This is the sequel to the Scars of you and continues. This book also got a range of emotions out of me. Anger, frustration, happiness and love.
Rachael Tonks, wrote a fantastic dark series with these 2 books I am curious to read more of her.
“I’m not going to be a victim anymore. No, I will fight anyone who stands in the way of us. Our perfect love. Our unbreakable connection. We are two broken pieces that fit so perfectly together to make the most amazing perfect whole.”
Heart pounding, completely breathtaking suspense, action, and a couple’s fight to be together against all odds. I sat glued and entranced by the conclusion of Brax and Izzy. What a wild ride!!
“Two broken, damaged souls fused together as one. We healed the scars-The scars of us.”
Their love shines bright like a beacon, holding me transfixed as they battled their demons together. The secrets revealed in this one will blow you away. The end was completely and utterly satisfying, and the perfect conclusion to this couple’s story!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!

The perfect conclusion to a suspense duet series that will have you at the edge of your seat, not knowing what to expect next! You’ll want to hold onto your hats ‘cuz you don’t know what’s coming… and it will blow your mind!
Isabelle has been captured again and has been separated from the one person she has always loved. Not knowing he’s dead or alive, she’ll have to find a way to find the strength within herself and escape the hell she’s in.
Brax is holding on with a thread and the one he thought would be there for him, isn’t and he’ll do whatever it takes to get the love of his life back. It doesn’t go without harm and with enemies even closer than he thought and making new allies, he’ll do whatever he can to get Isabelle out…
This is the conclusion of the story, and you really must read the first book to understand the story arc. Well edited. Only real bothersome thing was mistakenly referring to Braxton’s eyes as hazel when they are always described as green. One of the main bad guy’s eyes were hazel and he was definitely NOT Braxton!
At the end of the previous book, Isabella is once again in the clutches of a psychopath and Braxton is fighting for his life. It takes Braxton a couple of weeks to recover, and in this time, he cannot figure out why his crime partner won’t help rescue Isabelle. After the first week, he leaves Carter’s care and strikes a deal with the Savage MC to help retrieve Isabelle. Meanwhile, Isabelle fights as much as possible to retain both her life and her sanity. When she see an opportunity to strike back and flee, she takes it – running right into Braxton’s rescue effort. It finally looks like all will be well, but there are more secrets and another villain. Will Braxton be in time to save Isabelle once again? Will they ever be free to live and love?
This was a pretty satisfying end to the story. Braxton and Isabelle never gave up on each other. Isabelle handled her trauma and captivities fairly well. She knew she had things to work on, but she was determined to not let the past stop her from having the future with Braxton she was meant to have.
