The Seal’s Convenient Marriage by Katie Knight is a pleasant little romance, much like many others, but useful for taking a break from more serious fare. Knight does a credible job with both plot and characters, given the limited range she has assigned herself. There’s only so many ways to depict a seal ready to settle down. This is a good one. Nate Shaw is a Navy Seal and older half-brother to Matthew, his mother’s son from another relationship. On her deathbed, his mother gave custody of Matthew to Emily Edwards, his nanny. She knew that making Nate his guardian would halt his dram of becoming a Seal so they all agreed it was for the best. And it had been, and was. But now, Matthew is very sick and can be made better only by very expensive treatments. Until now Emily has managed, although it is putting her into the poor house. Then Matthew’s doctor makes some threatening suggestions after Emily accidentally sees a suspicious meeting, and Emily feels she must find another doctor. Nate looks at the situation and determines that the solution is his medical insurance and they only way to provide that is to marry Emily, as she is Matthew’s adopted mother. He could then adopt Matthew as well. A marriage that would last only as long as it was needed. Emily decided to go along with the plan, not mentioning the threats from Matthews doctor.
Knight writes a good novel. The characters are good and the plot is decent. Of course, we know the ending before we begin reading, but it is the journey that is the important thing and this is an entertaining journey. It’s always fun to see a reluctant man fall in love. It’s even more fun to see him love a child as much as Nate loves Matthew. It’s an entertaining read with just a touch of adventure. There’s never a shortage of bad guys, sadly. I recommend it for what it is.

This was a good SEAL story except Nate slipped up in a few things a SEAL would not have slipped up on – we can attribute that to love.
The story itself was fine. The writing was not very descriptive. I kept reading because I wanted to see what was going to happen, but I wasn’t drawn in by the depth of the writing although I came close to feeling the emotion of the character a few times.
This is my first book by this author, and I see some other titles I would like to read.

I love the twist here in the fake marriage trope. Emily needs the benefits marrying Nate would provide for his brother Matthew. Their attraction is palpable and you can feel their pull through the pages but Nate doesn’t believe in love and marriage. It takes some danger and the need to protect her and Matthew for him to realize that maybe he can have it. It’s sweet, and sexy with some mystery and suspense thrown in.

Love breaks through stubborn independence and walls
The SEAL’s Convenient Marriage by Katie Knight is a well written military romance with a dash of danger, a sip of suspense and heaps of heart and heat.
Emily and Nate are integral to each other’s lives through unique circumstances. Danger brings them in close proximity and brings up feelings, longing and desires long denied and buried. I was quickly enthralled with Emily’s plight and Nates role as her protector, creating the perfect storm for them to acknowledge the chemistry, act on it and develop all the feelings that lead to love.
Overall, a very well written military romance of danger, suspense, connection, acceptance and ultimately love and family for a really wonderful HEA with tons of feels all around.

I love a good marriage of convenience romance and Emily and Nate’s story as a really good sweet read I was pulled right in and once I started it I just did not want to put it down I would definitely recommend it. I really liked it and you may too.
Nate will never get married. Being a Seal is all that matters and his little brother Matthew.
Emily is raising Matthew. His mom died of cancer.
Nate has seen the medical bills and knows there is only one solution, he has to marry Emily.
Emily is receiving threats after seeing something she shouldn’t have.. Will Nate be able to protect them? Will Emily get her true love?
I had so much fun with this contemporary twist on the marriage of convenience theme. Paired with the fact that it stars a military hero, and I’m happier than a cat rolling in catnip. I loved Nate and Matthew. Even though these two don’t have anything like a conventional sibling relationship, the brotherly bond between them is palpable. Emily, on the other hand, drove me slightly mental. Her insistence that she could handle everything for herself and that only she could make the right choices, made me want to shake some sense into her. Particularly while I watched her dance obliviously into ‘too stupid to live’ territory. I grew up on fairy tales, so I get where she was coming from in terms of wanting her perfect Happy Ever After, but Emily broke my heart when she continued to cling to her unrealistic dreams in the face of something that could be pretty fantastic. However, for as much as Emily made me gnash my teeth in frustration, I really did enjoy the story, and I loved the way it ended.

I really enjoyed reading the story about Emily, Nate and Matthew. There was a lot of suspense in it, who was threatening Emily? Nate was wanting to protect her and Matthew (his half brother) and he could do that by marrying her. Their feelings for each grew but both of them had to through hoops before they saw their HEA.

Crushed by debt Emily sees something that bring threats but can Nate help.
Emily Edwards had adopted Matthew the boy who she was nanny to on the death of his mother but then he developed cancer and the treatments drained her bank account. Going to the clinic to drop off a check for a payment she is late paying she sees something through the window that has her hurrying back to her car where Matthew’s doctor catches up with her and threatens her. Matthew’s half-brother Nate a Navy SEAL is home on leave and find the unpaid bills and suggests they marry so his insurance will cover most of the bill for Matthew’s treatment.

Super sweet military romance read that didn’t disappoint! I loved that the storyline was different from your normal military romance read, I enjoyed the different direction the characters took but in the end it sealed the deal with their HEA. Emily and Nate’s characters were very likable and they had great chemistry, add the easy to read story just made for an enjoyable story from start to finish.
Emily and Nate’s story is a sweet story about finding love right in front of your eyes. The challenges they faced were very realistic with a touch of intrigue to keep the excitement going. Can’t wait to read more from this author!

This was a different kind of read from the normal. The nanny, Emily Edwards adopted her young charge after his mother passed even though he had a much older halfbrother, Nate Shaw. Their mother wanted it that way as Nate was a Navy SEAL, she wanted him to be able to fulfill his dream. It worked well for both Emily and Nate until she ran into some trouble. Nate decided he wanted to help her with all those troubles and that was the beginning of some real intrigue. You will set on the edge of your chair turning pages as fast as you can trying to find out what will happen next. A lot enough time to read all at once as you will not want to put it down until you finish.

This is a sweet , heartwarming romance between Nate and Emily. The authors do a great job bringing the two together for the sake of four year old Matthew,Nate’s half brother and her adopted son. They build the story slowly and do a wonderful job moving the relationship forward. They bring a bit of steam and a happy ending. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

Nate’s a a Navy Seal and Matthew is his half brother who has been going thru cancer treatments. His mom was killed in a car accident, before she died she had made Emily his adoptive mother. But she was running low on money for bills and his treatments. So when Nate gets home from his deployment they make a business arrangement where they got married and that would take care of Matthew’s medical bills. But Emily witnessed something with the doctor who was treating Matthew and trouble came back to haunt her for what she saw. Danger, a strong willed woman and a great little boy. HEA.
