I hope that these series don’t end…like ever.
Whit each book comes more heartbreaking stories. Characters have to fight for their better life more than ever.
This stories, all of them are so emotional heartbreaking and with so strong woman that i am just so impressed and in love with this series.
In this book, Natalie will tell you her story.
How can being down, alone and with no one to help take to to the dangerous places.
But when people start to enter her life and offering her help, she is afraid. Afraid to open up and let people in.
You need to start this series. I love it so much. Hoping that this author has more books planned in this series.
I love Natalie! She becomes such a strong person in this book! What she has gone through could have broken her but she thrives. Ritchie frustrated me throughout this book. He could have done many things differently and yet Natalie and Richie work well together. I really enjoyed that Natalie is the focus of the book, not the romance. Good job
Natalie and Richie
I swear every book gets better than the last. I love Natalie. The young girl just trying to make it when life is hard. Her willingness to forgive Richie is hard to except but also it is what makes this such a good read. Because you want to hate him for disappearing but you also see how much she loves him from the moment she meets him.
Richie just needs to get his shit together from page one. And I’m glad that he finally does.
Looking forward to more from K.L!!
What a heartbreaking read this was, Nat is one of the strongest women I’ve read about. She goes thru so much and is able to turn her life around. The friends she made that turned into family just made the story so much better. I’m not gonna go thru to much detail because I don’t want to ruin it. But if one person needs a hea it is definitely this girl.
I love this entire series, all of these girls are amazing to read about
Natalie and Richy will have you in tears from beginning to end. Amazing read of highs and lows and a whole of downs and some ups. With each word you read the pull you in more…. its heartbreakinglly beautiful read that will having you get mad at some of things Richy does and falling for Natalie and wanting to try and help her.can’t wait to read more from her
Each of the books in this standalone series have rocked me to the core. These working girls have been through hell and not only survived but rose out of their situation. At the age of ten her mother died suddenly leaving her unknowingly in the hands of a monster. By the second time Pen walks onto the scene she has almost been consumed by her life on the streets. Nothing came easy for her and there was no hope of life changing until she says yes to Pen. The stories in this series are so freaking real. You feel the pain and fear, the uncertainty, the strength and determination to survive, no bump that to succeed and they do. They celebrate each others success, cry over each other’s hardships, they are family. They have a special bond and a love that can’t be denied. They are proof that you can choose your family. You can rise out of the ashes. You can love and be loved. You can heal and wear the scars of your life with pride. It’s an emotional read so grab your hankies, roll of tp, kleenex and your bottle and/or glass because you are going to need it.
My Review is letters I wrote to the two new main characters in the Working Girls Series. (WINK)
Dear Natalie,
I love you girl. Your resiliency is so impressive. Your ability to not only power on through loss but run from abuse fills my heart with pride. I understand your shame because of what was done to you and the life choices you have made to survive but I don’t care cause YOU ARE AWESOME.
In this story you find your tribe who teach you to love yourself again and who have your back. Ugh so good. I fall in love with your munchkin as do you. LOVE IT!
Thanks for taking me on your journey. Everyone needs to experience this telling!
Your favorite CaliGal (haha)
Dear Richie,
Ugh I wasn’t sure about you in Jess story (my fav) and it took me a while to understand you in this book. At times you were the definition of selfish.
You taught me something in this read. It really isn’t about starting out with a perfect guy. Relationships are work and life gets in the way as do hard choices.
As your story is revealed I become a little less judgmental but I still hurt for you all because you lost out as did others due to your choices.
Thanks for listening. Forgiveness truly is a road you take not a destination and Natalie demonstrated that well.
Blessings to you and yours,
One of the CaliGals
KL Humphrey thanks for writing amazing women who are true survivors and have intriguing stories to tell. You write men whose missteps are visible and take you are a wild ride of emotions. They typically have to grow on me. LOL! Eek! It is definitely a process falling in love with them. Yep a big dose of what I see as reality in this series. SO GOOD!
Amazing 4.5 star story. Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO
I really liked this book. It was about lust, love and hope. I thought this book was written very well. The characters had amazing chemistry.
this was a really great book! a little rushed at first. she has had a hard life and does what she can to survive. than she has a way out. now she meets him. things are going great until he up and leaves. now hes back. read to find out what happens.
This is the fourth book in the series. Natalie and Richie’s story, Ihad me on an emotional rollercoaster. I loved Natalie from the beginning. She was strong, independent, but had a horrific childhood. Richie was always making sacrifices for loved ones, but hurt the girl he loved twice. I was really routing for Natalie and Richie. This is a must read.
Natalie and Richie’s story has a tumultuous start. The emotions jump off the page from both of them. This book was hard to put down. A must read.
In the Working GIrls books, KL Humphreys writes about women that overcome the odds, and Natalie is definitely one of those women. Her compassion and courage are so well captured, and she is the character that makes this book. Her relationship with Richie and his behaviour make you want to smack him senseless for a while – and that is the sign of strong writing because the characters become people. The end of the book made my heart sing too. This is a worthy fourth book in this series!
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
Natalie has overcome so much in her life and she is stronger for it. She learns to grow from it and not let it affect her because in the end it was not her fault. Richie has his own hurts and faults and they both take you on a journey of forgiveness, redemption, and love. These are strong characters that suck you in page by page.
Lord I don’t know what to say!
It took me a bit to get Into it as I have read the previous 3 books in this series and remembered snippets as I went but I got there!
Richie really is an asshole, Nat is beautiful and their love story is so real life it hurts.
Be prepared for tears, anger and frustration.
Beautiful!
This book will hit you right in the heart. There were times the emotions were so strong that my chest hurt. And I loved seeing Richie get his story. Do not miss!!
