DELANEY
Cruel.
Heartless.
A mistake waiting to happen.
Knox Vaughn is the epitome of a bad boy.
He’s trouble in a sexy-as-sin package.
I know it.
They know it.
Even he knows it.
But, it’s like a moth to the flame.
I can’t stay away—even though I’m going to get burned.
You know what they say,
The sinners are much more fun.
And this saint is changing the game.
KNOX
… game.
KNOX
Sweet.
Innocent.
Valedictorian.
Delaney Callahan is perfect,
Too perfect for me.
Hell, she’s too perfect for anyone.
She’s an angel,
But with me, she’s playing with the devil.
I’m the last thing a woman like her needs.
And yet, I can’t keep my hands—and mouth off of her.
We’re from two different worlds,
Worlds that can’t possibly work.
I’d do anything for her,
But I can’t be the SAINT she deserves.
THE SAINT is a standalone and part of the Haven Grace Prep series. It contains angst, violence, and scenes that may be triggering for some readers. If you’re looking for a sweet love story, this may not be for you.

For those of you who have read the first book of this series, Knox and Delaney aren’t new faces. We know that Knox lives in a side of town that isn’t that great, and he seems to run in the wrong circles. This is partially true, because in this book we finally get to know his friends better, and they aren’t that bad (I’d like to hear more from some of them!). But of course, being an only kid living with an absent mom, Knox also frequents questionable people, people who will try to entangle him in the underground world even more. I’ll leave you to discover what lead him in the hands of the wrong people, I’ll just say that if you read “The Sinner”, there is a storyline that continues that is strictly tied to “The Saint”, so I suggest you read that one before getting into this, not only for the bits of the storyline to understand even more, but also because the romance and the story of the first book is completely different from this one and it is worth reading.
While Knox lives in the poor side of town and goes to North Haven High, the public school in front of Haven Grace Prep, Delaney comes from money and is a trust-fund baby, as Knox once refers to her. Delaney can’t be more different thank Knox, not only because they come from different realities, but also in personality. She runs in all the right circles and is friends with the popular kids at school, and she is probably going to attend one of the Ivy League universities. Delaney meets Knox because of her best friends Savannah, because if it were for her and her parents, she wouldn’t mix with him and his friends. You’d think Delaney would go for the safe type, but there is something about Knox that just allures her and makes her get closer to him.
Knox and Delaney start off as a sort of enemies because they always bicker when they are around each other. Plus, Knox never misses the chance to remind Delaney that she’s an outcast in his world, because he is a bad boy and she’s the good girl. But they can’t deny that there are sparks between them, and sooner they give into the attraction. I loved how Knox overturned the expectations that a reader could make on him. He sure is the bad boy, but he can be very protective and loyal to the people he loves. This is why he doesn’t want to give in at first. He cares about Delaney and doesn’t trust himself, since he isn’t the type to commit. Maybe he judged himself wrong, because he proves that he is capable of loving and caring for the people who matter.
I expected this to be a bully romance just like The Saint, but I was pleasantly surprised because this turned out to be so different from what I thought it would be. Knox and Delaney were well written and the story made me fall for Knox even more. Even if sometimes I didn’t agree with their actions (as it should be), I liked how they took care of each other and how their love blossomed through the pages until the end.
This book solidified my appreciation for the author, and I can’t wait for next book, which will be about Delaney’s sister, Tessa.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading book one, The Sinner, and was eagerly waiting to read the next book as Knox intrigued me in the first book, immensely.
Knox Vaughn is the king of the local public school, North Haven High, being the captain of the football team. Delaney Callahan or Laney, is the ‘good girl’ from the other side of town attending Haven Grace Prep who sees something in Knox even when she is warned away from him.
The intrigue of what Knox and Grayson will end up involved in and what will happen is huge and hooks you in straight away. The story still explores the differences in social classes as well as the similarities and problems both encounter. The dangerous elements in the story are both exciting and nail biting and surely gets your adrenaline pumping. Just when you think there’s no way things will work out, yeah… it seems impossible! Hold on for the ride of your life!
I liked Knox from the beginning, as I said he held an interest for me that was sustained throughout this story and only added to his appeal. I did feel quite a bit of empathy for him at times too but at others I wanted to smack him. This is a typical Knox thought… when getting into Laney’s new car… “I don’t know whether to be jealous or ridiculously turned on as I watch her navigate the roads.”
I absolutely loved the way Laney gave Knox her total honesty that floored him, he really didn’t know what to do with it. There’s a whole lot more to this girl than others realise, for example Tessa, Ger twin sister sums it up well with this question… “Who are you and what have you done with my sister?” Very apt and too.
Wow! Another brilliant story in this series! I’m ready for the next one now, I think I am addicted!

Second book for the series and boy have I been excited to dive in after the knockout first one.
As soon as I started reading I knew it was going to be just as brillant.
These two are a prime example of complete opposites, so will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Knox appears to have many hidden good layers to him, helping Grayson when he didn’t have to. Now it’s just a matter of whether they can both survive the consequences.
The quiet ones always figure out the bigger picture and hidden truths faster thanks to their ability to fly under the radar. Laney is no different, even when out of her depth witha bad boy like Knox.
Once their worlds collide it’s hard to look away and reminds you that more often than not opposites do attract.
This line spoke to me of maybe a sign of what’s to come:
“No matter where they go, sparrows always return home. They’re loyal to a fault, and loyalty goes a long way with me.”
I’m sitting here after very little sleep, but with a huge grin on my face. Won’t ruin anymore of the story but will leave you with the words…. ONE CLICK IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!
I didn’t think anyone would come along and steal away the crown of favorite book boyfriend for this series from Gray but ohhh boy Knox smashed his way in and ran away with it !!!!
“I’m the devil reincarnated. Your living fucking nightmare. Made of stone, with no feelings for anyone or anything”
Knox the bad boy from the wrong side of the road ,Delaney the sweet good girl, the valedictorian with a promising future . Complete opposites in every way…..well on paper yes but are they ?
Knox is so much more than the image he perceives and Delaney has him feeling things hes never felt before.
“Its like the darkness in me is drawn to the light in her”
But can the bad boy and good girl have the happily ever after???
A fantastic addition to the series full of angst and suspense with twists that make your throat tight and your heart hurt this is a truly thrilling ride I’m loving being on ,the characters are fantastic and the storyline is gripping very highly recommended .
The much anticipated second book of the haven grace prep series and im so excited to see what comes next…..

The quintessential Good Girl Delaney has only ever known what it’s like to be at most second best and this is the way she likes it. She earns to break out of her shell, but at 17 how much can she really break out after being good for so long. Enter Knox. The boy who does everything she doesn’t, including going to the Public High School across from her private school. Knox is brought into her orbit due to her sister dating one of his friends, and Gray’s tentative friendship with Knox. Everyone tells them they won’t work, but they both see so much more in each other then the stereotypes that they have been labeled.
Knox brings out the fearless Delaney while she brings out the nurturer. They only will do anything for each other, and have to at the end. I am loving the way that Kelsey writes her stories. The main characters always have to fight for what they want, but in the end it makes it so much sweeter. She is definitely quickly becoming a go to author for me to read.

Kelsey Clayton has ROCKED it again!!! The Saint was just as AMAZING as The Sinner (Book 1) I am loving the Haven Grace Prep series. This is one of my favorite series based in a high school setting yet.
I thought Grayson was an amazing Hero in The Sinner, but holy cow!!! Just wait until you meet Knox Vaughn. I fell so hard for this boy….Even though he is rough around the edges and kind of harsh in the beginning, he completely stole my heart and melted it 😉
If you are a fan of an opposites attract then this is a story you NEED to read!! This book sucked me in from the beginning and didn’t let go until the end. I had a hard time putting this down.
This book is about Knox and Delaney. We meet both of these characters in The Sinner. The author kind of ended that book with a to be continued ending for Knox and Delaney, it’s nothing terrible, just a tad bit making you want to read their book even more. I was so excited to get my hands on this book and I am happy to say I wasn’t disappointed.
Knox and Delaney’s story takes off right where the end of The Sinner was. Now I will say that each of these books are standalone novels, but I would highly recommend reading these books in order. There is a connection between this books storyline and The Sinners storyline. I can’t say anymore than that, but you WILL want to read The Sinner first.
Knox and Delaney were the complete opposite of each other. Delaney is from a wealthy family and she is going for valedictorian of her senior class. Knox is the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks and barely shows up to school. But for some reason these two people make sense. I loved that Delaney could see more of Knox than just his bad boy ways. She saw deep inside him and got into his heart.
Let me finish with this…..add this book to your TBR list NOW!! This is a book you will want to 1-click as soon as it releases. This will definitely be added to my Best of 2020 List. I look forward to more books in this series and by this author.
Knox Vaughn is the kind of guy she should stay far away from, but for some reason Delaney can’t, he draws her in like a moth to a flame. He is broody, fond of breaking the law, spends more time partying than he does studying, and well of course he does not measure up to her fathers’ standards. But for as many strikes as he has against him, she still heads straight for him, and hands over her heart.
She knows getting involved with a guy like him could backfire and her heart could wind up being a casualty, but she sees the good in him, and knows what they have is special. But there are a lot of obstacles standing in their way…
Between the pages of this brilliantly penned tale lies a story of young love, one that will squeeze your heart in all the right places. These two don’t fall instantly, there are a lot of preconceived notions in the way, but their curiosity about one another keeps them radiating in each other’s space. They both know that they have a lot of differences between them, but their hearts know that what they have is special, so it keeps interfering and pushing them closer together, while everything and everyone else around them continues to push them apart. It’s one of those stories with lots of push and pull to it, but in between those moments there is also a beautiful once in a lifetime kind of romance blossoming too, it’s a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride. I loved this first time read, it’s words were mesmerizing and loaded with feels, and it’s characters stole my heart upon first meeting! I cannot wait to see what is in store for this cast of characters next!! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
A tangle of angsty emotions, that once I started The Saint I was unable to put it down!!
Knox Vaughn isn’t anywhere close to being Prince Charming. Drinking, smoking, cursing, skipping school, he is the embodiment of what bad boy means. Having a misdemeanor record a mile long should make a girl like Delaney run far away, but something about the boy behind the bad boy mask calls to her. There is more to him than people give him credit for and that Knox is what keeps pulling Delaney back again and again.
Knox knows Laney is trouble – pure, sweet trouble – unlike the normal trouble he’s used to, but he’s so intrigued and instantly possessive of her that he couldn’t stop himself if he tried. He honestly has no idea what he’s doing, he’s never been series with anyone – ever – and Delaney has him tied up in knots. Her perfect good-girl world is beyond what he knows, except that he should give her up, but he knows he can’t he’s not that good.
When danger lands at his doorstep he does everything to keep it away from touching those in his life, but in the end he might just have to give up the one good thing he’s ever had, even if it kills him.
The Saint is a gripping story about two souls more alike than you could imagine, but about from two entirely different worlds which makes their story seem impossible to achieve. It’s amazing!
