Duty. Honor. Country.
Love. Romance. Passion.
Addison
The last thing I wanted was to move back in with my father, the hard-ass who raised me in the same strict military style that he ran every platoon, company and battalion he led. But thanks to some of my, uh, ‘life choices’, I’m living with my dad at West Point–and everyone knows me as the commandant’s wild daughter. I hate it.
Until I meet … daughter. I hate it.
Until I meet him one night at a party off-post. Sure, he’s a little too straight and serious for me, but still . . . he might be the one addiction that I can’t quit.
Sawyer
I’m an Army helicopter pilot. It’s my life, my dream and everything I ever wanted. Being stationed at West Point is fine for now, but I see it as a stepping stone for my next big move. When the commandant asks me to keep my eye on his out-of-control daughter, I agree to do it. I’ll do anything to keep advancing my career.
Until I meet her. Running into her at that party isn’t as random as she thinks, but pretty soon, I find it hard to remember the real reason I’m spending time with her . . . I just know I can’t stop.

I really like this story. It is unique, it has passion, chemistry, corny humor, sweetness and salty. I love Sawyer. He is big, and gorgeous, and sweet and principled. He is a good friend. Addison is broken and her switch is set to self destruct. I love the change that she brings about in herself. I love their version of slow burn. This book is well worth my time. I will be searching for more from this author.

This was a great second book in this series by Ms Tawdra, I can’t wait for the next story.
I loved the natural flow of friends to lovers in this tale along with the slow burn romance. Sawyer is so very sexy and real while Addison is figuring out her life. I loved them together.

This story is about Addison, the daughter of the Commandant at West Point, and her struggles with the truth of her mother leaving when she was a child. Sawyer is a helicopter pilot asked by her father to befriend Addison. Her character and her relationship with her father are portrayed in a realistic manner. His character and his career goals are what sets him apart. Although somewhat predictable, the story remains interesting. A pleasant read.

This is a beautiful, emotionally charged story of complete opposites attracting. But are they really as opposite as one would tend to believe by just looking at them on a surface level? Addison is introduced as a wild child that likes to party and get involved with the wrong type of people and Sawyer is a correct and proper, never-put-a-foot-wrong cadet who has been given the task of watching over Addison at the request of his Commandant who also happens to be her father. Addison has a lot of childhood issues in regard to her father and the reader realizes early on that the wild child persona was really only a cover to mask the deep hurt that she felt, because she stopped the partying and reckless behavior almost immediately after moving back to live with her father and meeting Sawyer. Deep down, Addison was looking for that one person that she could connect with that would be the steady, guiding influence that she needed. So, Sawyer was absolutely perfect for her and their love story ended up being so sweet and beautiful! There just might have been a few tissues scattered around by the time I finished reading this one!

This book stands alone well, but it helps to have read the one before it to understand some of the personal dynamics at play. The wild child and the straight arrow. On the surface, and even a couple of layers down, Sawyer and Addison are total opposites, but there’s just something in their chemistry that keeps drawing them together. I loved seeing Addison grow beyond the rebel mask she wore. And it was really sweet to watch Sawyer realize that career and relationship weren’t necessarily mutually exclusive. The one thing I feel like I’m missing from this story is a proper resolution between Addison and her mother. But other than that, the book carried me away.

This is another fun read in this great series all set around the west point military academy Fun reads that keep you engaged until you turn that last page
Addison didn’t have the greatest upbringing her father is all military and raised her as though she was one of his soldiers this led to her rebelling and making poor choices the latest one means she has had to return to her father . The one thing this has taught her is that she will never date a military man let a,one marry one. Sawyer is tasked by his commander to befriend his daughter and get her involved with a better group of friends he will do whatever he needs to in an effort to further is career So he accidentally meets Addison at a party and befriends her They soon become the best of friends in fact things are starting to heat up between them but can a straight laced military man actually be the man that Addison needs or will she run yet again trying to escape the military life because Sawyer is definitely career military like her father
This book is part of the West Point Tour of Duty series. This is Addision and Sawyer’s story. Addision has grown up in the strict military style as her father is a military man. Due to some poor choices, she is back to live under her father’s roof while she sorts stuff out. Sawyer is a military man, an Army helicopter pilot. When these two meet at a party there is instant chemistry which surprises them both. There are a couple twists in here to keep these characters on their toes but can they sort it all out in the end? Another great story in the series. Enjoy!

Addison is the commandant’s wild daughter. He’s asked Sawyer to watch over her. It’s a sweet story with them becoming friends first and growing into so much more. But not without obstacles. The characters are strong and well developed. The story is well written and moves fluidly. It’s a romantic story and I enjoyed reading.

This is Sawyer and Addison story. Sawyer is a helicopter for the Army. He is currently stationed at West Point. He is asked by his commanding officer to watch his little girl, Addison. Addison is a 27 year old who hasn’t figured out her life and embarasses her dad (mentioned in book). Sawyer is supposed to become Addison friend. What happens when he realizes that he is in love with her. The book will shock you. The letters to each other will leave you thinking that letters do need to come with warning labels. Good book with some interesting characters. I like how Sawyer handled the situation, even though he felt it was wrong.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Sawyer and Addison. She’s the commandant’s wild daughter that’s been forced to move back in with him.. Sawyer is a helicopter pilot who’s been asked to watch out and befriend Addison by the commandant. But they’re friendship changes over time to something more. But a secret might destroy the fragile balance. Great beginnings of a HEA.

There are many reasons that people break up their relationships. Families suffer the fallout, and some just do not seem to calculate the cost to anyone but themselves
Addison’s mother’s disappearance from her life left her alone and vulnerable in a lot of ways- and determined to limit chances for people to harm her.
Sawyer is a steadfast helicopter pilot who befriends Addison at the request of her father – his commander,
Friendship can become something amazing given a chance – and a father is likely to do whatever he thinks necessary to protect his daughter, perhaps not truly calculating the costs
Intense emotional action
Book two in the Career Soldier: West Point Tour of Duty series a well written story that held my interest throughout. This is the Commandant’s daughter Addison Coleman and Captain Sawyer Flint’s story. I enjoyed seeing how much Addison changed and seeing their story come together. I want to read more in this series. Addison is out of control. Losing her job, car and apartment, she’s back living with her father again. He wants for there to be more positive influences in her life, but knows that she won’t listen to him. He enlists the help of Sawyer to be her friend, promising career assistance Addison and Sawyer become friends and hang out, go out, socialize with friends. Just friends – neither of them wants more than that. And when it does head to something more serious, her father spills the beans about his arrangement with Sawyer, before Sawyer has the nerve to do it himself. This is a really nice book, very different from the last one. Addison and Sawyer being “just friends” gives them a chance to get to know each other before they jump into a physical relationship. I loved watching Addison grow up and find herself, and stop blaming her parents for all of her problems. The letters that she and Sawyer wrote while he’s deployed – beautiful, heart-warming, sexy.

Sawyer agrees to befriend the General’s daughter Addison but when he meets her he wants more.
Sawyer Flint is called into General Coleman’s office and the General asks him if he will befriend his daughter who has returned home after having a lot of trouble. He finds Addison at a party arguing with a man who is getting very insistent and rescues her. He gets her to go for a drive soon realizing there is more to her than her father has described and he is finding himself attracted to her. Addison’s life had been greatly disturbed by her mother leaving when she was six resulting in a mixture of churning emotions but when she is around Sawyer she finds they calm.

This is so romantic and reminded me of the sweetness of dating the old fashioned way. I love that they built a friendship which I think allows the reader to get to know them better as individuals. Proximity will always blur intentions. Love this addition to the series, which was well blended with a taste of the first one. Characters are inviting, invigorating and very well matched.

I just couldn’t put it down. Sawyer is a soldier that is a helicopter pilot . He is asked to do a favor for his Commander to become friends with his daughter. Addison is mad at her mother for leaving when she was younger, she pretty much hated everyone because of her past. Sawyer became her friend & after months he couldn’t hold back his feelings. Once they had a wonderful moment things changed because Addison found out what her dad did. It broke her heart because she was in love with Sawyer. He got deployed & their feelings grew stronger then ever. Once back they were forever together.

What’s a Captain to do when a General asks him to platonically befriend his daughter? Sawyer’s up for the challenge, but he may have taken on more than he is prepared for. Addison has a lot of baggage and deep-seated anger, but Sawyer may just be the last thing she expected – someone she can rely on and trust to have her back, or maybe not. You won’t want to miss this roller coaster ride with its emotional ups and downs and twists and turns. Sawyer and Addison are perfect for each other from the moment they meet, and their story will pull you in from the very heartbreaking beginning until the very heartwarming end. This is another captivating romance that will keep you turning pages from start to finish. It’s a wonderful addition to this highly entertaining series.
When Addison’s mother left her father she also left a heartbroken little girl. Addison has been the wild child ever since, she doesn’t let people get close and takes more risks than she should. Her father thinks that Sawyer can be a stabilising influence on her. Of course this does not go to plan and the fallout and what follows is a beautifully written romance. This book has lots of emotions, lots of details and is really well written.
Wonderful romance between a boy scout and a party girl!
Addison had her heart broken as a young girl by the one person she should have been able to trust the most. To protect her heart, she’s grown up into a young woman who seems drawn to the risky choices in life, until it lands her in a situation where she has to turn to her steadfast father for help. The only thing she knows for sure is that she doesn’t want a military life, so dating a soldier is entirely out of the question.
Sawyer has been asked by Addison’s dad to befriend her and help her get involved with a better group of friends, but not to become romantically involved with her. That’s no problem, because he knows his straight-laced upbringing and lifestyle would never work with a girl like Addison.
However, they do become excellent friends without either one realizing that their friendship is developing into the foundation for so much more. I really loved the unique approach the story took after these two acknowledge their attraction and all the secrets are revealed.
Addison’s personal growth was honest and heartfelt, if heartbreaking at times, yet it was a necessary step for her to finally take charge of her life in a meaningful way. Sawyer is a dream boyfriend, tender and respectful yet bossy in all the right ways. Addison’s nickname for him was simply perfect, and I loved how she recognized that even though it started as a way to tease him, it ended up being the way she truly saw him.
The author’s research and attention to detail are superb, giving us the feeling of actually being at West Point or in the nearby town of Highland Falls. You can really feel the author’s love and respect for the military in these books. If you love swooning over heartthrob soldiers, you’ll love this series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
