Lila never expected to have a whirlwind romance with a Navy SEAL, and she certainly didn’t plan on falling in love. Something else she didn’t expect? Finding out she was pregnant not long after Preston Lawson deployed. Worse yet, when she tries to tell him he’s about to be a daddy, she’s informed that Preston was killed in action, leaving her alone and desperate. But after years of struggling to … to get by, she’s finally created a stable life for her and her son and plans to celebrate Christmas in a big way: by heading to the very lodge where she met Preston. The lodge is decorated perfectly for the Christmas spirit, and Lila is content—if not a little lonely. Until Preston, the I’m-supposed-to-be-dead Navy SEAL shows up out of the blue.
Preston never thought about settling down. His unit was his family. His life was the Navy. So three years ago, when a clerical mistake left him officially dead and he was offered the opportunity to use his new anonymity to participate in Black Op missions, he accepted. But when he’s given leave right before Christmas, he gives into nostalgia and heads to the lodge where he and Lila—the woman he’d fallen in love with—first met. He was hoping for some Christmas spirit, but he never expected to find Lila. Or learn that he has a son. Preston knows in that instant his life will be inalterably changed—for the better. But while he and Lila grow closer, it soon becomes clear that someone is trying to harm her, and Preston will do everything in his power to keep her safe. In the end, Preston will have to decide whether protecting Lila and their son safe means staying with them or leaving them behind.

First time read for Ms. Katie Knight and I must say that I am so thoroughly impressed. The storyline in her release, The Seal’s Christmas Baby, has everything to keep you glued to your e-reader all throughout this impressive book.
Imagine falling in love with your soulmate and then leaving them, however much you didn’t want to. That is exactly what happens after Lila and Preston experienced the most loving and perfect Summer together. Horrible circumstances surrounding Preston take him away from the love of his life, with no end in sight to his service, as a Seal, for the US Government. After years apart, they unexpectedly reunite, only how do you tell your one and only that you no longer exist? How do you walk away from the child you never knew you had? Dangerous situations surround this couple, and it’s time to give his all, in a way he has never before. Trust me, you will want to read this action packed romance. Wonderfully Written.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced readers copy of The Seal’s Christmas Baby in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion.
I can’t wait to see what she’ll dream up next. One thing that is certain, I will be not only reading it, but following this Author, from now on.

I loved this book it’s a happy holiday romance story about second chances at love. It’s the story of Preston and Lila and how fate gives them a second chance with each other. Great Story
This is a story of not really knowing what you want until it is gone as well as a second chance at love. The characters are great you meet them when they have a whirlwind romance that ends when Preston has to go back to being a SEAL while Lila gets a surprise after he leaves. Kismet decides to intervene and Lila and Preston meet again and both learn of what each other has been through but Lila still doesn’t want to open her heart to Preston and you get it but you feel how torn Preston is about wanting more but having a dark cloud looming over them. While they try and work out how they fit in each others lives as well as Parkers something evil is at work and Lila is the target.

This has action, danger, the mafia and so much more. Lila and Preston were together for several months but Preston left on deployment. She found out she was pregnant but was told he was killed while on deployment. They were reunited by chance at the lodge they first met at. This has a great storyline, wonderful characters and kept me turning the pages. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The Seal’s Christmas Baby by Katie Knight was a quick and delightful read of second chances for both Lila Holden and Preston Lawson.
They met during the summer at the lodge where she worked and he was taking leave from the Navy Seals but when he’s called back to duty, she finds out she’s expecting a baby she’s told that Preston has died during a op which was a clerical error. He was given a chance to find the person who planted the IED that took his teammates life. But when he shows up again after 3 years at the same lodge she’ll have to decide if she wants Preston involved with Parker. Could their Christmas become a happily ever after? When Lila starts having accidents and a person tries to enter their cottage, Preston will do whatever it takes to protect his new family.
A well written and enjoyable second chance mystery romance. The story-line is engaging, consistent, and moves at a brisk pace with drama, humour, danger, suspense, attempted kidnapping and murder, and twists and turns. Likeable characters; they have amazing chemistry between them. A recommended read!

This has it all….love, loss, grief, struggles and a second chance that Lila thought she would never have. Lila and Preston had a passion filed romance just before he was set to deploy again. Lila soon finds out she is pregnant and tries to contact Preston, only to find out he was killed in action on assignment. What she doesn’t know is that the report of Preston’s death was a mistake, but one his CO took to send him on a special ops mission. A few years go buy with Lila working her way out of an unsavory loan arrangement and heading to the mountains where she knew peace, and love. She has no idea that her new neighbor for the holidays is the man she thought was dead! Preston never forgot Lila and wonders if the little boy with her could be his. I love their story of reconnecting and when danger shows up at her door, Preston will do anything to protect the woman he has always loved and the little boy who has captured his heart. So good!!
Wonderful story just for Christmas.
He is on active duty taking well deserved vacation in the mountain cabin. She was next cabin.
From one thing to another he left ,she got little gift from him.
Paperwork mistakenly listed him as MIA. While he joins Black OPS with different identity she is suffering loss and becomes single mother.
I guess you might figure out the ending..
I ,personally am sucker for HEA

I loved everything about this book, it’s well written with lots of suspense and feels.
One minute you are pulling for Lila and Preston to be able to find a way to keep their family together and the next you are trying to figure what is going on with everything that is happening, the suspense will keep your attention as you read page after page of this exciting action packed book.
LIla and Preson’s love is passionate and real while the encounters with evil are also real and trying to figure out who and why is exciting.
I give this book 5 big stars and highly recommend it!
This is my first book by Leslie North. I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style. The Seal’s Christmas Baby is easy to read and engaging. There is action, suspense, romance, steamy scenes, and of course a HEA. I look forward to reading more of her books!
Two of my favorite storylines combines for a winner: military and Christmas holiday themes!

This is a kinda sweet love story with some real excitement woven into it. I did figure out way before Lila did who was trying to hurt her. Lila and Preston make a good couple with some realistic challenges not only with each other but in dealing with her adorable little boy. There are some wonderful secondary characters in the book starting with the chaplin and ending with the couple who own the lodge and Preston’s CO. The sex is tastefully represented and, of course, an HEA and an epilogue. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to romance lovers.

The story of Lila and Preston is intense with lots of twists and turns. The lead characters in this second chance romance are likable, but little Parker almost stole the show just being a cutie. It was a satisfying read.

Couple: Lila and Preston
First meeting: Cabin in Northern California
Cuteness Overload: Parker
Problems: Well, we’re talking about a Navy SEAL and those that love them. Oh! Mobsters, Unknown child (Surprise), Holiday festivities, and a mystery!
This is my first introduction to Katie Knight! Ms. Knight introduces us to our hunky SEAL, Preston, and his eight week “fling”, Lila Holden. He’s on a “break” and she’s a waitress. As you can imagine, they’re enjoying their short time together. After he leaves, Lila finds out she’s pregnant. He’s injured during a mission that ends up being an ambush. Then the fun begins because Ms. Knight weaves a romantic holiday tale with a mystery! You meet some really great secondary characters: Tom, Nancy, Clara, and the twins! And you meet some not so cool people. However, that adds to the mystery.
If you want to swoon, Preston’s the SEAL for you. Lila and Preston’s son, Parker, is so adorable. He’s so grown up at times and enthusiastic at other times. The family setting that Ms. Knight sets for the reader makes you want to grab some hot chocolate, watch a fire in the fireplace, and imagine the three of them enjoying a nice family holiday. Great book!

Preston and Lila meet and have a whirlwind romance. Soon Preston gets deployed and shortly after Lila finds out she’s pregnant with his child. She tries to reach out to let him know but is told he’s deceased so she works hard to care for her son and herself. A few years later she returns to the lodge where she met Preston, only to realize he’s alive. He’s just as shocked to see her as he’s never forgotten her. He’s also shocked to find out he has a son. Can these two have their happily ever after and become a happy family or will someone try to prevent that from happening. Great characters, holiday romance and some suspense added in.

I loved this book! Preston was orphaned young and raised in a series of unloving foster families, making him the perfect unattached Navy SEAL, even to being reported as a dead man so as to go deep undercover. Imagine his surprise when he returns at Christmastime to the mountain lodge he spent leave three years ago to find the only woman he had ever loved with a two-year-old that had to be his very own son! Parker was a perfect addition to the plot which focused around a series of serious accidents Lila experienced until it became obvious somebody was trying to kill her. Of course, only Preston could step in to protect her and be a perfect Daddy while adjusting his idea of his future
This is a very emotional romance. Lila and Preston have some unexpected things happen that causes heartbreak. After 3 years a very surprising reunion happens. What happens when they see each other again? Has danger, violence, drama, and love.
