ignite Chastity and pull her from the shadows. These two are very different, but also alike in many ways. Their first meeting set the tone for the story and it does not disappoint. I loved how they brought out the best in each other and some of the wickedness too. It hurt my heart to see her and her sister at odd, but it just makes me more excited for the next story. I laughed at their brother with how he was acting and absolutely loved the ballroom scene.
Chastity is ready to be herself and have some scandalous fun at the same time. She really struggled after finding that note, but without it, she would still be in the shadows. I loved that she was ready to take on anyone and didn’t care what others thought.
Bastian is one of the shyest and quiet lords I’ve seen. He puts everyone else first and doesn’t think he’s worth notice. I loved seeing him go from shy and quiet to ready to fight because of her. He needed her more than he knew.

This story will leave you with a warm holiday glow. The Season of Lady Chastity by Christina McKnight is the 4 book in The Undaunted Debutantes series. Though in a series it can be read as a standalone. There is nothing better than reading about a wallflower that can now stand on her own and especially at a Christmastide wedding. Christina has such an amazing talent for writing and her stories are just so original, I always sigh at the end of one of her books. You can’t help but fall in love with Chastity and Bastian as they are just too sweet for words. I am always excited when a new release of hers comes out and I just have to read it. This story has a sister’s love, a secret love letter, teasing, taking care of an ailing parent, arguments, death, persistence, protection, rescue, acceptance, kindness, cruelty, coldness and a growing love. Everything that I just love in a story! I highly recommend this wonderful regency holiday story.
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
What a wonderful additional to a sweet series! Chastity and Bastian are two of the most adorable and likeable characters. From the first pages, I was hoping that both would find their happily ever afters.
Ms. McKnight continues to write books that draw me in right from the beginning. She adds romance with a dash of mystery to inspire me to keep turning the pages until the end.
While this is the fourth book in the series, it can easily be read and enjoyed as stand alone.
More 3 1/2 than 4. I loved the first book in the series, but Chastity and Bastian’s story, not so much. Chastity is wishy washy on whether she wants to be a strong heroine or follow her sister’s lead. Bastian I wasn’t impressed with. He was more a “beta” character than an “Alpha” male. I’m more used to H/h being strong. These 2 almost seemed like they needed their friends to stand up for them. The story line itself was a refreshing change from normal stories I read and I did appreciate that part! I’m still not sure what to think of Bastian’s mother! Thank you for the advanced readers copy!
The Season Of Lady Chastity by Christina McKnight is a great holiday read for historical romance fans. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. McKnight has gifted readers with a book that is well-written and loaded with outstanding characters. Chastity no longer wants to join her sister in being a wallflower. Bastian has cared for his mother since his father died and will continue to do so, no matter how much torment his acquaintances heap on him. Chastity and Bastian’s story is packed with drama, spice, humor and a bit of mystery. I enjoyed reading The Season Of Lady Chastity and look forward to reading more from Christina McKnight in the future. The Season Of Lady Chastity is book 4 of The Undaunted Debutantes Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the fourth book in the series & could easily be read on its own, we do catch up with the three ‘debutantes’ from the earlier books as this book is set around the lead up to Luci’s wedding. A very enjoyable read which I read in two sittings, the characters are well drawn & have depth. The pace of the book is good & flows very well. I wondered at the start if Bastian would be a wimp but he was far from it & I loved it when he finally stood up to the bullies. Chastity blossomed throughout the book & the pair thoroughly deserved their HEA.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
