A standalone romantic mystery.

This was a great story that showed some of the struggles of people returning from war and how they may see themselves and what they feel they deserve or don’t. I loved the growth Michael went through and I love how Kate loves him for who he was.
Intriguing
This is a great story that has a lot our suspense, hot looking military guys and the intrigue of the chase. Plus you have two people, one afraid of love, and other possibly looking for out.
Overall was a great book. At first the main heroine irritated me but…over all, good book.
Nice start to a new series by this author. A little romance a little intrigue and mystery. I’m always somewhat annoyed when the heroine acknowledges a danger but refuses to get help. Michael is a brainy guy who doesn’t like to socialize. Kate is an event planner, so this is a little bit of opposites attract plus a mystery. My first book by this author and I will definitely move on thru the series.
3.5 stars would be better. It took a long time to get to the crux of the story and then kept weaving in and out of the real story as best I could tell. I almost quit reading it more than once but am glad I finished.
While action packed, the characters just didn’t seem real to me and consequently I felt no emotional connection.
I’m a suckered for strong men and this one fit the bill
Good book.
I don’t want to give anything away, but I’m glad you touched on the help that our veterans need
Would definitely read more from this writer! Excellent
Loved the plot twists and intersections. I really love it when authors write stories about real life issues, like PTSD and how it can be helped too. This was my first from this author and I would definitely read more.
This book was okay. Slow character building and it didn’t keep my interest.
Always enjoy a book that shows appreciation for those who protect our freedom!
Occasional bad word choices or misused words got in the way of enjoying the book. Didn’t really get into the characters.
Enjoyed the read.
I read t g e book but I felt that the attraction between the main characters should have started soon. Also, the death of her mom should have been explored earlier in the story.
She came to organize a benefit
He has PTSD from Iraq and Afghanistan
She has a stalker, he has sworn to protect her
They have a fire between them that they try to deny.
He is a weapons engineer, they need his expertise.
She longs to help him…he refuses her help, because he needs her tooo much…
A very good story, I loved it. Great characters, excellent plot.
I’m on the 4th book and I love all of them
There’s mystery, suspense, action
..oh my and the the romance. No spoilers nut there is depth and a good plot going on.
This story was great! I really enjoyed the witty and sassy lady who did a great job of putting the leading man in his place. I highly recommend this to everyone over 18. It does have some sex in it so it isn’t really appropriate for those under 18. Otherwise, have fun!
Enjoyed this book.
