It was the BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ in my life
Agatha, Sophie, Tedros and the whole gang are now in their 4th year and they have all been assigned their own quests. Sophie is the School for Evil dean and Tedros and Agatha are headed back to Camelot. These new quests make staying connected with each other hard, but when trouble starts to brew for Tedros everyone comes together to help, good and evil. The story line is great (The Lion and the Snake) and the characters haven’t changed much. Especially Sophie, the character I have a love/hate relationship with. There are some surprising deaths and a somewhat surprise at the end. I say “somewhat” because I really didn’t see it coming, but I knew something wasn’t right. A new first year is introduced, Nicola, and she is assigned to the Quest to save Camelot. She’s a great character. Smart and perceptive. The book ends on a cliff hanger which is going to make the wait for the next book very hard, but I’m sure it will be worth it.
One of my personal favorites
It’s Quests for GLORY of course it’s my favorite in the series!
I think there should be a fifth book. I could read about this world forever.
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK I LOVEIT SO MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4.25 stars
This is a solid start for the second trilogy of SGE and I enjoyed my ride with it, but it wasn’t as epic as Book 3 which I understand because it is a buildup for the sequel.
There were many things going on in this book. There was drama (A LOT of drama), action, comedy, and so many twist and turns which I did not expect at all (despite the hints being obvious on one of them) because I like to go into books not theorizing anything, especially with Soman because you never know what he might do and that’s what I love about this series!!!
I recommend going into this book not knowing anything about what the plot is about because you will get the full experience by doing so and that was a such a treat!!!
Tagatha is still my favorite ship in this book and I’m so worried what will happen to them, especially what happened by the end of the book where the biggest cliffhanger of all have me VERY nervous.
We get multiple POVs in this book which I really liked. Other than Sophie and Agatha’s, we also got Tedros, Hort, The Coven, Chaddick and Nicola (a new member of the group). There were also new characters we get introduced which I found interesting (but I felt it’s very random at first) and they are Nicola and Rhian.
Now let’s first talk about Nicola. What I like about her is that she is a reader and the way she uses her intelligence to save her crew members, and her backstory breaks my heart and I hope she gets her happy ending, but despite that I can’t connect or vibe to her that much and she isn’t a new favorite. The pairing of her and Hort felt very random but also cute and me being a Hophie shipper for so long don’t know who to choose anymore. But as long as Hort is happy then I’m also happy.
Rhian is another character that just randomly came into the story and also randomly paired up with Sophie. Despite that, they were KIND of cute but I didn’t know what to think about them until I reached the end of the story. I really do hope Sophie gets her happy ending (she has been through a lot).
Speaking of Sophie, she grew a lot as a character and me hating her for so long in the last three books, this was such a pleasant thing to read. I enjoyed her chapters and love her embracing her true self for the greater good. Lady Lesso would have been so proud but let’s not go there.
Agatha is still by far my favorite character and in this book we get to see her struggles of being the next queen of Camelot and my heart really aches for her and more so, in addition to worry, in that final part of the book. My baby girl better be alright Soman or I’m gonna riot!!!!!
Tedros was also a joy to read from. We also see him struggle as a king and what I really appreciated about his character is that he makes mistakes and not suddenly becoming the legendary king after returning to Camelot. There are so many issues that needs to be resolved and that needs a lot of time!!!
Hort, my poor baby Hort, was such a joy and heartbreaking POV to read from because of his feelings for Sophie but then Nicola came and I guess he is about to have his happy ending? I need him to get his happy ending because, like Sophie, he has been through a lot!!!!
The Coven’s POV, aka Hester, Anadil, and Dot, was just so fun (and hilarious) to read. It’s basically the classic trio that you know you will enjoy whenever or wherever they are in the story. But also, their friendship was stronger in this book because of a certain scene that just warmed my heart.
And of course (without spoilers), Classic Soman has to kill off characters and my heart just ached for their deaths. I am dreading who is next in the upcoming books…..
That cliffhanger was so unexpected and I applaud the readers who had to wait a year for the next book because I sure am not gonna wait patiently. Thank God Book 5 is already out and book 6 is coming very soon when this review is up!!!!
All in all, I really enjoyed getting back into this world for the sake of nostalgia and it’s one of my favorite series of all time!!! I’m so looking forward to what will happen next and VERY nervous!!!’
Great book! I can’t wait till the 5th book comes out! SPOILER ALERT: Ends with a cliffhanger! /:
