Romance of the best kind. This story is such a sweet Navy Seal story. As it is not one of those short insta everything this story allows for villains, twists and turns around in the story which makes it also that much better. Of course the HEA is not damaging either. Overall a really good romance and one very deserving of fabulous four stars.

This was a simply wonderful romance. I loved Emily and Nate. They were both very strong characters but they had some vulnerabilities too. This book was well written, paced and read easily. The story grabbed my attention and tugged at my emotions. There’s an abundance of intense emotions, drama, suspense, danger, heart, turmoil, tension and heat to be had as the storyline unfolds. Just So Good!! I am posting an independent, impartial review.
Emily and her adopted son’s brother, Nate, a Navy Seal. They agree to have a marriage of convenience to help with Matthew’s cancer treatments, but someone’s threatening Emily for something she saw. When she finally tells Nate, the threats start to escalate.

A good story. I liked Nate and thought Matthew’s character was good in how he interacted with everyone. The only character I didn’t like was Emily. Her character evolves by the time you get to the end of the story but her character seemed too tunnel-minded to believe the 180 in attitude at the end of the story.

Emily witnesses something she should not have. Nate comes to her rescue, in more than one way. This book depicts an interracial romance in the best possible way. I appreciate the author for doing that.

Emily was Matthew’s nanny when his mother was alive, when his mother died she was Matthew’s adopted mother. Nate couldn’t take care of him because he was a seal and was deployed quite a bit. She was having financial problems with trying to pay the bills. To help Nate said that if they married he could add his brother Matthew to his insurance and that would help with the cancer treatments. She saw the doctor selling drugs and got threatened by his goons but that got taken care of and they realized they had fallen in love with each other so instead of a marriage of convenience it became real!!! Love this book, wasn’t to sure at first but decided to give it a try and loved the book!
WOW! This book drew me in until the end! What starts out as one kind of relationship between Emily and Nate, turns into something else. Will they be able to build a real relationship?

4 Stars
This was a sweet marriage of convenience story. Nate and Emily had good chemistry. Matthew was a cute kid. I was glad Emily agreed to marry Nate, even if she thought it was only for Matthew’s sake.
I didn’t really like Emily much. Nate was Matthew’s brother, but she continually felt the need to throw it in his face that Matthew was “her” son and she was the only one who could make decisions for him. Her attitude completely rubbed me the wrong way. It was like she was saying that Nate’s relationship with Matthew held no importance.
The other thing was Emily seemed to be completely irrational when it came to keeping both herself and Matthew safe. Why she thought doing what she was doing would work is beyond me.
Then we have her idealized notion of marriage. I’m not saying that Nate was perfect, but he didn’t have nearly as many hangups as Emily.
A sweet, fast paced romance with a couple of steamy scenes, a cute kid, and an HEA.
