When most girls get engaged, at most they face a disapproving mother-in-law, but in Tessa Sharpe’s case, it’s a disapproving nation. No one in the tiny kingdom of Avonia wants the former anti-royal blogger to wed Prince Arthur. The anti-royals haven’t forgiven her for abandoning ship and swimming over to the Prince’s yacht, and the royal watchers won’t ever forget all the horrible things she wrote about their beloved Royal Family.
Up against all odds, Tessa has only six months to prove herself worthy of the title of Princess. Her nasty father-in-law is going to throw every obstacle in her way, including the beautiful, poised, and highly accomplished Lady Doctor Brooke Beddingfield. But Tessa is determined to make this work and keep her fledgling career as a reporter intact.
Will Tessa manage to fight her way down the aisle and find her Prince Charming waiting? Or will one of them succumb to mounting pressure and run the other way before they can say I do?

My first Ms. Summers’ book was “Royal Treatment” and I am hooked now. I’ve never laughed so hard as I did in “Royal Treatment”, in “Royal Wedding” I laughed and I cried so hard. The awful treatment Tessa had to endure by Alvonia was horrible and my heart broke for her. I can’t wait to read “Royal Delivery”, and I cannot recommend this Crown Jewels Series enough! Read it! You’ll be so glad you did.
Melanie Summers knows how to deliver the perfect romantic comedy, full of wit and charm. The Royal Treatment had me completely hooked and I couldn’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy.
In The Royal Wedding the story picks up right where we left off in the previous book with Tessa getting engaged to Prince Arthur. After meeting under unique circumstances, these enemies found love in each other as the whole kingdom was witnessed to it all. They overcame hurdles at the beginning of their relationship, but now they are ready to get married. But a new set of obstacles have decided to come their way once again. This time, Tessa will have to transform from a struggling reporter to an elegant princess if she wants to survive her new royal life. It would be a transition that will leave her questioning if she is meant to be with Arthur or if she needs to go back to her old life. While Tessa is dealing with the public eye, Arthur has taken a lot of responsibilities and he is willing to protect Tessa no matter what. So when a little lie turns his whole life around, he will have to face the consequences and hope that he doesn’t drive Tessa away for good.
I loved the chemistry between the characters, they compliment each other very well. With the new set of obstacles coming their way, the two most decide of what they really want out of their relationship in order to have a future together. It’s evident from the start that Tessa is still struggling to get the public to accept her as their soon-to-be princess and that has taken a toll on her. She wants to be the perfect princess for Arthur, but she is losing herself in the process. If there is anything I loved about Tessa is her tenacity to succeed and not give up. She is a fighter and that is her strength until the very end. On the other hand, Arthur is still dealing with the loss of his mother and he has to find it in himself to move on from his past in order to create a future with the love of his life. As the two try to find their way back to each other once again, we get to meet other characters as well. We see them interact with friends and the rest of their families while I loved. All in all, the story was full of swoon worthy moments to keep you wanting for more. I would highly recommend it and I cannot wait to read the last book in the trilogy. You will not regret it!
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
I absolutely love this series. I didn’t think I could laugh so hard reading a book until I discovered this author and this hilarious series. I’m a sucker for books in the “royals” sub-genre. This book is a continuation from the first book and picks up right where the first one left off. It’s just as funny as the first and kept me so entertained that I didn’t want to put it down and ended up reading it in one sitting. Can’t wait to jump into the third book.
This is an excellent book/series and author to add to your book collection.
Happy Reading…enjoy!
I loved this second installment in the trilogy. I liked getting to know Arabella better. I loved the problems that came from trying to fit into the lady mold and everything else. I’m off to finish this trilogy, post haste!
I absolutely LOVE this book. I couldn’t put the book down or stop laughing at all of Tessa’s quirks, she is such a walking disaster. I know exactly how Tessa feels, since disaster finds me too. I love her clumsiness and enchanting nature, and her spriit and determination. Arthur is such an amazing, brilliant, caring and overprotective hunk that you can’t not love him. Tessa and Arthurs story will real you in and keep you hostage until the end, and then leave you begging for more. The banter Between Tess and Arthur is adorable. Arthurs Gram is simply amazing. You will absolutely love this book. It’s a must read!
Once I started reading I couldn’t stop. Once again grandma steals the show. I loved this book. Can’t wait for book 3.
Learning to be a princess is a royal pain for Tessa. What should be a wonderful time for her is becoming a major stress filled six months. Arthur and she want to be together ASAP, so no two year planning process. Of course that comes with complications in the form of a wedding planner with a dictator, Napolean complex. Add to that Tessa seems to have angered at least half of Avonia by supporting the Royals bid to stay in power. There’s an agressive social media campaign against her. A local TV station that keeps her under a microscope reporting every faux pas. A perfect woman who always seems to be lurking just in the background who, Arthur insists, is just a friend. The list goes on and on. Tessa is cracking under the pressure and becomes convinced thar she and Arthur are just two different to ever have a successful marriage so she calls it off. Will Arthur be able to convince her otherwise? Their HEA is in jeopardy.
Wonderful! The Royal Wedding is a great romantic comedy full of emotion. Although Tessa and Arthur’s story had me laughing most of the time I also found myself shedding a few tears too. I really reading about Tessa’s struggle to fit into the role of a princess and win the hearts of the people without losing herself in the process. She has a few mishaps along the way but ultimately it helps her to figure out that she is worthy of Arthur’s love and that she’s a lot stronger than she thought.
Arthur stands loving beside her and tries to protect her from getting hurt. He learns though that it is impossible to protect her from everything and that no matter how noble his actions maybe they can cause more harm than good. With just about everyone against them the pressures are mounting and tensions are high. Can the both overcome the obstacles that stand in their way and make it to their wedding day?
