A millennium into the future two advances have altered the course of human history: the colonization of the Galaxy and the creation of the positronic brain. Isaac Asimov’s Robot novels chronicle the unlikely partnership between a New York City detective and a humanoid robot who must learn to work together.Detective Elijah Baiey is called to the Spacer world Aurora to solve a bizarre case of … case of roboticide. The prime suspect is a gifted roboticist who had the means, the motive, and the opportunity to commit the crime. There’s only one catch: Baley and his positronic partner, R. Daneel Olivaw, must prove the man innocent. For in a case of political intrigue and love between woman and robot gone tragically wrong, there’s more at stake than simple justice. This time Baley’s career, his life, and Earth’s right to pioneer the Galaxy lie in the delicate balance.

Love the Elijah Bailey/Daneel Olivaw books! Old school detective novels with a science fiction twist.
This book came out years after the trilogy of the Caves of Steel series came out. It showed what could happen in the future, humans living 200 years by replacing body parts as necessary and how robots could be the future for technology. Also, how robots could become sentient. It was an amazing concept.
In The Robots of Dawn—the Robot series’s third installment—Elijah Baley is again sent off-world to solve a murder (or roboticide since the deceased is a humaniform robot named Jander Panell). This time it’s to the planet of Aurora. Once again, he finds himself paired with his robot partner, R. Daneel Olivaw, but this time, Daneel is accompanied …
First in the line of 13. Telepathic robot beginning. Great story line
I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Read all the Robot and Foundation books, Si fi at its best
The Robots of Dawn is just one of Asimov’s Lije Baley Robot Novels. If you haven’t read any of them, they’re both mystery and SciFi and to my way of thinking, a wonderful combination. Not the first in the series, this novel continues the story of Lije Baley, detective, from a quarantined Earth. He’s trying to evolve into someone who isn’t afraid …
All the Asimov robot books are great
Any of Isaac’s books are worth reading.
This was a very good detective novel involving robots on other worlds and the issue of the colonization of space, once the mechanics of faster than light travel have been worked out. I am not a fan of detective nor robot stories, but I still found this book immensely worthwhile. The detective works very methodically to solve this seemingly …
I love all of his books, but especially the robot novels.
The entire Robot Series is another masterpiece by Asimov. To me, there is none better. The entire series is great. Once you start you are hooked. This series and the Foundation Series are his finest.
