She has no way of knowing her college sweetheart is headed to the same cabin in the Rockies, terrified and gravely … the Rockies, terrified and gravely wounded. Their unexpected reunion couldn’t have come at a worse time. Or could it? Bewildered that God would allow Michael Dean to walk back into her life, Annie pleads with Him to keep her heart true to her husband and her family. God answers her prayer, but in a way she would never expect.
Written by a former pastor’s wife, Annie’s story provides a rare look inside the family life of those in the ministry, particularly the unique pressures on those who marry men of God.

An excellent book, one that I would read again. It did keep you in suspense at what was going to happen next.
She married the wrong guy and had to get away to find true love that was there the whole time.
Did not know what to expect from this book. I am a pastors wife, and a lot of this rang true with me. It is funny how we read a book only to be entertained, but we endup with much more,
I did like this book – kept me reading
This was a great read and did not end the way I thought it would.
Loved it, this book was a great way to understand how we must open our hearts to God and listen for His direction.
Would be a great movie ! Excellent plot and development of characters
Good read
Enjoyed this book.
I really like this story, but she finished it in a hurried, contrived way.
Characters hard to believe would take such actions
Predictable and stretches feasibility at times, It was okay but . . .
As a former pastor’s wife the title grabbed my attention. Some of the story hit close to home for me (I never ran away but the stresses of ministry were definitely something I related to).
Loved, loved this book. Having known several pastors wives at our church I could really see this happening. But there were several surprises so keep on reading to the very end.
Really enjoyed it!
The kind of event I lived through.
An honest portrayal of the trials (and blessings) of being a pastor’s wife and a realistic solution to those issues.
Runaway Pastor’s Wife is about a woman married to a pastor that has taken his wife for granted so long that he no longer realistically sees or understands her needs. The book has several stories going at the same time. It kept my interest.
Reflective
Loved the realistic characters and had a great plot.
