So great getting to learn all about Layla and how she came into the mix. Jess and Layla’s attraction was strong. Fun little side stories too.

The Rocker Who Savors Me was the second book in Terri Anne Browning’s Rocker series.
We met Jessie Thornton previously as the gorgeous drummer in the Demon’s Wings rock band. He was one of the four band members that grew up in the small trailer park as a band of brothers who were now widely successful and still going strong. Having never had good role models, he wasn’t into relationships. Until he was blindsided by Layla.
Layla Daniels had a tough upbringing. She was kicked out at sixteen and later after her mother died gained custody of her younger sisters. Thanks to her mother, she was immune to rocker stars and had no interest in them or their lifestyle and learned to survive at a young age. She was beautiful, a hard worker, loyal and dedicated to her sisters.
I loved Jesse from the previous book. He was a total rock badass, but he had a soft spot that we witnessed with Emmy that carried over into this book as well. I also loved how Browning included all of the characters from the series and continued to develop each one. Although the Rocker Who Savors Me focused on Jesse and Layla, secrets were continued to be revealed for future storylines.
I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline, but there were numerous editing errors that were too frequent not to be distracting. Otherwise, it was a fast read, entertaining and enjoyable. Drake and his demons are up next in The Rocker That Needs Me.
This is the second book in this series and just absolutely loved it! Loved Jesse and Layla together and just loved their story. To have my favourites from the first book in it again was oh so good. Love the bond! Can’t wait to read the next one in this series

Better than the first one!
I loved the insta-attraction between Jesse and Layla. I mean, it moves VERY fast- the whole I love you confession came at you like a speeding bullet but it just felt right. Their chemistry was off-the-charts, equal parts hot and sweet. I felt all melty inside every time Jesse talked about him and Layla making love. *swoon*
Jesse is the perfect example of a good guy, rocker boyfriend. Faithful, protective, loving, sexy, has incredible stamina and is a family man. He’s like an intense, hot and bald teddy bear. Sounds kinda funny but he’s just so cuddly and muscled and wonderful. And he’s head over heels in love with Layla.
Liked Layla. A lot. She has a bad-a** outward appearance with all of her tattoos but is so much more than that. She’s just plain cool, caring, beautiful and thoughtful. Like Jesse, she’s not had an easy upbringing. She’s in charge of raising her sisters and took on that responsibility without a second thought. And she’s head over heels in love with Jesse.
I didn’t think the plot was super complicated which isn’t always a bad thing. The drama that was present was short lived and primarily came from Layla’s reactions (mostly overreactions in my opinion) to certain situations.
The story could be a bit “repeaty” at times, when alternating character POVs. I guess I’d rather have more details than not though.
Very cute epilogue. Makes me very excited to see how it’ll play out in future books- especially since I’ve seen some of the titles yet to come!
