Lila never expected to have a whirlwind romance with a Navy SEAL, and she certainly didn’t plan on falling in love. Something else she didn’t expect? Finding out she was pregnant not long after Preston Lawson deployed. Worse yet, when she tries to tell him he’s about to be a daddy, she’s informed that Preston was killed in action, leaving her alone and desperate. But after years of struggling to … to get by, she’s finally created a stable life for her and her son and plans to celebrate Christmas in a big way: by heading to the very lodge where she met Preston. The lodge is decorated perfectly for the Christmas spirit, and Lila is content—if not a little lonely. Until Preston, the I’m-supposed-to-be-dead Navy SEAL shows up out of the blue.
Preston never thought about settling down. His unit was his family. His life was the Navy. So three years ago, when a clerical mistake left him officially dead and he was offered the opportunity to use his new anonymity to participate in Black Op missions, he accepted. But when he’s given leave right before Christmas, he gives into nostalgia and heads to the lodge where he and Lila—the woman he’d fallen in love with—first met. He was hoping for some Christmas spirit, but he never expected to find Lila. Or learn that he has a son. Preston knows in that instant his life will be inalterably changed—for the better. But while he and Lila grow closer, it soon becomes clear that someone is trying to harm her, and Preston will do everything in his power to keep her safe. In the end, Preston will have to decide whether protecting Lila and their son safe means staying with them or leaving them behind.

I really enjoyed this festive second chance romance, it was well-written with a fast paced intriguing storyline. The chemistry between Preston and Lila was sizzling and my heart broke for Lila when she heard the news about Preston. She is a wonderful strong character that inspires with her good attitude. I loved little Parker, totally adorable and Preston was strong and loyal, made wrong choices but were right at the same time.
Highly entertaining.

This is the third book I have read by Katie Knight and I each book gets better and better. I smiled in the prologue, the dancing in the rain. I understood the depth of Preston and felt the strength of Lila. Your right there with her as she searches for a way to contact him, the shut doors because she’s not the spouse.
The frustration the anguish. The deep undercover for Preston didn’t sit quite right, but than I am a plan old citizen with no knowledge. This was an extremely enjoyable second chance, per s, and to have it all unfold over Christmas was great!

This book caught my attention within the very first pages! There is a sizzling attraction, sacrifice, action, drama, suspense, and the chemistry between Preston and Lila was white-hot!! I liked that Preston was ready to question his life choices and look for a way to make things work out with Lila so that he could keep both her and his son Parker safe and in his life.
The conclusion packed a real punch and yes, yes, yes…an epilogue of epilogues!!

This book isn’t predictable, other than perhaps Lila’s pregnancy. It is, though, a well-written exploration of reconciliation, courage to go forward, connection, and a mob connection that could turn deadly. I love it when an author tosses hints out and I miss them – and that happens here. Preston as a character is particularly well written; nothing in his present or future is straightforward or easy, and he doesn’t hesitate to take it on. And I have to say, that epilogue, the feels!

Great story about a girl and a Navy Seal that have a great few days in a cabin in the mountains. He has to leave on assignment and wants no attachments, but she loves him. Well there’s a surprise for her and then devastation. While he’s overseas his unit is ambushed and they had been set up. Now he’s about to do something that will change his and her lives forever. HEA.
WOW awesome book. After a two month fling Lila and Preston part ways. Preston to his SEAL team. He couldn’t promise to keep in touch with Lila. Not long after he left Lila finds out she is pregnant. When she tries to get in touch with Preston she finds out he was killed in action. Preston wasn’t killed he went black Ops to try and find the person that was leaking his units orders. Three years later he is on leave an decides to go to Cedar Lodge for Christmas. The camp ground where he and Lila spend their time together only to find Lila there with a 2 year old child that looked just like him. Lila had a hard time while pregnant and after the birth of her son Parker he had to have surgery.. This book is really good. I couldn’t put it down. Lots of action with strong characters, a love that didn’t die and a second chance for them both. That is if the person after Lila doesn’t kill her! I highly recommend this book. HEA.

**Spoiler Alert** This was my first book by this author and she hit it out of the park. Lila and Preston met when he was on leave from the military. She fell in love with him but he had feelings for her but resigned himself to being a single service man. He leaves for tour and while he is gone she finds out she is pregnant. She tries to get ahold of him but has no luck and tries going to the base to reach him. The service tells her he died in service when if fact he was injured and they marked him dead so he could go undercover to find the people responsible. She has a hardships during and after her pregnancy being that her family passed away years ago and she is alone. She comes in to some money and decides to head back to the place she met him at to celebrate it with her son and to make decisions on how to move forward. Preston gets put on leave and during his time away from her, all he could think about was her so he decides to head back to where they met as well. Let’;s say that is when the sparks start to fly. He is now questioning the decisions he has made and she is expecting to leave her again. Add to this mix, someone is going after her as well. He realizes he can’t have anything happen to her. This book was great on suspense and chemistry between the characters. It’s worth reading.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. WOW WOW WOW I loved this story. It has romance, heartache and then suspense. Lila and Preston spent the best summer ever together. He is home temporarily before he has to go back. He is a Navy SEAL. He is part of a black ops team and he never knows when or where he will end up. He has to end things with her especially when she tells him that she loves him. He leaves for his next mission and after nearly being killed his CO offers him a job where he will be recorded as being killed in action. What he doesn’t know is that Lila has been trying to get a hold of him. She is crushed when she finds out he is dead. Alone and pregnant she has to do what needs to be done. She will survive for her baby.
Wow there were so many emotions in this book. Lila falls in love with Preston, but he leaves her to go on a mission. She finds out she is pregnant and tries to tell him, but is told he was killed in action. Lila raises sweet little Parker on her own and once she comes into a little money she decides to take him to the mountains where she met Preston. Little did she know, Preston is alive. He has always thought about her so when he gets leave he returns to the mountain also. When they see each other the connection is still there and he is surprised to have a son, but now there is someone after them. He will do whatever it takes to keep his family safe. This was definitely a page turner.

The Seal’s Christmas Baby is overflowing with surprises. Some will keep you on the edge of your seat. Others will break you heart. Lila and Preston were a sensory overload. What began as a tempting love affair became a tempestuous case of survival. Will their love have them paying the ultimate price. Knight keeps hearts racing the whole way through.
This started out with a bang and I couldn’t put it down. Even knowing what was happening, I was anxious to see how it would all play out and when it all came down for their second chance, it was explosive. You get some angst and action and sweetness and sexiness all in one.
