ROX
Everyone thinks they know my story now, but they know nothing.
All I want is to blend into the background.
To become invisible like I once was.
Like I prefer.
Harley is my only salvation in dealing with the backlash my father cultivated.
That is until I’m offered something I can’t turn down.
Something that has me questioning everything I was taught to be.
Something that could cost me … down.
Something that has me questioning everything I was taught to be.
Something that could cost me Harley forever.
WRAN
Possessive. Impulsive. A hothead.
Everyone thinks they know my story. For the most part, they do. I’m all those things and more.
And that’s exactly how I like it.
It worked for me in the past. It kept people from diving in too deep.
But I can’t go on like this anymore.
I can’t keep hurting the one girl that has been my rock.
I need help.
Or I’m going to lose her forever.

The Saved and the Sorry by T. Marie Alexander is the second book in the series. Do not, I repeat, Do not read out of order. The book picks up right where the last one ended. Which is great if you read back to back. But I didn’t do that since I had received the first as an ARC as well. I think you should read back to back if at all possible. You will be lost momentarily.
As you guessed this one has the same characters as the first book. Yet, Cade has more of a role in this book. You will find yourself on team Cade or team Wran. I am team Wran. I don’t like Cade. Cade is like the lost puppy that won’t leave you alone, even if you don’t feed it! Rox and Wran blow up and Wran leaves to get help just like she wanted. Cade takes advantage and wants all of Rox’s attention and her love. I hate it! Rox has to choose between them. Who will she choose? Who will her heart want? Will she get her daughter back? Will she have her family like she’s always wanted?
T. Marie Alexander did a great job on the character’s personalities. I found myself getting aggravated even though they are just fictional characters.

Like the first book in this story, there is a lot going on and it has quite a suspense lead plot. Rox has just laid her father to rest and her relationship with Wran is still toxic. The shining light in her life is Harley but there are complications that she is getting growlingly frustrated with.
Wran has a lot of personal things going on and before he can truly fix things with Rox he needs to sort himself out. If he wants to permanently be with her and be a family, he has a lot of issues to work through.
This instalment is really more about Rox and her best friend Cade. Cade has made no secret about how much he wants to be with Rox, he is in love with her and thinks she can do better than Wran. Cade knows he can give her the life she deserves but if the love isn’t reciprocal is that enough?
Josh has always been there for Rox and Harley so when the goal posts get shifted once again he decides to take matters into his own hands and see what he can do to help Rox. This includes stepping in when Wran can’t seem to make the right choices. Wran reluctantly accepts his brother’s help, if it means he has a future with Rox.
As Rox struggles with her feelings for both Cade and Wran, someone begins leaving messages for her. She feels like she is being followed but also knows with everything else going on in her life she may be seeing things that aren’t there. If only she had trusted her instincts….
Yes, all hell breaks loose and things get a bit crazy. At times I got frustrated with Rox’s behaviour and then I had to remind myself that she was 17 years old. I expected this to be the conclusion to Wran and Rox’s story but there is another book to come and that will bring things back full circle – hopefully giving them the future they desperately want.
~3.5 Star Review~
We are back and I am still webbed in the circle of three. Even though I have come to love these characters, the story line with book two threw me off slightly. I felt as we were stuck on the character growth a tad. I was rushing to get to the part that I knew was going to slay it like the first book did for me. It came, but it took a bit of a slow burn to really get the heart pumping and the angst of what will happen next come to light.
I still love our characters, I sometimes would get frustrated with their decisions, but knew we would get more soon. There was a lot of back of forth with decisions that needed to be made. I expected that we would not get the final conclusion as there will be a third book. That is the one that I eagerly waiting for as there will be some new directions that these characters will make. Until the next book!

All I can say is prepare yourself for a roller coaster ride of emotions! Wran and Rox have endured so much and the punches just keep coming. I need to know what will happen next. The Saved And The Sorry by T. Marie Alexander is a MUST read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!
Rox and Wran have been through tons in their short lives and it’s not over yet. After Wran saves Rox from her father they both have to come to terms with what happened. Wran goes down a deep dark hole and keeps hurting everyone he loves and Rox even more than most. Now he has to decide if he’s going to get help or keep hurting himself and others. Rox only wants Harley in her life and to keep her safe. But her past keeps finding ways to through things our of balance.
