Ziva continued to ghost us while Rook has Misty. The instructions are clear. We are all summoned to a warehouse. We … clear. We are all summoned to a warehouse. We will go to our deaths in the hopes there is any chance of saving Misty.
We have something Rook doesn’t know about. Milo, Granny’s pissed off ex FBI boyfriend. He will try to save the day if we can’t

A good end to an entertaining series. Or is it? I really hope that the author finds a way to continue the story. For me, it came as no surprise when Rook was finally revealed and the way Misty was kidnapped doesn’t fit with how any of the four main male characters would behave, but that didn’t stop me thoroughly enjoying reading it. Like the rest, this one is based on the point of view of a different character and you get to know a little bit more about them. The recap is useful and isn’t too long or repetitive.
If you haven’t read any of this series, start at the beginning and work your way through. Once you start, you won’t be able to stop.
This is a great book it was an amazing end to a fantastic series. You won’t see Rooks identity coming This is an amazing happily ever after.
Things are getting more dangerous when they are asked to enter an empty warehouse with no backup or weapons. They will go if only to save her and if she is already dead and they die as well, oh well. See if they can finally get her back in their arms

Written from Andres point of view and hot as hell. Misty and the guys are on the case of figuring out who Rook is,the hints are there. JB takes us on this journey with Misty and her guys who would do anything for her and they keep her fully satisfied. By the end of the book you will be wishing that you could jump right in and be Misty. Reverse Harem is definitely my choice for JB, she will leave you panting.

This was the 5th and last of the series. Wow, what a conclusion. I thought I knew who Rook was and it turned out to be a different person. The Dangerous Chess series was full on suspense, creativity, and a dash of erotica. A perfect combo. I loved this series, but if I had to pick one the these hotties, well, scratch that. I guess I couldn’t.
If you’re looking for a great erotic mystery, look no further.
This is the 5th & final book in the ‘Dangerous Chess’ series & is told from Andre’s POV.
The entire series has been excellent, each book told from a different member’s POV: Misty, Aiden, Casey & Garth & with each book the reader journeys farther along with the characters in the dangerous & lethal life game of chess being played by an evil foe who goes by the sobriquet of ROOK.
ROOK has lost several players in the game with Misty & her 4 Princes & ROOK is NOT pleased. Things become intense as ROOK & his Queen focus their deadly attentions on Misty & her Princes, & it will take all their intelligence, abilities & friends to survive ROOK’s plans & attacks.
I found this book to be very low key compared to the others, Andre is a very non-violent person, physically & mentally & so this book focuses more on the steps to protect Misty & foil ROOK, more intellectually pursuing & defeating their foes. It was refreshing to read a book that was intense but based more on logic & intellect vs brute force or violent action. However, there IS action, intensity, violence, danger, threats, but overall I felt Andre’s story was one of love: how the 4 men had been best friends as boys, brothers in the military & best friends living together, how they were able to find Misty who loved all 4 of them exactly as they were & wanted to ensure they ALL stayed together.
Milo (Granny’s ex-FBI boyfriend) & Zila make appearances, with Milo helping Misty & her men with his tough experienced common sense & FBI experience & can do, will do attitude to find & punish Granny’s killer.
All in all, I found this to be a wonderful conclusion to this awesome series, & I am sad to say goodbye to Andre, Aiden, Casey, Gareth, Misty & Milo.
underestimating the tiniest member of their tribe is one of the biggest mistakes
destroying Granny was the other Killing her lit a fire under all the boys and Misty, as well as retired FBI beau Milo.
more hornets stirred than Rook realized.
Ziva and her little sit on the details game nearly cost the boys Misty, and came at the price of serious harm to their friend Sasha.
In the end, ego was the biggest downfall of all for Rook and crazy Serena, leaving the data to destroy so many of their operations in a location with Misty.
A solid family, if unusual in their make up. A fitting series of changes to such a dreadful collection of efforts.
Great reading it on Kindle Unlimited too!
