Bestselling author Tiffany Reisz returns with an imaginative tale of lust and magic, and the dangers unleashed when the two are combined… her parents and a guest at Lia’s party, also has his eye on. The cup, August tells her, is known as the Rose Kylix, and it’s no ordinary cup. It was used in the temple ceremonies of Eros, Greek god of erotic love, and has the power to bring the most intimate sexual fantasies to life.
But Lia is skeptical of August’s claims of the cup’s mythology and magic—after all, he’s a collector himself, and she suspects he just wants to get his hands on this impressive piece of art. So he dares her to try it for herself, and when Lia drinks from the Rose Kylix she is suddenly immersed in an erotic myth so vivid it seems real—as though she’s living out the most sensual fantasy with August by her side…
Realizing the true power of this ancient and dangerous relic, Lia is even more wary of giving it up, though August insists it is only safe with him. He’s willing to pay the full value of the cup, but Lia has another type of trade in mind. One that finds them more tangled up in each other—and in fantasy—than either was prepared for.

Absolutely amazing story…the author’s ability to weave mythology, romance, mystery, emotion, humor, snarkily fun banter and supremely steamy adult time and make it all seem so real in today’s world is just magnificent to me. I have loved mythology, especially Greek mythology since I was a young girl and this story has me wanting to delve into these ancient worlds again. I thought that The Red was truly unique but in my eyes, Me. Reisz has outdone herself…and I want so much more from this wonderful, perverted family!
Shame on me! I didn’t do my homework and didn’t realize Lia is the daughter of Mona and Spencer Godwick from The Red!!!!! This is a complete standalone, but I might have enjoyed it a teeny tiny bit more if I knew that! Anyways, I LOVE ancient Greek Mythology. This modern, hot story is filled with so many of them with their twist on stories with Lia and August in starring roles. It was a nice treat because Greek Mythology is something I don’t come across often. I love how the cover model of the book is incorporated in the last chapter. Oh, I wonder what could be next in The Red series, I look forward to it!
I loved The Red, when it hit my kindle I devoured it. When I saw this was in the same series as that book – I jumped on reviewing it. Overall I did enjoy this book. There were a few things that did not work for me but it was mostly minor things. I really enjoyed the banter between Lia and August, the great side characters added so much, several other things that are spoiler-ish so I’m leaving those off the list. This was a bit milder than The Red. I did take me some time to fully get into the story and to connect to Lia and August. The Greek mythology aspect of the story was very entertaining. I do like this book but I liked The Red even more. I still recommend reading both of them though.
Being a lover of stories that are to do with the myths and legends of Ancient Greece and it’s Gods and Goddesses, I jumped at the chance to read this book. This is a very modern love story that is also kind of a fairytale. It’s full of fantasy, fun and sex! Lia meets August at a party that her parents are throwing for her. August was outbid for a cup called the Rose Kylix at an auction that lia’s father buys for her as a present, as a consolation prize August gets invited to the party, here he warns Lia of the danger of using the cup on her own as it was used for temple ceremonies to worship Eros. From the start Lia and August have a very sexual attraction to each other and can’t help themselves from falling for each other.
This book isn’t just a romance with lots of sex and fantasy scenes, it’s got lots of secrets and drama going on in the background that gives a few exciting twists to the story. This was a really great story that had so many wonderful characters and was such a pleasure to read. Tiffany Reisz is a wonderfully talented author that can captivate your imagination while writing erotica with a mind blowing story that will take your breath away.
The Rose was awesome. I loved the way the author wove Greek mythology into a modern story. I also loved the fact that it was a super naughty read yet it highlighted serious issues. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend to those who love erotic romance.

The Rose is the second book in The Red series by Tiffany Reisz. It can be read as a standalone. I actually didn’t read the first book, The Red. It slid right past me. The point is that they are each standalone novels. The synopsis is kickass so I will make this quick.
Lia’s life is forever changed the night of her graduation party. She meets August Bowman, a hottie with a Greek accent and a swoon-worthy wink. She is gifted the most extraordinary cup used twenty-five hundred years ago. And her past shows up looking smug as ever. All she wanted was a small party. What she got was everything she never imagined. A night she will always remember that is the beginning of a week she will never forget…
The cup is not just an old as dirt cup. It’s dangerous. It’s magnificent. It can bring you pleasure and it can bring you pain. August warns Lia of his powers but she isn’t believing him. Can he convince her that it’s real? That fate has stepped in and brought the cup to her? And figure out why it did? He intends to find out himself and to show her the power it holds.
This is very unique tale. I love history. I really do but I never got into mythology. Mixing it in with modern times was fantastic. It gave the story that unique twist and I loved that. I also loved the characters. Their banter was fun. Their connection was beautiful, and their story is full of fantasy, love, and twists. And her parents…omg. They were so much fun.
Overall…I loved it! The characters. The mythology. The writing.
Quotes:
“You’re trouble.”
“You don’t know the half of it,” he said.
“Lia,” her father said. “Where have you been all evening?”
“I was kidnapped and forced to have a threesome with Greek soldiers.”
“Hope you had a nice time,” her mother said.
“It’s morning,” she said.
“Again? Why does this keep happening to me?” He rubbed his eyes.
I’ve read a lot of erotica in my days and very few people do it as well as Reisz. Much like The Red, this story is incredibly unique. It explores sexual desires and melds with Greek mythology and their notable characters for truly seductive read. I was absolutely unable to put this book down once I started.
I loved Lia’s character. She embraced her desires and their deeper meaning, while determined to keep her business ventures secret. She wasn’t just doing this for self preservation, but more so for the people she cares about. I really liked that while exploring her fantasies she found a confidence that she lacked in her real life.
This book was so artistic and clever. I always get excited when something that’s equally different and fantastic comes along. I loved everything about this story and would highly recommend picking this one up ASAP. I can only hope that we get more stories like this from the author.
Lia is given a special cup with roses on it by her wealthy parents. August wants the cup for himself. The cup is a part of Greek Mythology that allows participants to experience their erotic fantasies. This book will hit all the happy feels with Lia and August together. Whew, what a ride.
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
Birthday’s are a time of celebration and reflection. For Lia – a gift from her parents intrigues the recent university graduate. The stunning gift is a wine cup decorated with roses that captures not only Lia’s eye but that of another unexpected guest. August Bowman is friends with Lia’s parents, but also someone that knows more about the cup than he initially lets on.
Knowing that August is an avid art collector, Lia has a hard time believing everything the handsome stranger shares with her about the Rose kylix. With doubt and uncertainty fueling Lia’s thoughts, there seems to be another feeling that the birthday goddess didn’t expect. As August tempts Lia to live out her fantasies through the kylix, she discovers that she is growing more attracted to August by the moment. A realization that only fuels Lia’s desire to explore all the Rose kylix can offer.
Just as Eve was tempted in the Garden of Eden, Lia finds herself drawn to the idea of stepping back into the roles of some of the most salacious times in mythology. With August as her tour guide, Lia decides to discover the nuances of her deepest desires while delving into the greatest love stories in Greek Mythology. Will Lia offer her prized gift from her parents to August? What other secrets are lurking around the kylix and her family’s role in history?
Holy Grecian Gods!! Get ready for a journey that will leave you trailing the history books while maintaining delving into the erotic writings of author Tiffany Reisz. The Rose is a bit of a continuation of The Red – another erotic tale that is definitely worth checking out! The Rose is written as a standalone but does have tie-ins to the prior book in the series. What the Rose offers fans is an amazing journey through mythology that will leave a lasting impression on any reader! As a huge fan of The Rose – I absorbed every single word of The Rose in one sitting.
Lia and August will heat of your reader with their journey through mythological settings. Intrigue, lore, and other forbidden romps through the past will entice anyone that loves a good erotic tale. While the mythology connection is a huge part of the story, there is also a mystery around Lia’s family that will play an intricate part in this tale of the forbidden. Overall – The rose was a spectacular erotic read that captivated me with the creativity and mythological plot twists!! Make sure you add this one to your collection today!!
The Rose, oh what a fantasy read. Chock full of all good things Tiffany Reisz. Encasing all of the little gems I relish in a fine book. The author really knows her subject matter. I have always had a deep fascination with ancient Greece and the mythologies behind their Gods.
The Rose is the second in a series aptly named The Red; either can be read separately. Lia is her own person with her own personality and quirks; her tale has no bearing on what came before. Her parents are art lovers and for her graduation from university, her father purchases her a gift appropriate for someone who loves Greek Mythology.
Upon entering, August Bowman is a man with incredible mysteries and desires. He badly wants something and Lia is not willing to part with it. What transpires next is sure to be some of the finest lust and heat I have had the privilege of reading.
“Lia, I could make you come so hard that your body floats three feet off the sheets and lightning will explode from your belly. You will see smells and hear colors. The heavens will break open and you will touch the face of God when I make you come. And I could do it with my hands tied behind my back.”
There is a certain expectation when it comes to this author and the books she creates. She has a penchant for erotic. The more sex the better if you ask me. She never holds back and always and in this reviewer’s opinion, follows the tale where it tells her to go, never where she thinks it should. With intensity, there is always levity. Humility and stupidity are also scattered throughout where appropriate.
‘“I am going to proceed,” she said, “on the assumption that you are a sane person who occasionally says insane things like ‘the Greek gods exist’ and ‘I’ve had sex with a cloud.’”
Throughout there are questions; who is August Bowman and why can Lia not deny him? Can Lia uncover the truth before she gets her heart smashed into a million pieces? I would like to say thank you to Ms. Reisz for once again piquing my curiosity and bringing me another truly wonderful escape from reality
This book reminded me why Tiffany Reisz is a one click author for me. Nobody does erotica quite like her. This one was DELICIOUS! It is book 2 in The Red series but can definitely be read as a standalone.
Ancient artefacts, Greek Mythology, Chemistry to melt your kindle and plots/subplots that had me guessing and gasping out loud. I loved everything about this story and finished in the wee hours of the morning.
I thoroughly enjoyed the way the story was told, the blend of “old” and “new”. The characters were intriguing and their connection was explosive.
Definitely recommend!
I received an ARC of this book.
The story of Lia continues with her graduation party and the meeting of August. Lia’s father gifts her a rare kylix, and August wants to show her how it works, and to buy it from her. She does not want to sell it, but is willing to see how it works with August.
From there we go on a mythological journey through Zeus and other Gods.
This story was fabulous and well worth the purchase!
The Rose is a go forward from The Red. That had Paintings that came alive and this has Greek mythology which literally makes Liv “come alive”. Full of sass and attitude, she headbutts with swoonworthy August Bowman on her birthday over her father’s gift to her. They are fighting over a Kylix- A rose decorated antique Cup of sorts.
He matches Liv in confidence and passion, His claims aren’t exaggerated by any standards.
“Lia, I could make you come so hard that your body floats three feet off the sheets and lightning will explode from your belly. You will see smells and hear colors. The heavens will break open and you will touch the face of God when I make you come. And I could do it with my hands tied behind my back.”
Lia’s parents were introduced to us in The Red, this story is more intoxicating, more erotic, more heady in sensuality!!
The story keeps you on your toes throughout. I can actually say, keeps your Toes Curled” and there’s a twist towards the end which is quite interesting.
“And the gods do say women feel more pleasure in the act than men. When there is pleasure, that is women have the better time of it.”
Tiffany excels in Research and history before setting foot in any story she writes. Her knowledge of Greek Gods, Goddesses and Godwicks just blows my mind. Her details makes the story reverberate with power and passion in equal measure. I love her heroines they’re in a league of their own. Ophelia has the same stubborn and adventurous streak as Mona and I loved them both for it. Unabashedly erotic, it’s somehow gave me a very Kamasutra like feel.
4.5 stars for Hearing Colours and Smelling Sounds
4.5 Stars
Never thought I would say that I enjoyed reading a book about Greek Mythology as I know absolutely zilch about it. But that didn’t matter in this book. Tiffany Reisz has a way with her words that takes something you know nothing about and transforming it into a story that you can’t put down.
For Lia, the day of her university graduation party, her life changed. Unbeknown to Lia, the gift from her father held special powers. One that she will experiment how these powers work with a man that has shown up to her graduation party.
August Bowman, a sexy man who is very easy on the eyes has come to take Lia on the journey of her life! A man who knows what a woman wants and needs.
This book was an unusual twist for me to read. I enjoyed it as Tiffany Reisz has a way of pulling you into a book with her words, her research, her words leave you totally satisfied in more ways than one!

I had a semester of mythology in 7th grade; however, this book was not on the list! This was wonderfully done, sexy! This book was so unique! Lia and August, at the same party will have something to say about the kylix. It’s said to have magical powers. August wants it for his collection. Will Lia be willing to test the powers? This super sexy book entranced me!
If you have read The Red, with it’s beautiful cover and unique and captivating tale, you know it’s hard to capture that feeling in a story. I wasn’t so sure I would love The Rose as much. Well, it completely blew me away. This was one book that was hard to put down. I was so fully drawn into the magic and weaving of fantasies.
Lia is a proper lady, with a dirty secret, from a family wrought with naughty history. She also still holds a broken heart from her past. August is playful, but sincere, clever, and charming. Their interactions were sensual, but sweet.
Another thing I loved about The Rose is that it’s broken up with a light, teasing humor sprinkled throughout. Not to mention another knockout cover. You could read this as a stand alone and not be lost, if anyone is wondering.
This is a modern story with a Greek gods twist! Lia is a pretty normal girl who just happens to run an escort service just because she is bored having everything handed to her, except David who broke her heart and made her not believe in love. When her parents throw her a birthday party she just wants to hide but a new man on the scene won’t let her especially once her father gives her the gift he got for her, a beautiful wine goblet. August also wanted that goblet and is out to prove to her it’s dangerous and magical bestowing a chance to see what a Greek god did all those years ago.As Lia and August explore the different characters,David decides to blackmail her about her escort service and she goes to August to sell him the goblet. The adventures that they go on make you wish you could too and it was so entertaining that the story was over to soon for me but I really enjoyed it.

Lia met August Bowman at her graduation party given by her parents. It wasn’t loved at first sight, as a matter of fact, Lia tries to avoid August, for she knew he’s trouble. But he’s just persistent and charming his way to Lia to talk to him. The banter between these two is quite entertaining to read. And so when Lia’s father gave his gift to her the cup known as the Rose Kylix. August warned Lia about it that…
“If you drink from this cup you will have extraordinarily heightened sexual experiences.”
Will Lia believe August?
I’ve been fascinated by Greek’s god and goddess and their story. Tiffany Reisz just made a wonderful adaptation of each character in this book. Be warned, though, that this story will stimulate your wild imagination and if you already read a book by this author, you know she no holds barred when it comes to her writing. I found The Rose greatly enjoyable right from the start. There’s the mystery surrounding the Kylix and the secret Lia is hiding from her parents. A real page-turner, a perfect sequel to book 1, The Red! Recommended to readers who like erotic romance.
A question was left by the author…
Author: Shall we go for three?
Me: YES! Please!

Whenever I pick up a new Tiffany Reisz story, I have high expectations for something unique. The Rose did not disappoint, and it actually blew me away. No one tells a story the way Reisz does. The Rose weaves Greek mythology into a contemporary erotic romance in a way that is truly inventive. I loved Lia and August’s characters, their banter, and their escapades. This story is smart and naughty and swoony and fun. There are very few books I re-read, and I can tell you this one is now on that short list.
The mind of Tiffany Reisz never cease to amaze me!
The thing I liked the most about the first book, “The Red”, was that it was so different. Mixing new with old. History and art. It was sinfully hot with – a twist.
And now with “The Rose”!
Omg! Greek Mythology has never been more interesting that’s for sure. My knowledge of the Greek Gods is pretty slim, but now, I feel like I have to learn more.
It all began with Lia’s birthday, a Greek artifact gifted by her dad, a handsome stranger and a big regret from her past.
There is a connection between this artifact and the stranger and Lia’s knowledge of Greek Mythology will take her on a journey beyond her wildest imagination.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. I only knew from reading the first one that I needed more. And now after reading this one, I feel lost, I need even more. But can any new book top this one?
I’ve been a huge Tiffany Reisz fan for some years now and I’m pretty sure Ms. Reisz can do it. She did say after “The Red” that there wouldn’t be a sequel …
I am for sure going to dream about hot, Greek Gods tonight
