When Maria asked Navy SEAL Trevor Daniels to father her child—no strings attached—the hardened SEAL had no idea just how explosive their chemistry would be. As part of their arrangement, he vowed never to contact her again after the positive pregnancy test, but he never stopped thinking about the fiery woman who had captured his heart. A year later, when one of Trevor’s dark ops missions ends … with the death of his captain and suspicions aimed at him, Maria’s the only investigator he knows who can help him crack the case.
Maria Blanchard had been raised to be a proper Southern Belle—an stereotype so completely wrong for her she’d retreated into books during her high school years. When the police academy finally gave her the guts to be the woman she’d always desired, she realized she didn’t need anyone to achieve her dreams. Not to get her dream job, and certainly not to get her dream baby. Still, when her childhood crush agreed to father her baby, she never expected to fall for the hunky SEAL.
When Trevor shows up on Maria’s doorstep in need of her help, he calls in his favor. But being wanted for a military crime means that Maria won’t just be helping Trevor, she’ll be harboring a fugitive, and the father of her child. Unable to say no, with her pride and her heart screaming yes, Maria agrees to help Trevor before they break ties forever.
But as their bond grows stronger and love ignites, it becomes a rush to save Trevor’s life before they lose out on a future they could only dream of…

This book had interesting main characters and a pretty good plot idea. Of course their baby Camille was all baby cute too. There is plenty of emotions involved here.
Maria has had less than a warm relationship with her mother and father. In fact she readily admits that she has been a disappointment to them. And she has learned to be independent, leading her life the way she wants. So, no help from that part of her family. This is how her contract came about. She’s known Trevor for years. Yes, she’s had a crush on him for years too but she also knows of him as an honorable man.
Trevor seems like a got-it-all together kind of Navy Seal. And he has been up to this point. He’s in a job he’s loved and excelled at. Then everything blew up and when Maria agreed to help him it became clear to him that he really doesn’t have ANYTHING put together. And he’s scrambling to figure things out. And feelings that he wasn’t expecting are starting to get in the way. It makes for a good pulled together and pushed apart romance.
There is plenty of action and some danger as more information begins to form about who really murdered Trevor’s captain and why.
The only negative was that it felt like it concentrated just a bit too much on regrets over the contract that they made. It seemed a bit repetitive and at times dragged the pace of the story down.
Included after the H.E.A. is a quick look into another book called, “The Protective Seal.”

Maria is a single mother and private investigator. A little over a year ago she wanted a baby so she talked Trevor Daniels into giving her a baby and then going back to his SEAL life. Their baby is four months old and Trevor shows up at her door. He’s in trouble and needs her help. He is being accused of killing his captain but in order to prove it, they must work together. What Trevor doesn’t expect is to figure out what he wants more, his career or a family.
Great story with action and sex. A independent woman and a SEAL that loves traveling and protecting his country. No cliffhangers.

Maria was the shy nerdy type growing up. Trevor was always a protector. When Trevor needs protecting he turns to the one person he needs most despite the previous agreement never to contact her again. Spending time together while PI Maria tries to clear Trevor for being accused of murder and spending time getting to know his daughter, long buried feelings surface and come into play. Now they must make an even harder decision and decide if their wants and desires are worth it. Great book, great story, fast read.

Saving the SEAL Baby Daddy is the latest story by Katie Knight and is packed with mystery, intrigue, suspense and romance. A strong plot, excellent world building, and realistic and engaging characters make for a thoroughly enjoyable and edge of your seat read. These fabulous standalone stories have added this author to my “Must Read” list.
This was a book that was enjoyable to read. My only complaint is that almost the entire book led up to an “event” and for my tastes, the buildup was way too long for the actual event. I enjoyed the romance part where Trevor came to the woman asking for help clearing his name because he is being framed for murder. Maria is the same woman who had asked him to father her baby and then not to have any contact after “the dead was done”. Again, I enjoyed this book and I am glad I was given the chance to read and review.

It is an emotionally deep romance that is full of drama, humour, witty banter, suspense, surprises, and intrigue. The connection between Trevor and Marie sweet and undeniable. There is so much drama and suspense that at times I feel like I’m reading a thriller not a romance. The characters are so well written that you can feel sympathy, anger, hope for them as it they arent fictional. I stayed up way too late because I had to see what happened next.

When Trevor came back into Maria’s life to ask her for help, he didn’t expect to have a change in his life plans after the case was solved in the death of his captain. Getting to help her and know his daughter gave him more to think about and what he actually wanted in life and to be happy.

Really enjoyed this story. Trevor and Marie were childhood friends. When Marie decided she wanted a baby. She asked Trevor. At the time he sine a contract to walk away from the baby with no contact. Trevor tried to honor the contract but he’s in trouble and the first person he thought of was Marie. Now she’s helping him to clear his name and in the meantime their attraction has become stronger and Trevor s fatherly instinct and protective mode kicks in. This book is full of mystery, suspence and who done it. I enjoyed watching those two fall in love. Now Trevor has to make a choice as to what team he wants to be a part of.

Saving the Seal Baby Daddy by Katie Knight and Leslie North is a contemporary story of a Seal under suspicion of murder for killing his captain while on a mission in Afghanistan. He has returned home, not yet charged, and called on the person he knows will be able to help him: Maria Blanchard, and childhood friend, a private investigator, and, in a not related matter, the mother of his daughter, Camille. Trevor Daniels has an uneasy relationship with his family and had signed a contract saying he would have no contact with Maria or Camille, but he knew she could help him. And, of course, she agreed. He checked out of his parents’ home into a small, rent-by-the-week apartment, which lasted one day until someone broke in and trashed the place. Out of concern, Maria offered him her couch. Can they find the evidence that will clear him?
Saving the Seal Baby Daddy is a good story, with an interesting, almost believable plot. There are red herrings and subplots aplenty with both the investigation and Maria and Trevor’s situation. There are some extremely funny parts, especially between Camille and Trevor and dirty diapers and formula. Knight writes a good story. A read can never go wrong choosing her book. She has good pacing and writes and interesting story; her characters are believable and interesting. There is generally a happy ending. I recommend it.
I received a free ARC of Saving the Seal Baby Daddy in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Loved this SEAL romance! Maria wants a baby and she wants her childhood friend and Navy SEAL, Trevor, to be her baby daddy. He agrees and they draw up a contract about contact, etc. All is fine until Trevor is framed for a crime he didn’t commit. The first person he turns to for help is Maria. Despite their contract, neither has moved on from the time they spent together a year ago. Can their hearts survive this, can they survive the danger that is coming for them? No spoilers, you’ll have to read every sweet, sexy, drama filled page to find out!
