I’m the master of my world.A ruler from the skies of a lost planet. The ship captain who watches from above.Until an alien invades my heart and everything changes. She’s from another world and doesn’t want saving, for she’s on a quest of her own.Feisty and fiery, she burns bright like the sun.I crave to capture her and keep her.To hold the sparkling female in my arms forever, uncaring if I get … arms forever, uncaring if I get burned.
A chance mission given by my commander has us sequestered on the Mayvina all alone.
I only have a few solars to prove to her how good we can be together.
It’s simple to me: handsome mort plus lovely alien equals mates forever. Right?
Wrong.
Nothing I say or do has an effect. She’s as stubborn as I am good looking.
She’s the one thing I can’t control. A star shooting across the sky, never meant to be caught.
But I will catch her heart.
It’s written in the stars.
We can be more than a space fling.
We can be everything.
I just have to convince her first.

It has been a while since the release of book five but the beginning just drags you right back into the alien world. Another wonderful work by this duo. I can not wait for the next book.

I can’t wait for the next book of this series, this series is such an addiction to me!
I Highly Recommend reading all the books in order.
Holy wow… this series just keeps getting better and better. When these two wonderful ladies stop writing about “not-Kevins” I will be devastated. Until then I am going to enjoy every word they write about all these Morts and their mates. I love this series not only because of these amazing Morts but because of this unique setting. I am drawn to the small snips of info we get every now and then, like this…
“According to research passed on from Grace, the morts were once like us, a long time ago. They were humans until the radiation that drove the generations before me into the sky altered them forever. He’s human-like, but not.”
Seriously! That alone just makes me want to read more! I’m sure I’ve said this before but this is not a series you want to just pick and choose from. This is one you need to read from the very beginning to get a full understanding. You definitely won’t regret it.
I practically read this book in one sitting. I just didn’t want to put it down. Theron’s ego will make you laugh. But his naive side is so adorable. I love how he tries to figure out some of the things Willow calls him or says to him. He loves fierce, like the rest of them, and will do anything to protect his mate.
Willow has a tough exterior. She has to have one with everything that she has had to experience. However she is also scared and unsure of the future. I think that this has a big factor in why she fights Theron at first. I love how strong and fierce she is but also how sweet and sensitive she got when talking to her mom. I can’t wait until those two can finally hold each other.
Now lets quickly mention that epilogue. I didn’t predict that at all. I thought we’d get something different. Can’t say I’m not excited though. I’ll patiently be waiting for more.
Loved this addition to our favorite Morts. I’ve decided to favor one is impossible. I love them all!! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
The Rogue Captain is yet another fantastic addition to this incredible series! Watching the plot continue to unravel and dig deeper then I thought possible leaves me in awe and squealing with excitement. This series has taken my heart by storm, and I am loving it more and more with each fabulous story that is added to it. It awakens my creativity and makes my heart soar with all of the beautiful ways that our beloved Morts are finding and protecting their amazing mates. What an exhilarating series!
Theron’s story is one of persistent and heart. He knows who and what he wants, and he won’t settle for anything or anyone less. Willow has run from a horrible past in order to find her family. There is nothing else that matters to her. She will not be distracted not even by an alien obsessed with stealing her heart. When diabolical forces threaten everything and everything they love, they must decide what is the most important thing to hold onto. Can Theron convince Willow to give him a chance, or will her past scars prove too much to give him what he wants?
Willow and Theron seem to be the unlikeliest couple, but as this story progresses, we see the huge potential these two have together. They compliment the other, and Theron surprised me with his history and who he really is. There is so much more than I expected, and I feel in love with him. Willow was a beautiful surprise to this series. I can’t wait to see how things change with these wonderful Morts as their family grows and becomes so much more complex. Beauty abounds!
Nicole Blanchard and K Webster have given us another beautiful masterpiece with this wonderful book. They have stolen my heart and the very breath from my lungs. I love their world of wonder and surprises, and I hate to leave it because my heart stays behind everytime. Do not miss out on their extraordinary series because your heart will thank you.
