In this standalone holiday novella, USA Today bestselling author Tess Thompson weaves a tale of winter wonder for two lonely hearts at the expense of a common criminal who just might be the real Santa Claus.Neither Ryan nor Rena is thrilled to be called for jury duty. He’s a widower with a small daughter who needs him. She’s a struggling single woman who can’t afford to miss a day’s pay. But when … miss a day’s pay. But when the two spot each other across the courtroom, suddenly jury duty doesn’t seem like such a burden after all.
Together with their fellow jurors, they must decide the fate of a defendant who believes that he’s Santa. It’s a seemingly unromantic task for two infatuated strangers, but love could find a way with a little help from the magic of Christmas.
Like a stocking stuffed with all the special treats of the season, this novella is as sweet as sugar plums and as satisfying as a batch of cookies fresh from the oven.

Short and sweet, this holiday novella has a few twists you won’t see coming. You’ll enjoy the mysteries and blessings this holiday book encompasses.
This is a quick read guaranteed to bring a smile and maybe some happy tears. It begins with a little girl’s letter to Santa asking for someone for her dad. You can read the synopsis, so I won’t repeat it here except to say the characters have you rooting for them to make a little girl’s wish come true.
A seven year old girl sends Santa her one item list: a new wife for her lonely father. Soon afterwards, her successful dad finds himself on a jury for a trial where the defendant is a “dead ringer” for Santa. Another juror is an attractive young woman, struggling to make ends meet. It’s a warm, wonderful HEA read.
Beautiful Romance!
I believe in miracles! Most definitely!
When you read this truly beautiful, Christmassy romance you will know exactly why I made that statement.
Sometimes you just have to open the door, just a little bit for one to come sailing in.
I believe this is one of the nicest seasonal stories I have read yet. It is full of hope, has 3 well formed and very likable main characters and the story is just perfectly well rounded and totally entertaining.
I, for one, most definitely want to read more by this author and hope you will feel that way too.
I received this book as a gift and I have written my voluntary review based on my thoughts after completing it.
