Each book in this series has been amazing, and just keep getting better & better in the feels department. The Score ripped my heart out a little in an unexpected way. But Dean & Allie also gave me so many laughs, and warm fuzzies, and their growth as individuals & a couple was perfectly showcased. I did NOT like how their relationship started out. I got it, but I didn’t like it. But then I felt like I was growing w/ them, w/ their relationship… Yeah. Just two thumbs up & I’m very excited about book 4!!! : )
Why oh why did I wait sooooo long to read this?!
I loved it.
I love Dean and Allie.
I want more.
I can’t wait for Tucker’s book!
Another wonderful addition to the Off-Campus series. These hockey guys start to get deeper under my skin and i have no intention to pull them out. I simply love them.
After we met Garrett and Logan on The Deal and The Mistake respectively, now we meet Dean DiLaurentis – the last name screams Pretty Little Liars or is it just me? -, one of the four hockey players of Briar University that share that famous house off-campus. And just a reminder for the future, the forth book of this series The Goal, is released soon and that tells the story of the forth, Tucker’s. Just keep it in mind because it may surpass all the others But let’s get back to Dean.
For those who already have read the other two, you will probably already know that Dean is the most playful and girl-conqueror of them all. But as hot hot hawt hawt as the others. Also, he’s about to change not only tactics but his whole self when Allie Hayes enters his life for good. Allie is Hannah’s – Garrett’s girlfriend – best friend and roomate and who is in a great need: she doesn’t want to be in her room alone with her phone for the weekend. So, she is sent to the guys’s house whose Tuck and Dean are the weekend’s only residents. But she finds only Dean there under some very hilarious cirmcumstances. And that night is when everything starts!
Every encounter of theirs is even more amazing that the other. Starting from funny and ending on romantic. But what it’s trully amazing about them is, that each one, as their relationship evolutes, plays an important role on the change of their course: instead of going on opposite directions, they start direct themselves towards each other. Time after time, they overpass a fear of theirs or change the way they viewed their lives because they have each other’s impact. It is a very fascinating thing to read.
Elle Kennedy wrote another wonderful story about these hockey players which, practically, means that she made it impossible for me to choose who I love most. It is a really hard decision that still has to be made. Probably in the very far far future.
And GOOD GOD, Elle! Are you trying to kill me? That spoiler for Tucker’s story is monumental! And so much breathtaking! How am I supposed to wait patiently after THAT?? Please, h u r r y…….. :p
This is a book with fun and silly — though the characters did get a chance to grow.
There wasn’t a lot that was too serious (until closer to the end).
I loved the “no-slut-shame” theme for the girls and boys.
This felt like a fun book with heart and real characters.
This was absolutely incredible! I never thought I’d like Dean DiLaurentis. I mean, he was the ultimate playboy among all of the players in the hockey team, the master of sexcapades, relationship-phobic, but damn, this guy easily turned me on! Didn’t realize a guy as conceited as him could go all softy and mushy and makes me want to hug him like a baby. Seriously. My friends have forewarned me about Dean, but I never expected his story to be like this. Intense, sweet, funny, super duper sexy. And oh, by the way, his stalkerish yet concerned text messages to Allie were my favorite. He’s so adorable. Awww…
And Allie Cat… oh gosh, she surprised me. I knew from the start that Hannah’s room mate was something wild, but when I, the unsuspecting reader delved deeper into her character, I was blown away. Her wildness could put Anastasia Steele to shame.
I don’t know how Elle Kennedy does it. Everytime I first encounter her male characters, pure loathing is what I feel for them. But when you get to know them better, deeper, harder… all my first impressions fail me. Only Kennedy does that to me. She hits the score in this book, 100 and 1 percent. No wonder among all the books in the Off-Campus series, The Score gets the perfect score from me – 5 stars!!
