DELANEY
Cruel.
Heartless.
A mistake waiting to happen.
Knox Vaughn is the epitome of a bad boy.
He’s trouble in a sexy-as-sin package.
I know it.
They know it.
Even he knows it.
But, it’s like a moth to the flame.
I can’t stay away—even though I’m going to get burned.
You know what they say,
The sinners are much more fun.
And this saint is changing the game.
KNOX
… game.
KNOX
Sweet.
Innocent.
Valedictorian.
Delaney Callahan is perfect,
Too perfect for me.
Hell, she’s too perfect for anyone.
She’s an angel,
But with me, she’s playing with the devil.
I’m the last thing a woman like her needs.
And yet, I can’t keep my hands—and mouth off of her.
We’re from two different worlds,
Worlds that can’t possibly work.
I’d do anything for her,
But I can’t be the SAINT she deserves.
THE SAINT is a standalone and part of the Haven Grace Prep series. It contains angst, violence, and scenes that may be triggering for some readers. If you’re looking for a sweet love story, this may not be for you.

So I started to read Kelsey Clayton yday with book 1 in the Haven Grace Prep series and after meeting bad boy Knox I just knew I needed to get into his book asap.
And wow I absolutely loved him… im a sucker a bad boy and wow the way he melts into mush when it comes to Delaney it absolutely makes me icy heart happy!!!!
Delaney and Knox couldn’t be more polar opposites when it comes to life.. one rich/one poor.. one bad/one couldn’t get more good if she tried.. one loud/one quiet… but bam put these together and watch their good points rub off on the other and you get a fast paced drama filled fantastic read!
I devoured this in one sitting as couldn’t put it down!!
Downloaded book 3 to start asap too!
Love love love Knox & Delaney!! They had such an organic relationship that really went from almost enemy’s to lovers. They were both so good for each other even if they didn’t want to be! Love this writer & cant wait for the next book!!
Took me a while to get into this book. It sort of fell flat for me but maybe that’s because I started this immediately after the first book. However, I pushed through and things definitely picked up halfway through. I love this world and I LOVED Knox!
Highlight
I think I have highlighted my passages in this book than any before!!
I seriously can’t get enough of this crew. All of them have me feigning for more and more.
Delaney is legit a Saint to deal with everything Knox Vaughn. But she handles him so perfectly. They are so made for each other. These two characters are every nerdy girls dream!! Their pull is so strong to each other. Just couldn’t get enough!!
I am so in love with this book! Every book I read by Kelsey Clayton just gets better and better. She is killing me with this world. The characters are so interesting. I need to know more about all of them. The plot was fast-paced and well-developed. I need so much more from this author!
You know when you love the first book in a series and just think to yourself you can’t possibly love the next installments as much/more? Well, foot meet mouth.
After falling in the with the first book and being introduced to Knox *INTERNAL SQUEAL* and Delaney, I knew I needed everything them in my life. I absolutely adore the two of them. Did I mention I’m in love with Knox? Because it’s the truth.
Read this. You don’t even realize how much you need it.
The Saint is the second book in the Haven Grace Prep series. I really enjoyed the first book, and was very excited to read this one! The Saint features Delaney and Knox. I would suggest you read The Sinner first as the two characters are brought up in the first book, and a lot of characters from the first book show up in this book.
Delaney is a good girl, who stays out of trouble. She goes to a private school. She is in the running for valedictorian. Her twin sister Tessa is the complete opposite of her. She is dating a guy who is friends with Knox. Delaney starts hanging out with Tessa and her friends and meets Knox. Know is the bad boy from the other side of town. He goes to the public school across the road from the private school.
Knox tries to tell Delaney to stay away from him. However feelings are mutual and they start seeing each other. Obviously things have to happen for it to be a good book. I couldn’t put the book down. I wanted to keep reading to see what happened.
I really liked this book and can not wait for the next one in the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved Knox and Laney’s story! It was a great twist on the traditional good girl, bad boy romance. This swoon worthy story gives you all the feels anger, happiness, sadness, and some angst. Definitely a great read and my favorite so far in the series!
Do you want to know what my crack is? Knox, Knox is my crack.
Like straight up swoon, I wanna have your babies, crack.
Like why can’t you be real, crack.
I read 1 chapter, before life got in the way. I sat down and read 70% of the book. The ONLY REASON I didn’t finish right then and there was that my daddy was visiting.
The last 10% had my heart aching, racing, and swooning. Knox and Laney are perfection. This book shows how two people who couldn’t be more different are EXACTLY what the other needs.
If you are expecting more of Grayson and Savi, you won’t get that here. But what you do get is just about perfect.
I just wish that we can see these two couples down the road and where their lives have taken them.
Have I told you yet how much I loved this book? No? Silly me! I FREAKIN LOVED IT!
4.5 Stars!!!
I love how Kelsey can bring a story to life. Knox is your typical bad boy and Laney is the Angelic goody girl.
This story had just enough of both sides to keep me intrigued and not being able to put this book down.
Knoxs love for Laney is pure and aggressive in a way that I fell in love with instantly. Being the second story in this series I can not wait to see what is in store for the rest of the group!!!!
Another amazing book!! After reading The Sinner I was eager to read this book and for a very good reason, it was just as good as the first. It was angsty and exciting, with enough twist & turns to keep me turning the pages. Was hooked from page 1!
The Saint by Kelsey Clayton packs a mean punch of angst and hits you right from page 1. It is an action packed read, with lots of twists and turns. In the middle of it all, our two MCs, Knox and Delaney, are stalwart and strong. If you are looking for a book full of action-packed drama, lots of emotion, dynamic characters, and new adult problems, this should satisfy your craving! 5 Entertaining Stars!
Loved this book! The interactions between Knox and Delaney are fantastic, you can see how she subtly influences changes in Knox, and how in turn he wants to protect her as she’s come to be a most important in his life. Loved how they balanced each other and had each other’s backs, although I was a bit worried about the potential fallout that could have had a negative impact on them, but I was happy how everything turned out for them.
Omigodness, this author just keeps getting better for me! I was so excited when I found out Delaney and Knox had the focus of the next story- Laney’s sweet soul called to me in book one- she had a gentleness and a fierceness that I found endearing. And Know- yummy, tattooed bad boy is my FAVORITE flavor book boyfriends- he was a delicious enigma in book one that I wanted to know more about. I secretly hoped that the New Year’s Party scene was foreshadowing to this pairing, and I’m so glad I was right.
This story did NOT disappoint and delivers on one of my favorite romance tropes- the good girl and the bad boy. Knox is the quintessential bad boy- we saw glimmers of his entanglements in book 1, and this time we dive into what is truly happening with Knox and his motivations- which helps us reconcile the protective streak we saw in him in book 1 (and really see played out here) with his darker dealings. He’s sexy as hell- possessive, alpha, and protective. And Delaney is your classic good girl- smart, sweet, gentle, innocent, and kind. Their chemistry SPARKS- the angst, the longing, the connection, the emotion, the classic Kelsey STEAM (i’ll say it again- this girl can write some delicious steam)
As our story evolves we see these two characters grow together as they grow as individuals. Knox wants to protect Delaney, especially from himself, and struggles to deal with his draw and soul shattering need for her with his feelings of unworthiness. And Delaney is just trying to set her real self free after years of coloring inside the lines. They are perfectly matched- the match to light the fire within each of them as well as the balm that each needs to soothe the burn of that inferno. I love how they fight their way to each other in their own way, how they break one another’s walls down and replace it with the earth shattering center- a belonging TO and WITH someone else. A center that helps them shatter the narratives they’re trapped in and repaints the pathway for them.
And, we get to revisit some of our other characters that I feel in love with in book 1 and get some great page turning action and twists, too. This book was a one-sit read for me- I couldn’t put it down. Thank you for this opposites attract, coming into your own, emotional journey- I’m totally in love with Knox and Delaney.
“My face splits into a wide grin. “Jesus Christ. Corruption looks so fucking good on you.”
Ready for this book? The story of Knox and Delaney looks like a train wreck about to happen. You know the end result, but you can’t help it.
Second book in the Haven Grace Prep series, it is more intense than the previous one, with more drama, problems, danger, drugs, tension and romance. Despite being controversial, it is wonderful. And if you love a bad boy, Knox certainly lives up to the title.
Delaney is the good girl. Rich, polite, discreet, shy, studious, focused on being valedictorian and going to college. The opposite of her twin sister, Tessa.
Knox does not have an easy life. He is certainly not rich, his grades are terrible, his use of illegal substances is questionable, confusion is his surname and what he and Grayson did in the previous book will come back to haunt them and put them both in danger.
Two opposing people. A street dividing two rival schools, one private and one public. On the one hand, the wealthy class. On the other, people on the margins of society. And such an attraction that neither the initial fights nor a bet will be able to extinguish. Knox is someone to stay away from. But the “good girl” hides an alter ego crazy about adventures.
And that explosive relationship will face obstacles, from her father to a more dangerous and totally unexpected figure.
Dark, the book shows these two characters as they really are, without flourishing or seeking redemption. Despite all the controversy, it is impossible not to root for them, not to sympathize with Knox, as it is also possible to understand the attitude of Delaney’s father.
Knox is not the perfect guy. But she loves Delaney and she loves him. Just as she is not as innocent as everyone thought. She knows how to discern right and wrong and is smart enough to know the weight of her choices.
I loved the book, perhaps more than the first, the couple is the guiding thread of the entire narrative. The mystery and the great secret add tension and an air of suspense. The final part has a faster pace, with more adrenaline.
Tessa is also interesting and her story, in the next book, arouses my curiosity. A dark, well-written and very good novel.
I loved this one! I complained in the previous book, The Sinner, that the pace was slow and it snagged at one point. Well, this one sure didn’t! It kept a very nice pace (very important to me!) and kept getting more and more complicated until the stunning conclusion and feverishly awaited HEA. I was in YA heaven!
Knox Vaughn is everything I expect in a high school bad boy. Gorgeous, irreverent, answers to no one. He has a juvenile record of misdemeanors, a past childhood with a negligent mother, and a group of misfit friends just like him. They make wild weekly parties where the beer, pot and sex abound. His life is set just how he likes it, and this is his life. A complete opposite of Delaney’s life.
Delaney Callahan is one of twin girls. Her twin Tessa is the wild one, Laney is the good girl. Good grades, doesn’t cuss, is sure to be chosen Valedictorian in their upcoming high school graduation. Except, she’s feeling hemmed in by rules and expectations, and has an inkling to break out of her mold. Her father is all the time fighting Tessa for her wild ways, sneaking in drunk on school nights, and not caring about her parents’ rules. She’s unrepentantly wild. In spite of her crazy ways, she loves her sister and they are good friends.
Now, there are two schools in North Haven: North Haven High, where Knox and his friends go to, and Haven Grace Prep, the private one where the trust-fund kids attend. Delaney, her sister and friends, attend Haven Grace Prep. There’s strong rivalry between the schools (of course!) and more so between the football teams. The quarterbacks are Grayson (The Sinner) in Haven Grace Prep and Knox (The Saint) in North Haven High.
Tessa is going out with Easton, one of the guys in Knox’s clique. It all starts when Tessa insists on bringing Delaney to one of the parties with Easton’s crowd. Initially Delaney was uncomfortable with the stink of cigarettes, pot and booze, plus all the couples making out. She goes to hide in a room and finds Knox there smoking. He calls her out on her innocence and she scrams from the place. Not without first having a close encounter with Knox and getting fried with hormones and lust.
Knox is very attracted to Delaney, precisely for her innocence. She’s very different from what he’s always had and he’s intrigued. As they meet more, because now Delaney hangs out with Tessa more, both find out more stuff that bring them together. I loved the slow burn that gets them closer, all their texting and sharing time before it all got sexual. Delaney found a vent for her desire to step out of her rut and Knox was increasingly enthralled by this girl who was so different. They were both painfully aware that Delaney was leaving for college after graduation, and although they tried to keep it casual, feelings were soon involved.
It was a hoot to see Knox tamed by a goody-two-shoes girl!
Both Gray and Knox got involved in something dark and sinister. They are trapped in a situation and there seems to be no way out. It gets increasingly difficult and dangerous and when they try to get out, their girlfriends are threatened. I was stumped, I couldn’t see a way out but the author was brilliant and surprised me. This gave this book a very nice nail-biting worry and spiced up my reading.
Nicely convoluted, beautiful love story between the rich, innocent girl and the bad boy with hidden depths. From the precious book, I could tell that Knox was a decent guy, just a product of his circumstances. In this book, he rose above and beyond, all for the love of a great girl. Bravo!
The Saint by Kelsey Clayton
What an amazing follow up to The Sinner! These Haven Grace Prep books have drawn me in and I don’t think I could ever have enough of them
Knox is the ultimate bad boy who’s falling for the good girl. He thinks he could never be good enough for her, but his heart is definitely not on board with that idea.
Delaney is the good girl on track to be valedictorian. Despite all the warnings she finds herself drawn to Knox and can’t keep herself from falling into his world.
I loved this from start to finish. There is definitely some edge of your seat moments where there is no chance of putting this one down – who needs to adult anyway? My favourite read so far this year.
4.5 Bambi Stars!!
After having read The Sinner I couldn’t wait for the next Haven Grace Prep book! I was so happy to pick this one up and I got into it from the get go! From that point on, I didn’t want to turn away from my kindle! I had to read it all it one sitting. I loved this story!
Knox and Delaney’s journey was a memorable one from beginning to end! From their conversations to the blushworthy moments, and everything in between, I loved how these two made me feel it all with them throughout!
There was more to Knox than meets the eye and as I kept on reading the harder I fell for him. I adored Delaney’s heart and determination. With every chapter I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next with them!
I so enjoyed what the other characters brought to the story as well!
With The Saint, Ms.Clayton has created such an addictive read! I’m still thinking about this book and it’s characters! I am so excited for the next Haven Grace Prep book!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
Another fabulous read from this author. I absolutely love this series and couldn’t wait to read Delaney and Knox’s story. These two will have keep you engrossed from the very first page, I couldn’t put it down.
Highly recommended!
She’s the good girl. The one with the good grades and perfect innocence.
He’s the ultimate bad boy with a rap sheet as long as your arm and a noose above his head.
What could they possibly have in common….
Oh my gosh I could sing and dance around the room like a loon!
This is the second book in the haven prep series, but each acts as an interconnected standalone.
I looooved the first book “The Sinner ” with a passion and I knew that this book would be just as good if not better and I was right!!
I feel as high as a kite with excitement, love and adrenaline what a read!!
There’s never a dull moment. So much drama and vengeance and I for one couldn’t devour the words quick enough.
I was utterly addicted to Knox and how unpredictable he is. The bad boy image does it for me everytime!
Delaney is sweet until him, and then shes simply amazing.
This is one series everyone needs to read. You are guaranteed to sigh, swoon and swear at your reading device. What a perfect end to a long day!
